First, you must be born again in Jesus Christ. Moreover, for a person that is truly born again according to the grace and the power of God's Holy Spirit through Jesus, his/her SALVATION is actually in Four (4) phases By Faith. Good morning. This is not our normal venue, but when you follow Jesus Christ then you follow Him where He takes you like the psalmist said:"Even though I go through the valley of death, Thou art with me." Dear friends, I am glad to be back to be able to share again this morning what the Lord is laid on my heart.

I want to talk about what Jesus gave me to talk about this morning, and what is about Spiritual Warfare versus Religious Warfare. They are two different things.

The true followers of Jesus Christ are involved in spiritual warfare like the Apostle Paul said:"for our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world force's of this darkness, against spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." Ephesians 6:2. So the true fight is a spiritual one, but most believers are not busy with a spiritual fight, they are busy with a religious fight.

If we follow Jesus Christ we will be in this spiritual fight for the kingdom of God, but religious people involve themselves in a different struggle. Religious people are into religious warfare, they fight each other, they fight other believers. They are always fighting.
They are fighting to prove their own salvation, they are in debates and arguments. They are not in the Spirit. They are in the flesh and they fight from their carnal minds, they are not being led by the Spirit of God. They are talking about earthly things, earthly matters, not about that of the Spirit, because they are not spiritual.
They are carnal people. Religious people are about their church, and about building their church, preserving their own doctrines, proving their own theories, from the Bible. They are in the defensive, they always are defending themselves trying to justify themselves. Religious people are building their church stealing sheep from one another. They go over land and sea to make proselytes, to build their little religious kingdoms, and then they start religious wars wherever they go. They steal each other's sheep. On top of that, religious people are sinners. They are not saints, they are not followers of Jesus Christ.
They are defending their faith, and that is why you cannot talk to these people about Jesus.
If you do not belong to a church or to a denomination, and if they do not know how to tackle you from which angle to tackle you then they do not know how to handle you and they reject you, they hate you if you are a disciple of Jesus Christ.
A disciple of Jesus Christ is in a different struggle. Our struggle is against evil forces, principalities; our struggle is against sin, against the wiles of the devil. Our struggle is with our own flesh, and we have to overcome by submitting ourselves to the Holy Spirit. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal. It is not about the intellectual, about trying to fight the devil with Bible verses. No, we fight and overcome the devil because we are led by the Spirit of God. Our weapons of warfare are from within, the Spirit that dwells in us, and therefore we can overcome, because we are not driven by our own mind and by passions and by our own beliefs. We're led by the Spirit of God and we're building the kingdom of God. We have nothing to defend. We are here to witness for Jesus. We are here to sow seed, we are here to make disciples, to bring people to Jesus, so that they can follow Him and know Him.
Religious people do not understand that, because they are busy with religion. They're busy with religious warfare. We should not involve ourselves with religious warfare. We must follow Jesus Christ and be led by the Spirit of God, overcome sin, overcome the flesh, overcome the world, because we're not seeking to do our own will, but to do the will of God. We are seeking to please Jesus Christ. The only way that we can overcome is if we submit to Jesus, and if we do His will. The only way thatwe can bear fruit is if we are grafted into the vine and we receive our inspiration, our guidance from the Holy Spirit, because then we are fighting in the Spirit and not on our own flesh. We are not fighting from our own mind but we are following the Master and He leads us to victory, wherever we go.
Even though the world might think that we are losers, if we follow Jesus we can never go wrong, because He will not let our feet slip. He will keep us, He will guide us. He will teach us His ways. We have to stay in the race. We have to follow Jesus Christ, stay close to Him and then we will overcome. The only way to overcome the spiritual warfare is through our submission to Jesus Christ, our close relationship with Him and our obedience to Him, because without Jesus we can do nothing.

Jesus was always particular about the eye of the needle: the narrow way that leads to Eternal Life. Unlike Jesus, many churches or pastors of today are always particular about making their own self-customized needle's eyes as wide as possible to contain with huge numbers of people.

Jesus didn't live for Money or the Honour of men like them: he was always concerned about doing the will of the Father, even if it meant rejection, ridicule, hatred, dishonour from Men, and EVEN DEATH.

The message of the New Testament is not just about Grace, Forgiveness and Blessings; but majorly about the CROSS. This is where people usually stop and FALL AWAY, because we think we or our churches or pastors know much better than God himself, perhaps.

I have a young friend of mine who has been masturbating since he was eleven years old and he is going to be twenty this year. His parents are divorced and he does not live with any of them, we where talking today and he confided in me that he's been masturbating since he was eleven and that he has been struggling to stop out of guilt but he eventually stopped trying ever since he saw that it was almost impossible so he continued, but I tried to encourage him to stop because have been there I started when I was in the university and struggled till 2018 when I eventually got more control. I realized that while I was still a chronic masturbator that I had almost no drive to succeed in anything which affected me a lot because I kept to my self, had no friends, felt guilty, weak and empty but my friend argued that he won't even bother trying because it was just impossible and doctors say it's healthy to masturbate, I argued that those doctors were lying and that it is not Scripturally okay but he also argued that were in the bible is it written? and I couldn't argued more cause I also relapse at times.
So please that is why have come here to ask for the advice on how to encourage him to keep on fighting against addiction and what bible verses can I quote for him?

The only way to overcome sexual sins and other sins is to be surrendered to Jesus.

The first thing is to be sorry for all Sins, and Repent of them all. Having repented of sins, the other important major thing is to fear God in obedience to Him, and then always FLEE temptations as the Bible says.

If we are humble and serious, God will give us "Grace to Overcome". BUT we've got to DO the FLEEING: it's a command, God won't do that for us.

FLEE! It means RUN as fast as possible.

How would you RUN if you mistakely come across a loosed "tiger" on the street?

Having repented, one major way is to fear God and always flee temptations... If we are humble: God will give us grace to overcome, AND we've got to DO the 'Fleeing'; it's a command, God won't do that for us.

FLEE! How would a person being chased by a tiger run? We've got to be serious to overcome addictions by God's grace, so as not continue in circles of sins.

You sound like someone who is not far from God's kingdom. If we are merely disturbed by guilty conscience and now looking for means to ease our consciences, then it's all useless. Repentance means confess your sins (to God, not necessarily to men), and TURN AWAY from them. Not the modern church type of flimsy repentance: repenting, but not willing to seek to live holy and do God's will for the rest of one's life.
No remorse, no desire to live holy and do God's will: then no repentance, but an empty religion.

If Jesus' prophecy about his second coming failed, I don't see why yours will be true

Oh, you misunderstood Jesus. He meant the out pouring of the Holy Spirit after His death and resurrection which did happen: as it's recorded in the book of Acts. If you want His prophecies about the end times then you may focus on Matthew chapter 24 and Luke chapter 21; and the book of Revelation.

As much as I wouldn't like to argue about this because what actually matters is to be always Ready, I strongly believe the elect/born again believers will go through the great tribulation. Jesus talking to his disciples, made it clear in Matthew chapter 24 and Luke chapter 21(Please read the whole passage at once). Also in Revelation 7:13-14, you can start from vs 9 or earlier. Let's not forget that what actually matters is Not head knowledge BUT to always be Ready.

As much as we are commanded Not to judge others, it is commanded to Judge righteous judgement as well. However, it's important to get the right balancing act here through God's wisdom: to Judge Not and then Judge Righteously. There are some self-proclaimed talkers, preachers making the rounds on the Internet these days, mouthing off about exposing fake pastors, prophets, churches, but unfortunately, they themselves seem to be in much greater deception and worse spiritual conditions. One cannot just get up someday and just take on the ministry of exposing others in order to impress people or try to get attention: that will lead to a more serious judgement to anyone who does that.

No matter how we try to justify, explain or sugar coat it, the attitude of grumbling, murmuring and complaining is a Sin; therefore, not appropriate for a disciple: follower of Jesus. While it's rather common to hear people grumble about many things like the government, neighbours, situations or problems, and many other subjects, it's important to have faith; constantly seek for grace to keep to Jesus Words by Not indulging in such so as not be destroyed by the destroyer.

We should not turn away from the way of eternal life for perishable things like Money or the Lust for the things of the world like many "great" Pastors/Prophets of the Churches of this World are following today. Many perhaps started quite well, while many others have been Wolves in Sheep's clothing right from the start. Let everyman be a liar, and God be true (Romans 3:3). If we willingly, consciously continue to follow Pastors who are not examples of Jesus/Paul (Philip. 3:17), but those taking after the examples of Gehazi and Demas, then we shall no doubt end up in the ditch (hell) with them: as blind followers of the blind. It's time to do a sharp Cut of the umbilical cord connecting or binding us with these churches of Demas(es) and Gehazi(es): Babylonian churches, not the true Jerusalem of Jesus.

Hmm. There are sins against God; there are sins against men (always against God at the same time: all Sins are against God). Sins against God can't be pronounced forgiven by men, I think some Priests/Rev. Fathers are deceived and always guilty of this.

What We All Need: Believers/Unbelievers is the light of Jesus. Many Believers, particularly in most churches are worse off! Simply because they're in false reality, so there seems to be much greater hope for unbelievers: even chronic ones, to be saved than them, who are double candidates of hell. Therefore, it's going to be more difficult for many believers to be saved. As Jesus said the last will become first, and the first, last. Jesus told sinners to Repent, as well as the Churches (in the book of revelation).

If your Pastor, Church or Religion is not leading people to true repentance of Sins in Christ, then it's time to avoid it/them like the plague; actually, they would be worse than the plague because the plague can't send you to hell but sins certainly will. We must be wise so as not be victims of those men or things that make people double candidates of hell.

The bible refers to these signs or troubles as the marks that the End is nearer than ever before; as 'the beginning of birth pangs or pains': as just before a woman gives birth. Although, it is good to ask God for his protection and all; however, it would be the height of ignorance, unbelief and waste of time to start praying or hoping that these terrible turmoils won't happen. In fact, worse things along with the great tribulation are still to come (Matthew 24).
It's really more important now to seek God's mercy before our time runs out. His coming back will be mainly for judgement, to reward each and everyone according to their works: good or bad. It's not about more and more religious or church programmes that doesn't lead to repentance: no remorse for sin, no repentance and forgiveness. Many churches of today only lead to a false or imagined repentance: asking for forgiveness of sins many times without wanting to stop sinning altogether by choice and the power of the Holy Spirit.

The fact is they are very very few in the world, you will be surprised that almost or even all these popular, rich or big church pastors or founders are not like that. Cos they are not Christlike in the areas of money, popularity, politics and many other areas in their lifestyle. If you do not find a leader who is a good example of Jesus or his apostles, please stay way (Philip. 3:17-19): read the Bible, Obey and pray; seeking God for his Holy Spirit. And God will guide you to join a church if he so will.

The Bible says God will allow us to believe what is False: A Lie, when we do not Love the Truth about ourselves: personally or privately. (2 Thessalonians 2:10-11)

When we do not believe and obey the words of Jesus according to the book of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John in the Bible, then ultimately, we get stuck and lost with Churches or Men. Many believers in and out of churches: especially in churches, have been conditioned to believe a Lie or Many lies. For instance, many are thousands of miles away from being Born Again, yet they strongly believe they are. What a Lie! God has certainly allowed that because that's what they love and want. They've got lots of religious leaders, men and women: Pastors/Prophets of which they adore with self-customised 'jesus(es)', and religious whitewash in appearance, but nothing about the Cross and the life of the real Jesus. (Philip. 3:17-19)

They are more comfortable with their church or pastor's type of jesus: that tolerates Sins and worldliness of every kind.

Money, the lusts in the flesh, the world or people, the devil and other things are all deceiving us; it is really terrible to have God, who is supposed to be on our side deceive us too.

May Jesus give us light as will humble ourselves, love the truth and seek to Obey Him, no more bound by the endtime glorified 'men of god'.
