Relationship could make you want to become a better person. When you love someone, you may think of leaving certain things to please them, to be with them. You may consider making some changes, making compromises and just trying to be with them even if it means giving up certain things. http://nigerianshood..com/2019/09/5-things-you-should-never-give-up.html |
In Nigeria, many people are only concerned with the beat and the style they can dance to a song. Many Nigerian singers do more of club songs and even those who claim to do love songs or songs about loving someone ends up doing it in such a way that the words get lost in the many dance steps or beats and tempo of the song. A love song is one that you sing to someone you love without worrying about the content of the song and if it has things that are not good enough to express your feelings. A lot of Nigerian singers stay clear of love songs for so many reasons and these are some of them; http://nigerianshood..com/2019/08/why-most-nigerian-musicians-don-sing.html |
There are many factors that come into play when determining if your relationship will last. Everyone enters into a partnership with the best intentions and the most solid of long-term plans. However, you won’t know how bitterly you failed until you walk out that door, never to return. Standing tall and strong. Here are 5 signs that your relationship is built to last. #1 You’re honest with each other. Honesty is undoubtedly the best policy to live by, if you want your relationship to last. Whether it takes the form of bickering, gentle reminders, or straightforward admonitions that you’ve put on weight, being honest is very important. If you regularly practice honesty, there’s a high chance that your relationship is built to last. #2 You’ve survived the unthinkable. If you’ve weathered storms together, there’s a good chance you’ll stick together in the long run. Whether your partner has survived a life-threatening illness, whether you’ve undergone multiple miscarriages, whether you’ve forgiven each other for infidelity, or whether you’ve moved around the world for each other, they all count. If your relationship can go through the toughest times imaginable and still emerge alive and thriving, it was built to last. #3 There are shared goals. It is important that both parties share the same life goals. For example, your relationship won’t last if he wants kids and you don’t. It also won’t last if you want to live like a nomad and she wants to settle down. At the very least, you have to be looking in the same direction in order for the relationship to work. If not, you may as well bid farewell now. #4 There’s teamwork. The whole point of entering into a partnership with someone is so that you have a team member to lean on. Whether it’s enjoying the finer things in life like taking a vacation together, or grunting through the pains of everyday life to ensure that the mortgage is paid on time, there should be teamwork if you want your relationship to last. #5 There’s unfailing loyalty. Loyalty, in every sense of the word, is super important in a relationship. It could be anything, from standing up for your partner when someone’s bad-mouthing them, to not getting some action on the side. No matter what, as long as you’re true and just to one another, your relationship will stand the test of time Source : http://nigerianshood..com/2019/07/5-strong-signs-your-relationship-is.html |

Relationship currently is a norm in our society. Everybody has the desire to be loved by that one special person. However, before getting into a relationship with someone, you may not be able to really tell if your partner is mature enough or not. Maturity really matters in a relationship. That is why I have curated these 4 signs to test your partner's maturity. 1. Lack of goal or dreams In the real sense of it, this might apply mostly to men but it's also a thing for the ladies too. A real mature mind should have goals of what to achieve in life, make plans and also work on their objectives. 2. Indecisiveness Everybody has that moment of dilemma about one or two things, but some people just get indecisive all the time. They find it difficult to decide on little things and can't trust their own instincts. At every turn they are always in need of other people's opinion. They have no mind of their own. 3. The rude, saucy and insultive gang Some people don't just know when to react or talk back. They don't make careful use of their words. They quickly react and dish out insults at the slightest provocation. 4. Emotional flirts These lots don't know how to take good care of emotions. They cry at every time and place like babies. These ones don't know how to keep their emotions in check and it's common with the girls. Source http://nigerianshood..com/2019/07/4-signs-your-partner-is-not-mature.html |

Stress is good if it motivates you but it's bad if it wears you down. Many factors can contribute to the stress you experience, and this stress can cause changes in your body that affect your overall physical, mental, and emotional health. Depression is more serious and long-lasting than stress, and requires a different kind of help. In a 2010 survey by the American College Health Association, 28% of college students reported feeling so depressed at some point they had trouble functioning, and 8% sought treatment for depression. The good news is that depression is a highly treatable condition. However, it's not something you can snap out of by yourself, so it's important to get help. How do you tell the difference between stress and depression? Both can affect you in similar ways, but there are key differences. Symptoms of depression can be much more intense. They last at least two weeks. Depression causes powerful mood changes, such as painful sadness and despair. You may feel exhausted and unable to act. Here are common signs of stress and depression. Which fits you best? Common Signs of Stress Trouble sleeping Feeling overwhelmed Problems with memory Problems concentrating Change in eating habits Feeling nervous or anxious Feeling angry, irritable or easily frustrated Feeling burned out from studying or schoolwork Feeling that you can't overcome difficulties in your life Trouble functioning in class or in your personal life Common Signs of Depression Withdrawing from other people Feeling sad and hopeless Lack of energy, enthusiasm and motivation Trouble making decisions Being restless, agitated and irritable Eating more or less than usual Sleeping more or less than usual Trouble concentrating Trouble with memory Feeling bad about yourself or feeling guilty Anger and rage Feeling that you can't overcome difficulties in your life Trouble functioning in your class or in your personal life Thoughts of suicide Source : http://nigerianshood..com/2019/03/difference-between-being-stressed-and.html |
Below is a narration from a Nigerian writer about how her friend resurrected from the dead after she prayed to God to restore her back to life. According to the writer, Eketi Edima Ekett, she was led by the Holy Spirit to say the prayer before the friend was taking to the morgue. While some may consider the faceless communication we do on the internet a plus, a few others have found a way to create an unhealthy nuisance out of the situation. There's been a lot of cases of people leaving the internet because of the offensive messages they get. Here are four types of internet folk you don't want to run into online: 1. The trolls The sole of purpose of these people is to annoy you. And the more you pay attention to them, the more they frustrate you. They leave digressive and off-topic posts on your wall just to upset you. The best thing you can do to fight an internet troll is to not answer them. You can also report or block them, else they'd drive you insane. 2. The grammar Nazis This is a group of walking dictionaries strolling round the net and looking for simple grammar mistakes to correct. They are not really interested in the message you are trying to pass; all they want to do is show themselves by correcting you. Even under very sensitive posts, the grammar Nazis do not relent. 3. The Angry Birds Everything offends these people . Even something as simple as a birthday post for a loved one. They will scour through the post and find one thing to pick at and barrage you for. There is no need trying to please these ones. Even your persistent attempt to be nice to them angers them the more. 4. The reporters Unlike the angry birds that'd even bother to let you know they'd found your post offensive, this group do not have that time. The only thing that'd appease them is for your post to disappear. They are very familiar with the report buttons of all the social media platforms and it doesn't take them much to get you banned! Why would anyone choose to stay -- a question we often ask. Here are four reasons I'm aware of: 1. Stockholm Syndrome This is the propensity of people to identify with their abusers and find and focus on the "good" things about them. They will do whatever they can to protect them from being ever "misunderstood." This is the situation where a woman with the black eye still says, "no, it's not that bad! He can be sweet and gentle too... you just don't understand him like I do." Read more :http://nigerianshood..com |
Falz the Bahd Guy has kicked off 2019 with the release of his 4th studio album, titled ‘Moral Instruction’ and this is arguably his best body of work yet, as it is thematic and wholesome with respect to the messages disseminated through the album. It’s been only two weeks into the year, and two very conscious rap projects have been released by Nigerian rappers, the other being the album by show dem camp titled ‘clone wars IV – These Buhari Times ‘ . We love this energy, and it would be great to see our musicians in general, not just rappers, continuously put out projects or singles that speak on relevant issues affecting us a society. By just looking at the moral instruction album cover, you would most likely have a feeling of nostalgia, if you were exposed to Fela’s cover arts back in the day. The album art was designed by the art legend Lemi Ghariokwu , who was known for working on the late Fela anikulapo’s album arts for his projects back in the day. Are you ready for some moral instruction? Let’s walk you through the album, track by track. 1. Johnny – The opening track johnny, starts off with sampled vocals off Fela’s ‘Johhny just Drop’ singing “ J.J.D J.J.D Johnny just drop” which leads to a mean beat drop with bells, light kicks and snares. This would have your head bopping to the rhythm, while setting the perfect underlay for Falz’s vocals to come in. Falz does not disappoint as he hops right in, setting a captivating story line in motion, with the opening lines “Johhny just drop, na person shoot am down”, which should drive any curious listener to keep listening. The track speaks out against the indiscriminate shooting of civilians by the police, while telling the story of a recent graduate who just finished his national youth service, but got killed by the police on a night of celebration. The last few bars of the track has falz agitated as he lashes out, citing other scenarios where johnny (at this point he uses johnny in a ‘Jon doe’ manner) might be killed, in other different locations around the country, due to negligence and other factors. He ends the track asking these pertinent questions in Yoruba “if johnny continue to drop, eyan melo lo ma ku? Eyan melo lo ma ku?” which is a little play on words in yoruba and translates to “if johnny’s continue to drop, how many people would die? How many people would be left? I was heavily pregnant and leading a presentation about Desktop Publishing in 1988 at a huge trade show in Chicago's McCormick Place as part of my job doing outbound sales of Macintosh computer systems for an Apple dealer. A middle-aged gentleman saw me and asked for my card after the presentation. He said he'd call me. A few weeks after the baby was born he called and invited me to interview for a job to develop a professional DTP curriculum for a large public college. He was the department head of a printing and graphic arts program that had just built a brand new computer lab. Read more :http://nigerianshood..com |
Awful things has been going on lately and it's really bad that we are the cause of those awful things. I've been thinking about these things for a while now so I was with a couple of friends a couple of days ago and they talked about it. I said said they cause I really didn't say much. But I'm glad they can actually relate to it. Ever since Victor Ad sang "wetin we gain" the rate of killings and rituals are becoming too much.. Some were saying the song contributed to the killings but actually people just misinterpreted the lyrics in the music. Wetin we gain if we no get money?? That doesn't mean you have to sacrifice your fellow human beings People are going to certain lengths to have this money. Honestly I find these funny when I heard female panties are now been used for rituals and I posted some jokes about it and I have to scold myself because it isn't right. Truly you might have the money after the ritual, you might actually buy the Benz but do you know there's this thing called karma??karma is a bitch, It will come knocking at your door when you least expected it. It will Bleep you so hard and won't let you cum. You might be enjoying for now but not everything last forever. This generation is already bleeped, we have no respect towards the society values, we don't really have any morals left in us and if we really continue this way I'm absolutely sure the next generation will be way worst cause we are going to impact no good in them. Maybe you can actually agree with me that social media is the main cause of the high rate in killings and rituals... I do say it, not everything on social media is right, not everything is real.. 92%of stuffs on social media is fake.. You go to such lengths sacrificing your fellow human just because you see pictures of your mates, your classmates or of some folks you are older than in benzs, venza, or in an eatry and you feel like you are losing..those people you see on social media with the latest wears or cars, most of them are not even richer than you, everything na scam!!. Even if they are actually doing good than you are, there's time for everything.. Don't emulate everything on social media. Its really funny how everyone is trying to look more richer than their friends, please the Hustle is against poverty not to compete with your friends. I should really stop now, most of you folks are even lazy to read it, or maybe you are probably tired of reading these long notes. But theses thought just keep popping into my heads and lemme say this fakeness is the latest stupid trend. It's like people are even scared to be real, like people are scared of who they are.. virgins are not proud to be virgins no more, they are scared to be judged because of it, they rather make you believe they are some kind of bitch.. I know a lot of girls who say stuff and also post stuff about dick and sex they haven't even see in reality or maybe experienced just because everyone loves fake, even niggas wey never drink trophy dey claim weed smoker. These fake lives you live may earn you much friends and much admirers but it won't last long, why? Because they are all fake |
Having a healthy sex life is an important part of being in a happy relationship. But when you start losing that spark, it can actually end up ruining other areas as well. A lot of things can negatively affect the physical connection between you and your partner. But it’s not always about lingerie and intimacy gadgets. There are some other subtle dangers that couples tend to miss. So you should definitely look out for these sneaky things that can ruin your sex life as a couple. 1. Inadequate sleep Being sleep-deprived negatively affects many areas of your life, and that includes sex. When you don’t get enough sleep your levels of testosterone -the sex drive hormone – becomes lower. And this is true for both men and women. 2. Gaining Weight Gaining a lot of weight can affect your sex life in two ways. One, you may start to feel more self-conscious and insecure which makes you want sex less. Also, the health conditions associated with weight gain can interfere with your sex life. 3. Fatigue If you constantly overwork yourself, whether through exercising or day-to-day hassles, it can take its toll on your sex drive. Getting it on at the end of the day becomes the last thing on your mind. 4. Gadgets This stuff can ruin your sex life and you won’t realize it. If at the end of the day, you and your partner are on your respective phones and tablets, then you sure aren’t setting the right mood for sex. Days turn into months and you become so engrossed in what’s in your phone that you forget the partner lying right beside you. 5. Unresolved conflict When you’re holding on to anger from weeks ago, you are putting a barrier between you and your partner. This type of resentment may be slow-growing but it’s still there. And it will be difficult to be intimate with someone you’re not happy with. 6. Stress When you have a lot on your mind, it’s hard to get in the mood. Your body is in stress-mode all day every day and your sex life can take a hit. Source :http://nigerianshood..com/2019/01/6-little-things-that-can-ruin-your-sex.html |
Falling under anointing is definitely a form of self-induced hysteria akin to what staunch music lovers experience when their favorite music band comes on stage. The state of mind is further intensified by peer behavior (everyone clapping or shouting) and the general excitement of the event, leading to uncontrolled emotional excitation. You are raised to believe that this is what is going to happen and you get really excited to go through the experience. Not to mention that it is often hyped up by the people in your family and social circle, only adding to the excitement and anticipation. Once you are on stage, there are often many other people going through the same thing. In some cases, they have built the experience up in their minds so much that they have a very clear picture of what is supposed to happen, so that when it comes to their turn, they simply play along whether or not they actually feel anything or not. Compliance is further enhanced through the thought of not just wanting to be the only one left standing. Historically, hysteria has been more associated with women and manifest with a variety of symptoms, including: anxiety, shortness of breath, fainting, insomnia, irritability, nervousness, as well as sexually forward behavior. In extreme cases, hyperventilation and other physiological factors can contribute to a state of light-headedness, even to the point of fainting. These symptoms often mimic symptoms of other more definable diseases and create a case for arguing against the validity of hysteria as an actual disease. Though presently, hysteria is no longer thought of as a real mental illness. Sometimes too, falling is also clearly forced by the pastor; where he deliberately pushes people down. source:http://nigerianshood..com |
There’s something that we experience with political leaders. They often talk about great plans but their talk is not often followed with action. It is very common to hear a Minister state loud and clear on television that all pregnant women would access free healthcare until after two years of their delivery. It’s even easier to hear a governor state that unemployed youth in his state would get seed funds to start a business of their choice during his tenure. Fast forward to three years after, and a little investigation would show that not one of the promises these leaders made were kept. Some people admit that it is normal for political leaders in Africa to talk and not act, simply because they take their people for granted. However, it could be that what they lack is strategy. Sadly, this does not apply to politicians alone but it also affects businesses. Many business owners or even aspiring entrepreneurs do not have a hard time thinking through their goals and targets. Hence, it becomes easy to have a goal to sell your products across Africa. However, the big question often is, what is your strategy to achieve this? There is a brilliant business idea in the pipeline but no plans to drive it. No short-term plans or long-term road-map. No articulation of possible challenges and mitigating measures. These are the issues strategic business plans bring to the fore and help entrepreneurs to minimize risks whilst maximizing profit. What is Strategy? According to Johnson and Scholes, (2006) “Strategy is the direction and scope of an organisation over the long-term: which achieves an advantage for the organisation through its configuration of resources within a challenging environment, to meet the needs of markets and to fulfill stakeholder expectations”. To break it down, strategy is the proposed mechanism or processes a business puts in place to achieve set goals within a set period of time, and within available resources to the benefit of the business while serving the purpose it was established for. When planning a business, an entrepreneur often has many ideas struggling for his or her attention. Sometimes entrepreneurs becomes swamped with the many things to be done that they begin to feel like the business idea has become an unattainable goal. Often times, some business owners drift into self-doubt – believing that they definitely cannot do it alone. The clogs in the way of your business drive, the highs and lows and the bottom line truth of whether one can achieve a business plan or not, lies in the strategic planning process. Therefore, it is never enough to just have a plan, it is important to have a strategic one. We will explore reasons for having a strategic plan and how to develop one. Here are our top three reasons why your business plan should be strategic: 1. To ensure adequate implementation A business is born when an idea is set in motion. With a strategic business plan, you can begin to identify what is necessary and what is not, what should take priority and the idea element that can wait. A business owner should design a clear road-map that leads to a final destination – whether it is to produce a new product or launch a service. A strategic business plan gives a clear picture of where a business is headed and how to get there. With a strategic business plan, an entrepreneur can identify possible challenges and plan a way to address them before they spring up. Strategic planning is simply doing some research as well as having a guide through the process of developing and launching a business. As John Kennedy, a former American President puts it, “effort and courage are not enough without purpose and direction.” Think of your strategic business plan as the direction your business needs and the efforts will pay off. 2. To avoid wasting time and resources Without a doubt, a strategically planned business would definitely help to avoid the waste of time and resources. This is because the entrepreneur would be able to see what is relevant at every step of the business process; in order to set priorities and a timeline for implementation. A strategic business plan would help identify those grey areas that may seem promising, but not profitable at certain times. As Johnson and Scholes said, ‘strategic plan achieves an advantage for the organisation through its configuration of resources.’ Through it, a business can use what resources are available to get what it needs to move the business forward. For instance, with a strategic plan, borrowing can be avoided and resources maximized to avoid running into debt. When a business plans strategically, it maximises profit. This is simply because a strategic plan provides the opportunity to do a risk assessment and plan mitigating factors, thus reducing waste. 3. To measure growth A business can always refer to a strategic plan to measure implementation of projects, to see how close it is to achieving set goals. If the plan says to manufacture a new product to be introduced to three markets within three months, the business owner can conduct an assessment after three months to ascertain if this was achieved or not; as well as identify the challenges and risks associated with this set back or milestone. However, if a plan is not strategic, progress cannot be measured and this can lead to waste of time and resources. Always note that the best way to avoid waste is to measure performance from time to time. That way, a business can keep track of success and where it needs improvement. Hip-hop died when beats became more important than lyrics These days it’s just a beat and cheesy hook 95% of rappers sound the same; I don’t want to hear it Studied the greats so I won’t become a slave in Nas’s rhyme book Rappers talking about guns they’re too small to lift Bragging about diamonds and the size of their chain Yet some fans have the nerve to say Eminem and Nas should call it quits At least they write to bring change Half these new kids probably need Immortal technique, Lupe fiasco and Kendrick Lamar to dumb it down In the mainstream all they hear is sex, drugs and lyrics that make no sense All the good hip-hop is underground In the mainstream its guys rapping about what they don’t represent We need someone like Tupac who did song writing to believe Wasn’t scared to stand up to anyone fighting his beliefs N.W.A had a genuine reason for not liking the police A few old school west coast rappers tried getting Bloods and Crips reuniting for peace We don’t get a thing from rappers today They don’t understand the importance of KRS one, Public Enemy, Rakim, Big Pun or Jam Master Jay Dear god you can have Gucci Mane, Lil Wayne, and soulja boy if you bring Tupac back to life Sick of some hip-hop fans still bringing up the fact Eminem’s white I remember when Nas destroyed Jay-Z with ether But these days every song on an album is a feature It’s getting worse, it’s too poppy and auto tune sadly came I’d rather listen to LL cool J, Ice Cube,J-cole, Kurupt, Big daddy Kane Pitbull gets played on the radio every 5 minutes All his songs are cheesy and sound the same Jadakiss hasn’t got the respect he deserve since he arrived in it Biggie said the sky’s the limit but first we need the ground to change Crooked I is the king of the west Joe budden is the most under-rated he gets everything off his chest He’d rather inspire people than make radio hits that bring a bigger cheque She has no talent, so to sell records Nicki Minaj has to strip to her g-string and a vest 14 years in and still credible yet fabulous hasn’t got the respect he deserves Lyrically above most and kills every verse Yet Iggy Azelia is everywhere despite the fact she ahs ghost-writers The last thing hip-hop needs is another Flo rida<p> I’ve always been an outcast maybe that’s why I listen to Big Boi and Andre Since he got with Kim, we just haven’t had good music from Kanye At least Eminem came in and said I’ll be like me not like you How can any west-coast rapper not have respect for Ice-T & Ice Cube Too many new rappers claim to be the greatest when they’re not even close to the best They can’t compare to Nas, Eminem, Tupac, Biggie, Big L, Big Pun or Dmx I could have named a lot more but I’d be here all day so apologies to anyone I missed off Source :http://nigerianshood..com/2018/09/editorial-my-opinion-on-hip-hop-and-rap.html?m=1 |
Relationships are not always rosy. There are times when simple conversations could lead to disagreements that threaten the foundation of the relationship. While it is quite known that men and women psychology are different, there are times when the communication is misplaced and reactions are unanticipated. There are many beliefs that are held by women and can be damaging to the relationship. Why? Because beliefs go a long way in influencing the decisions that we make and our reactions. Here are some beliefs that might be erroneous: Silent Treatment Women love to give men the silent treatment to show their displeasure but when he does same, we feel hurt. The truth is, more often than not, his quietness means he needs to make big decisions. Sex This does not mean that there are commitment phobic men who just want the sex. You have probably fallen into their hands and that is why you think that all men are scared of commitment. Yet, you know men who are making their women happy. There are good men who are looking to commit and hope to live happily ever after. You just might be in the wrong circle. Conversations A man has needs so does a woman. Women, naturally like to talk about everything including the annoying lady who wore the same shirt as hers at work on the same day. Because he loves her, he listens intently and asks questions. Due to this, it is easy to assume that he loves to listen and not talk. However, he might be yearning to talk about how his team won a match. So get him involved in the conversation, ask questions about their favourite sport, their project and watch him talk animatedly. I'm tired of feeling this way I'm tired of been tired Lately I'm always stressed out, confused and lost Lost in these overcrowded and tangled feelings I'm tired of it Makes me feel like my life's a great big ball of shit Maybe, just maybe it really is Maybe I should just put those feelings into all i spit Instead of wallowing in it Sometimes I feel like I don't know me What's my purpose?? 1 often ask myself questions Like dude, where's your focus at?? What you got passion for ¿? Who do you love or hate most?? So I laugh when you people act like you know me You only know the person, you don't know the personality Families said i need help Friends said i need care I'm sorry but no doc can save me I'm tired of these unending feelings I'm tired of me I'm tired of you I'm tired of you always having to criticize everything I wrote out I'm havin the feeling you're already Criticizing this without knowing how it's gonna end You said i wrote and post shits trying to be funny Truth is, you are right, I'm tired of it I'm tired of trying to be funny and hilarious when deep down I'm boring and aggressive I'm tired of trying to be who I'm not But do i even know who I am?? Sometimes I feel like i talk alot No, not with you but with the other me The other me in my head You waving at me up front, tried raising a conversation with me, but I never put no effort on trying to be friendly You call it pride, i call it self respect This ain't no rhymes This ain't no lines This ain't no collection of my rants Call it whatever it is you like You said I'm offensive, I say rash things without thinking Told you to come over, so we can have a sleep over, but you came with two of your friends, ooh wait, we going camping?? Now you got me thinking, you know what I think? I think you are stupid, I think you are foolish You have the mother4king gut to say I'm offensive, when you were the one who played with my feelings Oh shit, you're right, I'm offensive!! I appreciate those who said they love my lines But I'm not a writer, I'm not a poet I'm just a psychic who scribble words with the pen Said i should enter the studio and rap But I'm not a rapper, tho I love rap Tried it once, be sounding like a person who refused to take a nap, after working overnight I gat to drop this pen I shouldn't bore you to death But have you ever been so down that you think you will have a mental illness??have you ever been hated and discriminated against?? Have you ever have your friends screaming you worthless to your face?? You ever been accused of stealing 90 thousand cash?? I'm i the only one that has been dealt with this shit?? You following or am I just talking to myself You feelin what I'm saying?? All I should just detached myself, from you mother4kers who act you know me more than myself I gotta be my own brother and love myself, or else I lost myself in these complicated feelings I don't know how to end this but I didn't write this for you only But for you and myself!!! |

And actually we don't even know what God's like... Maybe he is black or white... But me as a black man believed he created me in his own image |
