One thing I wished I learnt earlier in life is living a PURPOSEFUL and STRUCTURED life.

The actionable steps I should have taken are what I am taking now, which are the following:
1. Setting daily goals.
2. Waking early everyday (6:am) and focusing first on the most important goal for each day.
3. Making sure my time is not wasted on frivolities; time is a limited resource.
4. Devoting my time to whatever I want;if I'm not able to attain it, I move on.
5. Getting good night rest( 7 hours of sleep)
6. Exercising at least three times a week.
7. Reading books to expand my knowledge.
8. Spending at least 1½ hr daily on tasks that will improve my knowledge and skills in my chosen career.
9. Making time to call and connect with close friends and family members (at least twice a week).
10. Making and trying my very best to stick to a monthly budget; this include setting money aside for savings and another sum of money for emergency.

Doing all those things I listed up there can be very demanding for me at times, but I have come to realize that if you don't plan your life well, your future will be full of regrets.

I knew intuitively that the whole set up was just too good to be true, and that was why I brought it to nairaland. Let's be careful with all these Ponzi schemes, and If u will do it, use money that u know u can afford to lose, and start very early. Immediately you notice that all the rules are been relaxed on any investment site is when u should be sure that they are about to fold up, and that is when u withdraw all ur Kobo.

Hello my fellow nairalanders. I was recently introduced to this site, called "river ranch". The site claimed to pay people dividends based on how much they invest with them. The whole step up looks scandalous and deceptive. On the site, you can buy different animals, depending on the size of your pocket. You can buy animals like sheep (which cost 8k), pig (13k), and the most expensive is cow, which is 60k. Where I started having lots of doubts is the amount of money you will be earning from buying the animals. Let's say you buy cow (remember that it is 60k), you will be making a gain of #2500 a day. That is 75000 a month. And the site claimed that you can earn such an amount for a year! That will be #900,000 a year! It sounds too good to be true, but the person that introduced me to the site is already making money from it. I am confused if I should do it (though my mind is telling me it is a scam). Please who has any idea about the site?

I have always pondered on the above question. How can we become more united? How can we progress and be better than we currently are? We have been at this battle since 1960. That is almost 62 years ago!
Nigeria has been having problems since independence, from coups to resources exploitation to tribalistic and religious bigotry and we shouldn't forget CORRUPTION! Our economy is not performing as a giant of Africa should. Our security is nothing to write home about. The citizens sprinkled religious and tribal sentiments on most of their discussions, especially on online forums and spaces. Our electricity and roads are nothing to write home about. We still practice jungle justice in the 21st century!
Our leaders are not the only problem, we the citizens are part of the problem too. We digest whatever our leaders tell us without doing any research. We should always be wary of whatever we are told because most of our leaders are mostly concerned with their narrow-minded agendas. We should be more empathetic towards our fellow citizens. Don't vote people because of party loyalty, vote because of what you believe the candidate can do when he gets to the position. Don't vote because of tribe, vote because of the personality and the achievements of your preferred candidate. We can make Nigeria a developed and civilized country starting from the grassroots. A revolution starts from the grassroots! A revolution doesn't need to be violent but it needs to involve changes in the mindset and attitude of the citizenry.
As citizens,we must love our country and we must demand accountability from our leaders. They owe that to us. We must demand improved economic status and improved security from our leaders. As a good leader, you need to be transparent towards your followers,you need to be accountable and you need to improve the economic status of your people. The election will soon be upon us,let's vote wisely.
I believe Nigeria can still become a developed country. All the required efforts mostly fall on us, the citizens. Our leaders also need to change their attitudes and shouldn't be going to the position of power with the intention of filling their pockets with government's fund. They should have the common man's interest at heart. They should watch and learn from developed countries around the world. We will get there when we all put in the required efforts.

Recently I came about a video on how to destroy your African accent and I was really surprised.For God sake why will you want to destroy your accent? To make people think you have travelled the world? To make yourself acceptable to whites and other black foreigners?To make your friends and acquaintances think you are exposed and "tuish"?To make people hold you in high esteem?...whatever your reasons are,they are not valid in my candid opinion simply because you were born an African.If you were actually born outside Africa then it will make sense if you have a foreign accent.
The reasons why I think and know you shouldn't change your African accent are:
1.You were born an African
You were born in Africa and not in any foreign land and you should be proud of your culture and the natural accent you inherited.
2.foreigners will belittle your country and culture:
If you think a foreign accent is better than your local accent then foreigners will think the same and not only that,they will belittle you and your culture because it is what you are doing already. It is just like when you always disrespect your elder sister/brother in front of your friends and you were expecting your friends to respect that your same elder brother or sister.Does that sound sane to you?
3.African accents are even sexy
According to a research I saw,it was discovered that some African accents are really sexy.Nigerian accent is one of the sexy accents in the world. So in case you don't know,that white chick or guy you are talking to may actually be attracted to you simply because of your African accent
4.Your African accent shows foreigners that you are proud of yourself,your culture and you are true to who you are.
5.Famous and Successful Africans:
If you look at most famous and successful Africans you rarely see them change their accent to suit foreigners' own.people like Nelson Mandela,Chinua Achebe, Wole Soyinka, Chinamanda,Fela Anikulapo.You will see that these people are really true to themselves and are proud of their accent and their culture.
On a final note,i will say you should be proud of your accent because it will show more light on your culture because people will always be curious to know about where you are from. Salom!!!

Hello guys I just came across this guy who called himself Dami Johnson on telegram with a channel called mega sure odds..he claims on his channel that he can give people odds of up to 650 for an amount of money and that his odds are sure...this sounds so ridiculous to me.. So please guys has anybody heard of this guy before and if so please enlighten us with your experience.. I think it is better for us to expose these scammers in order to stop them scamming Nigerians
