The rules guiding participation for top flight club football in Nigeria needs to change and asap. We can't be having such embarrassing moment in the middle of the season due to circumstances that could be avoided prior to promotion.

LMC get their own for body
Kun Khalifat get bigger one for body.

Its time to sort all these shenanigans and make all 20clubs agree. Let this nonsense remain in the 2nd division and let the legal framework also be in place so clubs can challenge some mishap.

Safety will vary by location. I would generally consider the South-West - Lagos, Ogun, Ibadan axis to be safer than the other regions.

But travelling to support a NPFL clubside would be too stressful due to our poor public transportation infrastructure.

E go better make person just do the home games of the NPFL club he supports where he resides.

If to say I still dey Lag, I go dey stroll into Onikan stadium once in a while to watch Sporting Lagos and Ikorodu City FC home games.
Same.

If fluid railway service exists, football fans in Nigeria will generate more revenue for FG than those traders/business folk.

They need to work on safety gaan. Especially during derbies. The stadium bans are not working. Same for the fines.

Question

Seeing the population of kids at Club games in Europe and all, is the NPFL safe for kids to watch full games b2b for a whole season without fear of harm or misconduct?

Ur argument makes no sense. U say if a player is that good they should move to the next level but then u are making excuses for the 2 players I named. Shouldn't they have gone to the next level since they were good enough to carry Spain and Colombiahuh Just say u don't like the players in question and stop coming up with fake excuses. I have proven that it is not abnormal to play the U20WC twice anything else is your business.
I still maintain. That was a worst case scenario. You've played the Like/dislike card as usual 😆😆😆😆😆😆

Has nothing to do with that, trust me.

WAFCON/AFCON is a super tough competition now, African teams due to logistics think they can’t win the World Cup so they put all their eggs in the continental tourney
Drama competition
To win again go sweet truly but i will prefer getting that WWC ticket. 😂

I doubt any can match us like the E/Guinea did that year. SA and MAR can't even do better than the guineans that year. Im hungrier for WWC dominance. Waldrum don spark believe. Na PK just ruin everything. Chai. Ayinde and Alozie vs England!!

How is age an excuse? U are either the set age or not. U want to punish someone because they were good enough to make it at an early age? You are also punishing the coach by expecting him to drop a player he likes just because you are tired of seeing her.

Claudia Pina (Spain) and Linda Caicedo (Colombia) both played the U20 World Cup twice. There have even been others who played 3 times. This is not anything strange.
That's why it's a loop. It also has more disadvantages than advantage. Your punishing stance is coming from the idea that better talents don't exists to replace such a player and that bogus. If you're that good, then proceed to next stage not continuing at the same stage abeg. The two examples you gave carried the whole team. The two we are highlighting here did not, can't even carry half the team, on and off pitch.

Whether you spin it or not, it is a loop.
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 11:28pm On Jan 31
BascoVanVeli:
There is no loop, Taiwo is the right age for this level. She didn't even play at the U20WC last time.

Btw both Oshoala and Ajibade played at the U20WC twice. If u are under the age limit there is no reason why not.
Simple English!!

The loop is bringing players to repeat age grade competitions using the age as the excuse for repeat.

As for the other 2 you used, they're exceptional but still under that loop. Don't make this look like someone is stretching abeg.

This new fifa club competition for the ladies is making me grit my teeth at how the nwfl clubs fall hand. Asfar getting that slot for this year's own.

When will an nwfl club recover the grounds and take over, or are they slipping away due to lack of better technical staff?

The next edition better have a rep from Nigeria. Imagine an Essien playing vs Arsenal and the coach sees her and gets her.

First, it was all fun and games, now it isn't anymore. For the quality Arsenal possesses in their ranks, taking the ball to the wings every time in the hope of winning a corner is the stuff mid-table and bottom-placed teams are known for. Arteta's very compact system, which is heavily reliant on set-pieces, is not sustainable in the long term; when it fails, Arsenal struggles...

Looking at the quality in Arsenal's rank, I expect Arsenal to play a very expansive game with slick passing and combination play...I still maintain the Arsenal team of 3 seasons ago was the best, the team attacked with purpose and speed leaving the opposition limited time to organize their defence. Now, it is aimless passing at the back and when they go forward, they try to win a corner more than create a scoring chance. Maybe it has sunk into the players' heads that the best way to create a scoring chance is through set-pieces...
God bless you for this!!

Add the way we are comfortable keeping the ball at the back needlessly and without urgency when we need an urgent dying minute goal. Simply put, no team in the EPL from top to bottom can ever get scared of us in dying minutes. We can never ever bite.

EducationRe: If You Don't Have Money To Go To School Please Do Not Go, Learn A Skill. by daveP(m): 12:23pm On Jan 26
Here's why it will continue to be a govt problem

For every 2 term tenure(8years) of a president, over half a million are graduating annually. That puts the figures of 8years at about 5 to 6m graduates.

In retrospect, the government is barely creating jobs for 30,000 graduates per year. That's barely 300,000 jobs for over 6,000,000 graduates.

I know not all graduates are good enough but if we cut those ones off, the jobs are still not enough for the good graduates.

Party loyalists are champions of screaming the "Learn a skill" noise every blessed day so the burden can fall on the private sector. But the very graduates in millions are now having to be in the same room with the uneducated and partially educated who are even 5× the graduates popular per year. Rem we have to factor in location where jobs can easily pop up and pay is good. This alone makes cities like Abuja, Lagos, PH, Aba, Ibadan, Borno to be loaded with artisans all competing for the few available slots to earn a daily wage at work sites.

If you add how useless the currency gets daily, and the ever constant desperation expressed through cheating and stealing from employers, and then the low quality of job done, you'll see why the larger blame will never ever shift from the government.

Is like many dunno how concentrated many fields are because Nigerian youths are loaded and eager to earn something to not rely on anybody. Before graduation, we see the increase of entrepreneurs among university students doing 4 to 5 different trades with their studies to survive. They come out of that and try to continue but government policies and the harsh environment and saturated field makes it hard.

Now lets add the low purchasing power of those expected to demand for such goods and services and we see why the buck lies on the government.

It took barely 7years for Nigerian youths to flood the tech field. Same way it took barely 6 years for the same youths to turn Master's Degree to something so common it barely makes a difference in many formal rooms in Nigeria. Even those that got their abroad still have to compete as well with the home based

In conclusion, let's just sincerely say this

220m Nigerians are existing daily with NO GOVERNMENT

Everywhere is saturated

Everyday i see different advices on twitter encouraging everybody to go learn a tech skill
We graduate about 500,000 young Nigerians every year, imagine all of them going into coding, UI/UX, data analysis etc.. which country will absorb all of them, because definitely no company in Nigeria will absorb 2% of that?

We seriously need jobs in this country
We can't continue adapting .

Is it the fault of the government or the citizens are not learning skills?

We're playing like we have no pointman because the person who is supposed to be the pointman is flopping. Simple!

Everybody here calls out the coach when he messes up. He himself knew he was at fault today. He said it during the interview. But when you try to blame the coach for your man's ineffectiveness, what does that portray?

Anyway, be calm eh.. The league is coming.
All this is massaging the truth. The pointman is on pitch but he is made to be like he's not. THAT IS THE CRUX not him missing scrappy chances. My conscience is clear. Whether he's my fave or not, he still colet his own blame. But I'm yet to see you highlight some of what he should be held accountable for.

League coming or not doesn't mean we should be wuiet every time. That's too convenient.

While we are at it, can we talk about Zubi? Sometimes, like today, I don't blame him entirely even though he looked lost and overwhelmed out there. He couldn't figure out the spaces between him and United's midfielders. Countless times, they breezed past him and eliminated his positioning.

However, the same can be said of all our midfielders. For perspective, take a close look at Dorgu's and Cunha's goals! United's midfield play and passing just made our players look like cones as they weaved past us. They shrunk the midfield, put our midfielders in the middle of their passing box and just eased their way into scoring.

Compare that to our midfielders always wide away from each other. We are playing longer passes between each other, stretching the middle just so we can find width. Do you know why we are looking for width? Well, we have a higher chance of winning corner kicks when we do that. When we lose the ball, because our midfielders are soo far apart, United or any opponent are able to breeze past before our defenders even approach them.
Even if this was the truth(though i disagree to an extent), does that now justify the jeopardy option? Can't he choose the long ball options? I blame him baje cos it happened b2b2b now. Pls blame him wella. Arteta that likes him prefered to even remove him and leave the defense with no shield that continue to see such abysmal display.

What's sad is as it stands we no even get replacement for him. If he injures, and we don't change approach, L go increase.
