I get you
If we allow other players get game time, they may grow to become leaders too
Remember how Bassey was error prone in the early days
Yeah. Let's not also forget those that click immediately they debut and stay on till. Overall, recruiting na all time low. For now we face AFCON sha. I heard some legends talked to Bassey that year. Talk made the difference.

If only a player of Onyeka level was on the bench in 2014 after Onazi was injured. The game just collapse from there. Chai.

Personally im expecting nothing much from Ndidi. All well and good if he dazzles but guy is no longer at that level. Let's not wait for KO to do i told you so.

We don't need to have players at the same levels as them
We just need competent substitutes
For me, these 4 players should complete all our games
Fact remains we currently don't have that. Only Onazi injury and we collapsed in 2014. Still fresh in memory. Replacement o not competition.

Competition is near equal in tech and performance na.
Replacement is mostly near in tech and near in performance.

Hilarious fact

We currently have no replacements for these guys

Lookman
Osimhen
Iwobi
Bassey

And this alone is scary. And we wan go World Cup. The engine room of the SE right now.

Wait fes, we never even replace Iheanacho till now.😂😂😂😂🤦🏽‍♂️

His last game with the Malian team is what almost played out this night. It was last AFCON against Senegal where he squandered a 2-0 lead to 2-2 and went ahead to lose in penalties. That was when the picture of them pouring water on him surfaced
The man might be cursed with having useless assistants asid his own shenanigans

Nwabali no fit catch ball again. The same Nwabali wey dey catch aerial ball steady before.

Something is definitely wrong.
Then he was new to the team. Plus Jpes no dey take nonsense from GKs then. Last afcon, see the way he used to be vexed on the touchline at Nwabali tantrums. Finidi came and no reaction. Eguavoen didn't even.... Woh!!!

In which world does a manager no vex at such? Na why i dey miss Mourinho that year. You can't be his gk and be silly

understandable, that why he is a professional. I am not attacking him Mikel played wella in Olympics even when there was news that his father was kidnapped. So this excuse no sell. Nwabali should go and rest . I thought they said he was not fit afcon? What changed? No body should give this excuse ooo
Me feel its the latter that is causing it sef. I just added the former cause it happened lately.

He has no competition!!

That is the cause

The coach is the real culprit in this game
Oga, he's not the first to play when rain dey fall. Enyeama and Mweene played under heavy showers in 2013 and 2014. Heavier than the rain of tonight. They excelled. Abeg abeg. Call failure hin papa name. No excuses. We can both call them out for their errors

Bro, when I saw that AFCON list, na the goalkeepers list demoralize me pass. I was so irritated.

In the history of Nigeria, we have never been plagued by this many terrible goalies. What I would give to have Ezenwa or even Akpeyi as an option again…chai! This thing worse pass trenches. If we face a proper team, all those dem Senegal, Morocco, even South Africa, e go too bloody.

How did Okoye not make the list? Is Chelle scared that he will be outshined in beauty by another laiskin boy? I would have preferred to have an Okoye on the bench, than the options we currently have. I’m so irritated, and tonight was going so well.
From WCQ disappointment to seeing the 3 final goalies. I lost interest in this tournament instantly. When this is not some circus auditions, they brought back Uzoho!! Like Uzoho!! This is the peak of football nepotism. We are having an Nwabali that acts like he's doing us a favor as GK cos he also feels competition no dey and na two clowns they add as backup. 🤢😑😑😑

I would gladly take back an Ezenwa that is great at organizing his players during setpieces than whatever version of Nwabali im seeing right now.

Scary Thought

We might ball in this tournament but na GK go be the weapon fashioned against such balling!!!

This is not the Nwabali we knew last AFCON. What jas happened to that guy??
His personal family issues and lack of competition. He's kept about 90% of our matches since he stood between the sticks.

This GK palava started from Sunday Oliseh. The early retirement of Vincent Enyeama led to all this rubbish.

From Ezenwa and Ikeme and Agbim down to Uzoho and Maduka, Nwabali. We can barely go into a game without fear of the GK doing something funny to our hearts.

Still, why is it hard to produce better GK sef? Onana 2.0 dey do IT and now it was a wasted spot. Amas is obviously here to watch.

Arghhhhh

Senegal play telepathic football. They anticipate moves of teammates before the ball moves. But see how terrible their defense was today vs Congo. That Mane Equalizer, na only Lookman i can beat my chest and say he won't miss in such a tight space among SE players. If we meet Senegal, we'll trash that their backline but with how we drop tempo in 2nd half, thanks to terrible moves by Chelle, Senegal go score us wella.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by daveP(m): 11:08pm On Dec 27, 2025
Nwabali is the nain reason why we have to dump the perception that people gummed to Maduka going forward. Maduka, all things being equal, should be heading to WC if we get that ticket. Uzoho has no business being there even if he performs in this Afcon too

I dunno if he wears a veil once 2nd half begins. Check all his terrible moves that undo a lead or jeopardize stuff, same approach. One can't even see if he knows the mix and roles of his midfielders. Same on Nigerian leaders for not connecting these states with a Railway system to make inter state work and home away style a thing. Shame on them all!! See distances that are not even up to a breath of what is obtainable in India or china that have reliable train networks.

It's better to have two different types of CFs than two similar

Havertz, Jesus and Gyokeres is the best combination for options

Greed is the game changer here.

These guys don't think ahead. They are not ready to sleep and plan like say March 2026. Just daily reactions.

Dangote is doing okay for us as we are grateful we have no December queues. But it may lead to a monopoly one day. That's inevitable!!

Instead of these fools called marketers to plan and cut losses and begin to redirect money to retake control or even compete and make Dangote also regard them, they are on reaction mode. Clowns thinking they're businessmen and women. No acumen, intelligence or foresight.

Dangote has studied them and hacked the game and now they're all in a state of unrest till tomorrow.

I hope someone comes and also rivals Dangote because he has a game plan and these fuulish marketers should not be worthy of holding the nation to ransom with their myopic minds if this is how they do when competition finally arrives.
FamilyRe: Two Weeks To Her Wedding, Not A Single Friend Bought Her Aso Ebi! by daveP(m): 1:00pm On Dec 22, 2025
We should prepare for whatis coming in this Wedding Industry.

Many of these good enough to marry are weighing the costs of what is delaying them and wasting their time and doing away with it.

We are getting close to that pre-WW2 era where nobody cared about glam before tying the knots. Just a ring, agreement between families, signatures, a clergy, some music and little refreshments.

Simply put, the aso-ebi glam era is dying

All rhat requirement to show you know someone that know someone that is well to do in a zone no dey epp anybody again. Ladies don dey wake up. Men no care for these stuff since 25years ago.

Some aso-ebi is now 200k to 1m and above. Just to look glam but totally uncomfortable within those hours of celebration?? Some can't even move. Some can't wear the dress again because of the PTSD it gave them that day, while some can't because they just have this funny rule of never rocking it again after that day. Wasted!!

We might be back to the era where 500k is total budget for a wedding covering everything for bride and groom.

Watchout!!

Even the Rich are doing the same.

Tinubu's govt is here for nothing innovative and transformative than to milk 200m Nigerians without the hope of a glimpse of anything close to what "Renewed Hope" actually means in reality.

For whatever cause you his fanboys and girls have to believe in his ways, let him just disappear and his entire history and doings in office will fade faster than the deeds of many now forgotten State Governments since 1999.

The Nigerian population is nothing but tally figures to strike pennies from them without a chance to help them with

Better Education
Better Trade and Commerce
Better Transport
Reform in Health sector
Security solutions
Improvement in Standard of Living
Changes in Cost of Living
job creations

Its all about capturing State Governors to join before 2027.

O maa se o!!

It is hilarious sha. What a legacy!!!

If Havertz was available, our tactical approach would have been better because the coach would plan against teams having different options

As for the bolded, It will be difficult for me to believe that under Infantino.

Infantino brought FIFA Foundation, Foward Program, FIFA Talent development program, African Super League, Increased slots to 9 for Africa at the World, Easier requirements for Nationality switch. Infantino's presidency really benefited Middle East, Asia and Africa more than Europe where he comes from.

The rest I agree.
Naaah. Just look at the way the over 150 global sports influencers and accounts all over social media avoided posting anything about this Opening Ceremony or AFCON. It is deliberate. They know what they're trying to stiffle. IMO, if they do, it will get reactions that will prove my point despite many Nigerians still pissed at the WCQ incident that made them uninterested. Morocco some fantastic host too. I love what i am seeing.

This doesn't nean Fifa no help us too o but i maintain they no like us that much.
