EFCC arrest ‘Yahoo Boy’ who defrauded Hong Kong lady of £79,000 in love scam

A banker and Account Officer with Access Bank, Ojo Adefemi Adedoyin, who allegedly connived with one Favour Oriafoh, 30, to defraud a Hong Kong national, Xu Yue of £79,000 (Seventy Nine Thousand Pounds) have been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Their arrest came, following investigation into a petition received from the Hong Kong Police Force, that the young lady was a victim of romance scam traced to Nigeria.


Admitting to the crime, Oriafoh who goes by the con name, Terry Mac, confessed that he opened a FaceBook account in the name, just to defraud whoever falls prey to his baits.
“She had fallen in love with me as Terry Mac, a football agent,” he said.
He thereafter took advantage of her love and defrauded her of the said amount, using the domiciliary account of one Adeyemi Hassan Adedeji.
During interrogation, he confessed that the Banker, Adedoyin, provided him with the domiciliary account information to which the money was transferred to.
“The agreement was that whatever funds were received through the account, the account officer and the owner of the account will be entitled to 15 per cent of the funds,” he confessed.
The Banker has made useful information to the Commission and they will soon be charged to court.

Man Dies During Sex Competition After Seventh Round In Lagos



Facts have emerged on how a middle aged man, simply known as Davy, died in a popular hotel in Lagos during a sex competition with a lady.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at the popular hotel located in Ikotun area of Lagos where the deceased took the lady identified as Loveth for the competitive romp.

It was gathered that the late Davy had argued with Loveth on who among the duo can last longer during a sex romp. Both claimed that they were stronger and refused to admit defeat.
During the argument, Davy staked N50,000 between him and Loveth on the condition that if Loveth will defeat him during the romp, she will take the money.
Loveth agreed knowing fully that such money was staked. She then got prepared, moved into the hotel and booked for a chalet.
It was gathered that while it lasted Davy went through to the sixth round but Loveth was unshaken till the seventh round when Davy collapsed and died on top of her.
She then raised alarm and contacted the hotel management who handed her over to the Ikotun Police Division while the corpse of the deceased was deposited at an undisclosed hospital for autopsy report.
However, Loveth was later transferred to the SCIID Panti Yaba, where she informed the police what transpired between her and late Davy.
It was gathered that the fate of Loveth will depend on the outcome of the autopsy report. From the report, it will be determined if she is culpable and may be charged to court for murder.

According to reports, the women use the little children who are being rented for N1,000 per day to beg around the metropolis while pretending to be blind.
It is also claimed that some of the children are victims of human trafficking and don’t even know who there parents are.

I was shocked to my marrows yesterday when the taskforce team of Anambra Ministry of Women Affairs, Social welfare and Children Development burst into fraud and child trafficking syndicates who parade themselves as beggars. These group of women disguise themselves as blind beggars and perpetuate child trafficking.
The most shocking issue is that most of the children they use for begging are not their children. This woman whose pictures appear above revealed that one Edith who hails from Ebonyi state and is currently at large brings those kids to them every morning for them to rent at 1,000 naira per day.
On closer interaction with those children, the Commissioner in-charge of the Ministry was able to discover that those kids don’t even know where their parents are. It is being speculated that these kids are victims of kidnapping and trafficking.

I read many reactions to the new marriage of Oni of Ife. I have also read condemnation of the action of the new bride, an evangelist stepping into her new home on the blood of an animal. Some said it is about tradition. Some said it is fetish.
Others are quick to label her as a ritualist. Permit me to say that blood is very central to many religions in our world today. All taking their origin in the Ancient Near East. Thus the expression”blood of the lamb”. The eid ahdah celebration is about blood offering to the Almighty creator of humanity.
The anthropologists among us will tell inform on the value of blood to our existence. Thinking of female monthly flow. Without it no life. Based on these premises I wish to submit that the new bride of Oni has done nothing wrong based on the traditions of the Ife people, Yoruba and humanity as a whole.
We should see the blood as a symbolic sacrifice to Olodumare. The signify a new beginning for the bride and groom. I pray we don’t condemn the act but appreciate the symbolic value of the stepping on blood. It is about life not death as in death, blood cease to flow. I await comments.

A young boy identified as Ogbunala Emeka, has been rescued alive, almost 24 hours after falling inside a borehole pit said to be about 150ft deep in Imo State.
The 3 years old boy had gone for bible study at the Saint Paul Anglican Church, Ezeoke Nsu Street, Owerri, yesterday, when he fell inside the pit within the church premises.

The police are currently searching for it. But reports say that the search is complicated as Amber has lots of people trooping in and out of her house, so it’s hard to say exactly when and how the ring went missing.

Drama as pastor rolls in engine oil while members spray money on him during crusade (video)



A video has shown the moment a Ghanaian pastor caused a stir after rolling in engine oil. The video has since gone viral online.

The cleric identified as Pastor Blessing of the Christ Faith Overcomers Chapel was filmed rolling about on the ground which was covered with engine oil during a recent church programme in Accra, Ghana.
As he rolls about, his church members are seen singing and clapping as they gather round him. At one point, two young men came forward to spray some amount of money on the pastor while he continued to roll on the ground.
The pastor later stood up and prayed for the members.
The very reason why he decided to roll about in the engine oil is not entirely clear at the moment.

Nura Ilyasu, the man who climbed a telecommunications mast in Abuja on Wednesday to protest the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari, has finally descended.

He came down from the mast on Thursday.
Ilyasu touched ground at 11:25am voluntarily, after security operatives acceded to his request that he must address the press upon his descent.
According to Ilyasu, he climbed the mast to protest the economic hardship in the country, just as he stated that President Muhammadu Buhari does not deserve another four years in office.

Security agents had made entreaties to him since Wednesday when he mounted the mast, but their efforts proved abortive, as he had vowed not to descend until President Muhammadu Buhari resigns from the office.
However, this morning, they were able to communicate with him via his mobile telephone, and they appealed to him. He later told them that he would come down on the condition that he must speak to the press.
He said: “My name is Nura Ilyasu. I am 28 years old. What I did is within the purview of the law. My human right is to protest peacefully and I never threatened my life or any other person


“What we are going through in this country is not from God. Some microscopic-view individuals hijacked all that God endowed Nigeria with for decent life, and we can’t continue like this. I climbed up for seven days hunger strike to protest the incompetence and cluelessness, to protest presidential impunity and general docility displayed by the masses. We can’t continue like this.
“Other competent candidates are there; even Saraki, Atiku, Kwankwaso, Tambuwal, Dankwambo and others. At least one of these [men] will make a good President.
“I don’t believe General Buhari deserves another four-year term in Nigeria because the pervasive hunger and poverty in Nigeria is inexplicable. I don’t have mental disorder as being insinuated by some people.”
When asked how he felt now that he had come down from the mast, Ilyasu said he was full of life and mentally stable.
He said he came down because some lawyers spoke to him while he was on the mast. He was later taken away by security operatives.
Ilyasu climbed a mast with the approval number AB0099 belonging to Airtel Nigeria, located few metres away from the presidential villa and Lungi Army Barracks, on Wednesday.

Tamar Braxton, 41, has found love again shortly after ending her 9-year marriage to Vince Herbert, and it’s with a Nigerian man.
The American singer revealed she’s in a new relationship on Thursday during the season 10 premiere week on The Wendy Williams show.
She told Wendy the man is from Nigeria but has been in Los Angeles for a while. She went on to gush about him when Wendy Williams showed a photo of his body.
Wendy said:
I’ll describe him: he’s African, he’s in wealth finance, he’s got dreads and he’s got a really nice body.
At this point, Braxton excitedly interrupts:
He’s fine! Hallelujah!
Braxton then goes on to reveal that not only is he fine physically, he’s also intelligent and ambitious. He graduated from Harvard Business School. She also revealed she met his 3 months ago at a friend’s party.
I met him at a friend’s birthday party, thank you God, he’s so fine! I can’t take it sometimes. It’s like a whole snack — a Lunchable!
He lives in L.A., he’s originally from Nigeria, but he lived here for a while.
