ObaIgwe1: "It is not only the goal that he scored, he changed the game. Every time he got the ball, he makes things happen and we are more of a threat. To do that at that age, in this context with the pressure, the expectations to win the game, it's just not normal.
"It's so organic for him, he doesn't feel the pressure. He goes, gets the ball, stops on the ball. It's natural for him, that's the best thing, so just make sure he does what he feels.
"When you have such a talent then I'm sure good things are going to happen."
- Arteta on Dowman Blueray, for context. On a norm, na to shield the kid. But he's just above all of that level already. |

BlueRayDick: MKe Una calm down ó. Which one is risk it with 7 games to go and we are not yet assured of winning the league?
If na u, will u suddenly introduce youngster like Dowman and an erratic Lewis-Skelly into the starting line-up at this stage when pressure is mounting on us towards the final lap of the season?
I support the idea of having Dowman come in like he did yesterday in matches we need fresh legs and creativity like yesterday. I don't support him coming on in a game like Brighton or any other game we needed to hang on a thread to see the game off. I believe the use of these players should be needs-based and not just emotionally based because yesterday's game outcome.
This is our most important football season in a very long time and I will hate to see it ruined because the coach decided to risk It all when he didn't need to. By risk, i mean no need to bench them like before cos you as coach feel they're not set for the big stage or whatever reasons are given. That's the risk he needs to take-giving them even more minutes. It helps the main guys rest more. So when you hear risk, no be me go connote the one wey go ruin season when me sef wan see that trophy come home. Jejely abeg!! On the other hand, someone like Dowman is new to defenders. The manager need not bring them for games outside their capacity. But let them ball too. This is not the 1st time it will happen. The kid literally unlocked that low block The low block will continue cos it's Arsenal, till May. If he will play a big part in that unlocking, let him. |

Arteta should trust MLS and Dowman this remaining games to the end of the season. Risk it. Nothing to protect them for again abeg. Trash that excuse. They will add more and will come in to a bigger output in this depth contribution. |

This match is reminiscent of that Nelson goal vs Bournemouth that made the title within grip before the slips further the road. The big difference now is the points are too far off and pressure is going to choke Pep due to the Games coming up.
We are doing this.
21 more points to fight for. We need 11points from the 7games left. Normally, we can play safe vs Man City but lets go for the W. |

Zubi Madueke Saka Kai
All of them no dey this pitch abeg. See that free shot Eveeton see get, see Zubi watching instead of entering to block. 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Kai is winning aerial challenges to give a blue shirt right back. Nothing else sincerely. Arteta sef. Why White dey warm up and na Mosquera dey come on instead? Isnt he seeing Saka stink?
Make we sha dey pray for Rice. Make nothing do am at this stage of the season. Na den people go turn Firelord Ozai cos Norgaard can't play that role. |

iamoyindamola: Arteta wont use norgaard, rice and MLS together or rice, eze and MLS Zubi must be involved, the funny thing is in Spain he doesn't play all matches because there coach rotate him Maybe he want make the guy force way enter WC squad or something cos if Rice no dey that midfield or backline, na yeye goals. E sure me say if Zubi and Rams dey play, dem no go still wan blame Zubi. Man has to trust the usage of NRM they're all good with long balls, running and tackles, while the flair with MLS can be an advantage |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by daveP(m): 5:35pm On Mar 13 |
Fkforyou: It would be nice if MLS plays the number 6 role with Rice mentoring him.
He is a risk taker but also rash sometimes, that is where Rice comes in.
Zubi don tire well, na Timber I dey pity self, baba was forced to play FA cup because white no want just dey fit at all.
Him and Calafiori. Some talking will make the kid behave. As you said, Rice will be there. He makes work easier for Rice than Zubi. Many teams have this technical approach that movements from MLS cancels entirely. If i were Arteta i go just begin work on am to start midfield switch straight. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by daveP(m): 5:32pm On Mar 13 |
iamoyindamola: I will say for eze The way Arteta want to deploy him is farther right than deep like MLS. The closer Eze is to Gyokores, the better for our attack. He moves no doubt but with MLS and Norgaard, even Rice will have some freedom. I'm not convinced with Zubi for this UCL. Eze was dropping too much vs Bayer and Rice was doing Zubi's work than Zubi. Plus this Timber attack needs to stop imo. Guy gets in the way but decision making stiffles an already sweet chance simply because ball is at his feet. I believe he will do better for the 2nd leg though. Probably a goal or assist. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by daveP(m): 11:37am On Mar 13 |
MLS is key for our creativity in this UCL KO stages. Its time for him to return to the lineup, but in midfield. He's that risk taker that clicks down the middle, can't be bullied off the ball as well. That PSG game made everyone realize he was a gem. Will coachie take that risk so we can get goals early. Can't imagine us struggling to get a goal for 90mins on UCL nights just cos approach is stiffling everyone in attack, starters or subs.
Get MLS on abeg. |
