Arsenal almost done with the deal of tavarez and lokonga. Both deals less than £60m pounds combined.

Dave P how true is this?
Yeah. Personal terms was ongoing yesterday. The fee is less, yeah. Both players also wanted this move badly too. No hitches!!

I am not saying he will be starting all games

Starting 2 games ahead of foden and sancho shows he is an important player in the England squad

But don’t be surprised to see him start against Ukraine again
Expected. Its like an answer to those that felt he wouldn't smell a starring shirt in this star studded side. Nothing is ever predictable in football. Nothing!!

We really did well against Brazil

We should have beaten Ukraine
That Ukraine equalizer still dey pain me. It was similar to the lack of concentration we had vs Argentina that made Rojo send Argies through to the next round. The Midfield and Attack gave good account of themselves though. Especially in that Brazil game.

Having a lead is no longer the problem i believe. Its protecting that lead with the spirit the Camerounians showed years back that we'll need. And that's where we need the camera to catch the Captain gingering his teammates to see the lead through.

Nah... I don't think the board will sell ESR even if it's 50m. If they try such eh...

Lol... As for the euros, we watched most of these players consistently, so we can't say because most of them failed to turn up it then means they're overhyped. Let's just say this euro2020 is made up for a less fancied side. After all, isn't that the beauty of football and why it brings much excitement? And we can say we underhype our own... After all I think our representatives are one of the lowest. That should tell us something.

Wishing my boy saka success today. He's one of the big reason I'm supporting England, while my underdog nation will be Switzerland.
Sha no lower yardstick for them. Cos for starters they have access to lots of things our own African boys about to play in Afcon don't have.

Overall, we can relax sha. And surely i do hope Southgate stays Up North.

African team still have the same problem at world level , we can't defend set piece especially a corner kick and we lose concentration in dying minutes , European teams tend to do better in that area
I talk this thing taya prior to 2018 world cup and afcon as well. But we still seem so disorganized in that aspect. These aspects are easy gamechangers despite the gulf in class between any two teams. But its still looking unattended to today.

Set pieces!!!

There are moments at previous WC that African teams were the better of the two teams on the pitch. Then they conceed a setpiece and we begin to hear the usual mediocrity Sermons.

But this time, i want to hope Africa will rep just well in Qatar. Especially West Africa.

We all know this but some just don't want to criticize the almighty NFF. Mexico also played matches like us but they are still using their foreign based guys.

This just shows how Nigerians feel about the local league. U are willing to destroy the competition for nothing. Tell me where it is okay for a league leading team to give out their best defender, midfielder and striker in the middle of the biggest run of the season? While the teams below them are basically intact.
Its a tight schedule truly. And its not fair truly. But i also know these clubs will relish the $ that come in if an North African Club, European team comes near the gate, talk more, knocking.

Honestly I feel the same way. Especially after finding out Mexico will use their foreign based players. If I were in charge of Akwa United I would not allow my players to honor that call up.
Its happened to Kano Pillars and Heartland in the past now. I don't see why this should have some meaning read to it. Afterall, these same players relish such opportunities for their careers, especially if they win.

I don't see the point. But i get that it will affect Akwa United.

That should also make them npfl clubs to step up. More invitations in coming years i believe...The new normal soon.
Politics › Re: How Nigeria ‘Accidentally’ Discovered 206trn Cubic Feet Gas Reserve – Sylva by daveP(m): 12:57pm On Jun 27, 2021
Gas should be a free commodity, if you also consider the quantity lost through gas flaring daily. But all i see are more gas stations popping up. Which means its the new profit biz in Nigeria. 400/kg. Imagine. 206tcf?

It should be #100/kg for all truth there is.

Every home should even be given some free kg/month. Even with this, more will still waste in flarings.

But....

Greed and myopic minds abound. The fact this was even accidentally stumbled on shows how our leaders think. Lack vision.
Christianity Etc › Re: What Did Paul Mean When He Referred To The "Lawless One" Also As "Man Of Sin"? by daveP(m): 12:32pm On Jun 27, 2021
awitness41:
From 2 Thessalonians 2 (NKJV):

2 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you,
2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come.
3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,
4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things?
6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time.
7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.
8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.
9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,
10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,
12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Questions:
1) If there is a lawless one, doesn't there have to be a Law ?
2) If the lawless one is also referred to as the man of sin, doesn't that mean sin equates with being lawless ?
3) Using Bible Scripture only, what is the definition of "sin"... and be exact please.

Thank you.
Let me take you back to Verse 7.

The Mystery of lawlessness is already at work.

Look around you, cant you see the grave and geometric increase of lawlessness and grave disregard for moral boundaries and basic laws across different nations. Paul used that during his time, how much more 2000+ yrs from then. So this Lawless Man is going to the Peak of these things.

It isn't a direct reference to The Law of Moses, cos i suspect you may be going down that lane. Its a general one with regards to puncturing of Moral boundaries. Thus he is naturally going to be a man of sin. He wont have such boundaries or edges. He is Full Revelation of sin when he comes.

What is stopping him, The Holy Spirit.

The Anti Christ is this man.

2) vs 10 shows he will use all unrighteous deception to gather a large following unlike never before. This is an image of that Old Serpent, The devil. The Devil is the origin of this man. We all know the identity of the devil(including the appearing as angel of light, thus the deception of even the very elect that dont stand well)

The fear is no intellectual height any man currently wields would be able to checkmate this deception (v9)

He isnt coming easy, he's coming prepared and with exactly what the minds of people desire and crave(support for success of his project of deception)

3. Scattered over all the Bible are enough references to define Sin. The book of Romans defines this very well. I think the fact that the origin of the Man of Perdition is from Devil should help with the definition!!

I hope its direct and simple as possible.

If you need a book that is well detailed about this Lawless one, i suggest Salem Kirban's What In The World Will Happen Next?

Happy Sunday
