As far as I know, the problem of the FG is non-implementation of that ACJA law that gives for a day to day trial. Nigerians are always quick to pressure NASS to pass a law, but after the law is passed, we just go back to things as usual. Since the FOI bill was passed, how many journalists have been able to make use of that golden opportunity? We just celebrated it for a few days, and then interest died down! And same thing happened to the ACJA law passed in May 2015 - that'd have been the revolution against corruption, but what are we seeing? Zilch implementation! And who's to blame? Executive - not Judiciary! If the ministry of Justice keeps register of all corruption cases and judges are constantly reminded that the cases they're handling must not exceed 6 months before conclusion, the results would be superb! Saraki, FFK, Dansuki, Badeh's cases would have been a thing of the past by now.

So you mean that every politician ever acquitted by the court is because the person is innocent? Can you tell me how these judges sentence common criminals to jail terms of even 100+ years, but when it comes to trialing politicians and bigwigs they throw out the case "due to legal technicalities"? You mean people like Orji Kalu, Tinubu, Dansuki, Atiku, Saraki whose cases have either been thrown out of court or going in snail speed, would not have been convicted and sentenced to harsh terms if the trials were to take place in US or UK or South Korea or even Senegal, for example?
