Mark 7:7 KJV Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. |
1 Timothy 6:5-6 NLT 5 These people always cause trouble. Their minds are CORRUPT, and they have TURNED their backs on the TRUTH. To them, a show of GODLINESS is just a way to become WEALTHY. [6] But GODLINESS with contentment is great GAIN. KJV 2 Thessalonians 3:6 KJV Now we COMMAND you, brethren, in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye WITHDRAW yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and NOT after the tradition which he received of US. Mark 7:7 KJV Howbeit in VAIN do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments OF MEN. May Jesus Bless You. |
garetz:Hmm, maybe the person above is as well, who knows? Only God knows. We can easily fool ourselves, especially publicly to impress. May Jesus Bless You. |
I really hope so... But alas, there doesn't seem to be any convincing good Fruit to back up the claims of many of these celebrities coming up with great challenging sights sometimes about getting converted or born gain. God knows all... There were rappers I had as favorites back in secondary school days. I would memorize some of their lines and sayings to impress friends. I hope we all just don't get stuck with the church religious whitewash that's capable of keeping us in False Light/Reality in disguise. Matthew 6:23-24 KJV But if thine EYE be evil, thy whole body shall be FULL of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how GREAT is that darkness! [24] NO man can serve TWO masters: for either he will HATE one, and LOVE the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye CANNOT serve God and mammon. May Jesus Bless You. |
Hebrews 11:6 KJV But without faith it is impossible to please him : for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Romans 11:20 KJV Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: |
princeEfi:The chances are that he NEVER did meet Him in the first place, but perhaps he just had some sort of self or church whitewash type of religion. I hope he repents real soon. 6 and who then turn away from God. It is impossible to bring such people back to repentance; by rejecting the Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and holding him up to public shame. Hebrews 6:6 Hebrews 10:26-28 KJV For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, [27] But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. [28] He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: ... May Jesus Bless You. |
John 12:24 KJV Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. John 15:5 KJV I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. |
Philippians 3:17-20 KJV Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. [18] (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: [19] Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) [20] For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: |

It is extremely difficult to find a Christ-centered local church (gathering/fellowship) these days. It is so because of the pattern of the contemporary or common church system. This is a system where the religious organization is run: structured and managed like a Business Organization in the world. The CEO or founder and his subordinates recruit workers, plant centres/churches and manage branches all over... Frankly, the apostles of Jesus of old (Paul and the likes) didn't run the churches they planted like that. The apostles didn't act as CEO(s): collecting huge tithes and offerings; building luxurious churches, schools, houses; living luxuriously in general. However, they did serve as Spiritual Fathers to them; and wouldn't tolerate Sins or Compromises: Worldliness, Political correctness and Trying to be cool with people or the world. Now, here is the problem with our churches: the moment something goes wrong with the head (respected men at the top), it spreads to all in the system like the plague, except the few like the Berean Christians who are diligent with the words of Jesus (according to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John), and are FULL of the Holy Spirit. For instance, if the Pastor/Prophet/Pope wakes up one day and says, "Okay, as from today, Mary was born without sin, so we can pray to her". You guessed right! Almost everyone in the system will say, "Amen". OR He might get up and say, "Right, once you are now saved, you are always saved: you can Never Fall Away! (like the devil told Eve she would Not Die before eating the forbidden fruit). And they will reply, "Amen". Etc. They won't even resist because that's what they wanted to hear, and the CEO is not stupid to offend his customers or potential ones, and never to do something that would spoil his BIG business! Back to the Question---to forsake the gathering or Not (as the Bible says): This is a personal thing to each one: to seek Jesus personally to be sure. Nevertheless, in my experience, as much as I believe in the gathering of brethren (a local church), I know it can be quite striking to hear that it's been over five years since I stepped away from the "regular church system". "Huh, but it says FORSAKE NOT the gathering..." Yes, I strongly agree! Remember, the devil told Jesus, "it is written...". Jesus knew something was wrong. So, He replied, "it is ALSO written..." Matthew chap. 4. Likewise, in my case, it is ALSO written to TURN AWAY from those with a form of godliness without the power. 2 Timothy 3:5 My advice: Before you continue with your church, study the Bible, especially the new testament very well, and seek Jesus in prayer on whether to "NOT Forsake" OR to "TURN Away" from them. 2 Corinthians 6:17-18 KJV Wherefore COME OUT from among them, and BE YE SEPARATE, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing ; and I will receive you, [18] And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. 2 Timothy 4:3-4,10 KJV For the time will come when they will NOT endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they HEAP to themselves Teachers, having ITCHING EARS; [4] And they shall TURN away their ears from the Truth, and shall be turned unto FABLES. [10] For Demas hath Forsaken me, having LOVED this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia. Matthew 23:15 KJV Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him TWOFOLD more the child of hell than yourselves. 2 Timothy 3:5 KJV Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such TURN AWAY. John 6:66-68 KJV From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked NO MORE with him. [67] Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also GO AWAY? [68] Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom Shall We Go? thou hast the words of Eternal life. May Jesus Bless You.

BEING and BEEN *Being* implies that the action is still on in the present (is being done); past (was being done). Use is, was, are, were + Being While *been* connotes already done/settled (past perfect). Use has/have/had + Been Has is singular; have is plural and had is the past tense of both has and have. Example sentences: *He has been taken back. *They have been taken back. *He had been taken back before you arrived. Moreover, they're pronounced differently: *BEING---MI....; *BEEN---RE (Yoruba marks). Peace with you. |
Bobolof343:If the person sins a lot willfully and unrepentant, he gets lost altogether and loses the Holy Spirit. Because the Holy Spirit cannot live in a dirty vessel. Except he genuinely repents and do not want to Sin anymore (he may slip up sometimes but he hates it and repents immediately and seeks God till he gets victory over it), he won't receive the Spirit. Therefore, he won't be a child of God but of the devil. The bible says he that sins is of the devil. 1 John 3:8 You don't really need any pastor or man to pray for you: all you need is a genuine or repentant heart. If God sees one that is sorry and repentant of his sins, he will not cast such away but bless him. Now, after a person has received the Holy Spirit and continue to obey Jesus according to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, then he must ask to be FILLED of the Holy Spirit to overcome sins, witness for Jesus and serve God. May Jesus Bless You. |
John 15:6,10 KJV If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. [10] If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. |

Okay friend, let's close all up there. I take that has your opinion as much as I strongly disagree with you, cos it's very very clear in scripture, and of which I gave very few verses about it. Thanks... Good bye. **********************************""""" Nevertheless, for anyone that still cares, please check my previous post and see few verses below as well (please take not of this signs " " and words in capital letters): Luke 8:13 KJV They on the rock are they , which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, "which for a while believe", and in time of temptation "fall away". Romans 8:13 KJV For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 1 Peter 4:18 KJV And if the righteous "scarcely" be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? Matthew 24:13 KJV But he that shall "endure unto the end", the same shall be saved. Hebrews 10:26-27 KJV For IF we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, [27] But a certain fearful looking for of JUDGEMENT t and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. Hebrews 6:6 KJV If they shall FALL AWAY, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. 1 Corinthians 9:27 KJV But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. If we continue in obedience to Jesus' words we remain, otherwise we would get CUT OFF and burned! John 15:6 KJV If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the FIRE, and they are BURNED. Please, read your bibles and ask the Holy spirit, you don't necessarily need men. Jesus Sets Free Not Men. May Jesus Bless You. |
Askme2020:Hmm, I see your point. I've just done a quick search in the Bible, and I was just getting to realize that the word Soul is used many times to mean two main things among others: 1. A person's Life or Existence in total. Matthew 16:26 2. Will, emotion, mind (according to my previous post). *Also, I think it's used somewhat synonymously with the word 'Person': Every soul means Everybody, Everyone... E.g: Act 3:23 KJV. Cos the Spirit is the real Man: God's Image; *We are Spirits (God created us in his own image, God is Spirit). *We have a Soul each (As in: Hebrew 4:12 and 1 Thess 5:23 type of context; my previous post). *We live in the Body to interact with the physical world: when the body dies our spirits/souls remain: with God or eternal punishment. Anyway, I think the main thing is to yield every part of our existence to God; not minding too much about the exact names given to the parts scripturally. Matthew 16:26 KJV For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own Soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his Soul? (Soul = Someone's Life or Existence) May Jesus Bless You. |
Rozz:As a Catholic/Pentecostal by birth, I'm sorry, but I must warn everyone who cares to listen. Start taking Jesus' Words far more seriously than that of ANY Church or Man. Start IMITATING the Berean Christians, unlike the Thessalonican Christians, they SEARCHED the scriptures Daily to SEE that what the Apostles taught were True. The Holy Spirit Saw that, and was impressed. (Act 17:11) The problem is that we ARE NOT serious, that's why everything our Pastors/Father/Pope/Bishop says or does Must be true; but the Words of Jesus? 'Huh, Jesus can Wait!' 'What they preach in my Daddy/Mummy's Church/denomination is terribly more important!' Perhaps, our church or religious leaders are now closer to God the Father than Jesus himself?Hence, they are the way, the truth and the life? It's terrible to realize how we focus on Church traditions/rituals/routines, and shut out the words of Jesus according to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. John 14:15 KJV If ye love me, keep my commandments. Colossians 2:8,18 KJV Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. [18] Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind. Matthew 15:3 KJV But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? Luke 13:24,27 KJV Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. [27] But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. May We Humble Ourselves so as to get Light On Dead Religion of Men. May Jesus Bless You. |

tyup:Sure! It's certainly not easy to enter and walk the narrow way that leads to Life. But if we're not Serious to do our own part, God won't get us by the scruff of the neck either. We got to Choose Life; Overcome evil with Good. Stop saying it's hard, yeah, it is. But have Faith in God: with Him all things are possible! Repent, and obey Jesus according to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Then renew your thinking: the work of the Cross and to spend eternity in Hell is very Serious. We need to be Serious: Violent. The Violent take it by force. May Jesus Bless You. |
unstoppable51:Unfortunately, the answer given here is True By Half! I mean it's not Complete. This is a common method of Leading people astray. I'll quote Paul, one of the greatest apostles of Jesus: 27 I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be Disqualified. 1 Corinthians 9:27 Remember what Jesus said: Luke 9:62 KJV And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough (converted), and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. Luke 13:24 KJV Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall NOT be able. John 15:6 KJV If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the FIRE, and they are Burned. The Bible warns not to be many teachers, because they will be judged with stricter judgement. We must take heed. May Jesus Give You Light. |
The bible says Flee youthful lusts. If we don't flee, we ARE NOT serious. The Bible says Jesus Loved righteousness but Hated Sin. You see, many of us don't Hate those sins or addictions. We can't expect God to do what we are meant to do. First is to be humble, pray and pray: ask for forgiveness, obey Jesus in order to continue in the light. Also, cast of all channels of temptation: friends (male/female), TV shows or movies, etc. I've always had to avoid the TV shows/movies like the plague (even so-called Christian movies). Obedience in this case is to FLEE. The picture about Fleeing I like is about a Lion or Leopard that has just broken loose on the street: how would people Flee? However, if we don't fear God's wrath, love him for his mercy, hate evil, we'll just continue to pat the head of the lions of sins, feed them and end up in more and more sins: spiritual death. Repentance must be total, not just for some parts. May we humble ourselves and receive grace to overcome in all things. May Jesus Bless You. |
