komekn: If England can somehow keep it 1-0 until the 65th minute.
Then they should bring in more pace with Rushford and Saka because as Italy become desperate to score there will be space for fast players to take advantage and push Italy for a second goal.
As well as push the slower and ageing CB'S of Italy who wil struggle. The energy alone wont allow the Wingers space. These CBs are ageing but they know exactly their game. Harry Kane is strolling here. If they can get someone to pressure C&B, perhaps the game will tilt in their favor. For now, its all Italy with the unmatched grit. The foul on Saka is proof that C&B are scared of him. Extra Time. Italians have shown the Spirit and with flair. |

England is winning
Even etebo will do better than what Jorginho did in the first half
I hope the Italians will improve in the 2nd half Andrew, how you go watch this match type say Italy dey play nonsense na? Abi na England you wan type? Cos the English Midfield need their own Veratti right now. See how comfy they are in the defensive mode. This is a final. They get the Ball back and the Italians have it back before three touches. Lack of ball holding Midfielder. The Spirit too. Sincerely the English Defence have disappointed their GK. Its obvious. He's been shouting it all through. Smh. Etebo Sacarsm is your forte sha.... |

The Spirit of the Italians is way beyond any tactical superiority right now. These guys are damn playing like its the end of the world, and at the same time besting the English Midfield with pinpoint accurate passes and flair. I love what I'm seeing. Only they haven't gotten any solution to stopping Shaw for now.

Philosopher1979: Look there is one Andrew Randa who is the media officer of Nigeria's u20 and he seems to be marketing Nigerian players to them in Watford.
I have a slight suspicion Kelechi Nwakali could end up in Watford as Randa could market him. I think Randa marketed Emmanuel Dennis to them.
It's good anyway that we have a Nigerian who is influential enough to market Nigerian players to European clubs Randa!!! Wow. |

It's so bad that there are plans to terminate some player's contracts and allow them go for free. Anything is possible in business. But if he wins this Copa.... |

Koboko99: They can't even register Depay, Aguero and the new players until dey offload players and reduce the wage bill. Even Messi cannot sign a new contract until that is done so Barca are ready to sell almost all their fringe players to make this happen. Such a pity. They have to offload 200m in wages. Jodera: dey careful dey shake dat table were I dey abeg.
Not that I didn't think saka was not good enough to start tho, I just thought he's below the pecking order, especially since he's the last name (I think) to be called up to the tournament. I'm really happy for him wella and I hope he wins it along with his teammates.
Sha, I jejely carry my L both on saka not seeing automatic starts and Southgate proving me wrong in going far Pecking order o Bench o Spectator o All join, na synonyms sha. Well Its Honourable accepting L. Personally, i felt he would even start from LB. Foden still has a lot to learn and so does Sancho. Sterling himself is amazed at the kind of player Saka is(He plays with Foden and knows Foden well, but that look is proof) Just the same way everyone else in the Afcon 2014 team were big guns, but it was a quiet and New Sunday Mba that gave us that shot at Glory for Nigeria. (I wish his career was the best of that set though, but) I hope Arteta gives Saka enough rest this season coming, at least a month. We don't want stories that touch. That boy workrate needs adequate rest and personal physio attention.

No one imagined this treatment for our boy. Infact most believe he was going to be a benchwarmer. But its actually Sancho and Grealish that are doing that, and he's carrying goal threat well with runs behind defences. Bukayo Saka. Lesson: No be by name before tournament abeg. If you still choose to toe such line in consequent football tourneys then ya an ignoramus. Tactics will always tilt such analogy away. Sidenote: Why is Pep Guardiola whispering behind Saka?

dozai: Think there is need for FIFA to make changes on PK during games. This idea of the taker kicking the ball the 2nd time when Gk makes a save should be stopped in place it can only be another player, These days GK are just rooted on one spot on the line until the kick is taken. Even when they make a save, the same player will just roll it in. This needs some adjustment if I may say. My elder bro brought this up during the 2010 WC and it made sense to me ever since. Now you've brought it up here and i can't but agree its unfair to the GK who is already tied to his lucky of picking only one side and with all their zeal and breath in that. With his teammates rooted to outside the box again, the pk taker has more chance to change his fate which isnt fair to the Gk. Of course there are few good gks that recover to deny such a rebound like Kane's yesternight, but since its still IN GAME, the rule should tilt to fairness. The PK shoot outs own is okay for now. |
