Carl Thompson, who weighed 65 stone dies at 33.He was found dead at his flat in Dover, Kent last month after spree-eating for years following the death of his mother.  
Mr Thompson was completely bedbound in the run-up to his death and often consumed 10,000 calories a day spending thousands of pounds a year on fast food. He spent £22,000 on takeaways in six years

Mr Thompson’s funeral was held earlier this month.His coffin was more than twice the size of a regular casket.

Lets be clear: A woman's body is not dangerous to you, her body will not cause you harm, it will not make you do stupid things.

I disagree with your point of view in that its ok for a woman to wear "what works for her". Yes a man shouldn't blame a woman solely for his lack of self control. However, you must realise that we (both men and women) hasthe power to influence one another by our conduct, this is why the word modesty and decency is used. One of the worlds major problem is that we all are selfish in thing we do. We always consider self to be primary not considering that our actions affect people around us positively or negetively.
When I see a skimpily dressed lady, I can make some inferences about her circle of influence. I believe the men around a lady are largely responsible for her kind of dressing. If a lady's father, brother, boyfriend, male friends or even husband were to disaprove of a skimpy dress, the likelihood of her dressing nude or skimpy is almost zero, 'cos women love and need attention from men mostly and when they don't get it and instead Get a rebuke, that women will be sure to change her mode of dreesing ( this is true in most cases, some ladies have crossed the bounderies of sanity into insanity and so this may not apply to such ladies)

Chinese surgeons recently performed a bizarre surgery in order to save a man’s severed hand. They grafted it on to his ankle for a month, before reattaching it to his arm! The innovative surgery was carried out on factory worker Zhou, from Changsha, China’s Hunan province. Zhou’s left hand was accidentally severed from his arm during an accident involving a spinning blade machine. He was immediately rushed to Xiangya Hospital, where Dr. Tang Juyu and his team realised that the damaged nerves and tendons needed time to heal. If they tried to attach the hand to his arm immediately, its cells would die from lack of blood supply.



“Under normal temperatures, a severed finger needs to resume blood supply within 10 hours, but that time is even shorter for a separated limb,” Tang explained. “If a limb is short of blood for too long, its tissues die and it will be unsalvageable.”  So the doctors decided to attach the hand to Zhou’s ankle, and the immediate flow of blood kept it alive for a month. During this time his arm healed, and in another 10-hour operation, they re-attached the hand to the arm.

For now, Zhou is only able to move his fingers slightly. But his condition is expected to improve with time, and soon he’ll be able to use his entire hand.  Dr. Tang happens to be a specialist in difficult tissue and wound repair cases. He and his team were in the news a couple of years ago for performing the same surgery on another worker named Xie Wei. Xie’s case was a lot more complicated because his severed hand had gone without blood supply for seven hours before he could reach a hospital with the right facilities to reattach it.

It is about time every right thinking Nigeria begin to think of an alternative country to live in. Apart from the civil war, the last 6 years have been an unending war in Nigeria. How can any sane person think of building a future in a country where your life can be cut short at any moment? How can you call a country home where you cannot even succeed financially and walk the streets freely, or even have your family walk freely. A good example is my dear friend Chimamanda the whole world celebrates, yet her country rewarded her by kidnapping her father. Or is it Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala who was rewarded by kidnapping her 82 year old fragile mom. Or is it the professor that was rewarded by being brutally murdered in the comfort of his home?

Why should any sane person keep thinking of living in Nigeria, when they campainged for CHANGE, when all the get is mass killings every other day? We do not blame PMB for the menace taking place in Nigeria, why should we even blame him? the travails of this country has really eaten deep. Why should anyone be proud of Nigeria, when Femi Fani-Kayode or is it Olukayode announed to the whole world that he will now be going abroad for his long over due medical checkup. Do we even have hospitals that can take care of anything anymore? Why should anyone keep dreaming of an illusionary Nigerian dream, when if the President gets a heart attack he will die within hours, for their is no hospital in the whole country with a standard ICU and with capabilities for cardiac stenting or catheterization.

A country where dead people lie on the street of Lagos, with no scintilla of help or emergency services by state! A country where people empty their account just go give birth "abroad" and make their children escape the horrors and de nove disadvantage of being a full Nigerian citizen. A country where mass killings have been made the norm with no state official commenting on over 500 innocent souls that have been killed in the past one month.
A country despite the massive potentials and wealth still wallows in disease, corruption, kidnapping, poverty and everything bad.

Truth be told, Nigeria has become a sinking ship, and needs to drown or fall off the cliff and then rebuilt again. For our youths to reach their full potential it is imperative for them to have their own revolution! Or at least start thinking of the nearest next African country to call home. Nigeria is a cooking hallogen gas in a hot air ballon that is about to pop and kill. It is coming, it must come, it is here!

In summary, I hate Jonthan, I will give PMB a chance to save this sinking ship. Nevertheless, I won't have campainged for CHANGE but for a massive revolution.

Gov Ayo is truly an unruly fellow, no doubt about that, but Gov Nasir El-rufai and by extension his son are just as unruly as Gov fayose is. I remember Gov El-rufai's constant insults on the former president On twitter and Facebook. I was so disappointed @el-rufai, although I strongly believe that he is still the best for kaduna. Gov Ayo Fayose should expect more disrespect and insult as he also doesn't know that a state Governor should talk and act with decorum

It doesn’t bother me anymore to hear a phone ringing during a church service. It’s part of life in the 21st century. But I’ll admit I was shocked last month when I heard a ringtone while I was preaching—and a woman seated in the third row pulled her phone out of her purse and began a lengthy conversation as if she were in the waiting room of a beauty parlor.

That incident prompted me to post a question on Facebook the next day. I asked my friends to share their own stories of rudeness in church. That triggered an avalanche of pent-up frustration about crinkly peppermint wrappers, loud music, smelly feet (yes, someone took off their shoes during the service), unruly children, coffee-sipping saints and parishioners who try to finish their pastors’ sentences during sermons.

When I tallied the responses, I came up with this list of the rudest things people do in church:

1. Talking during a service.

2. Texting or surfing the web during a service. (One person mentioned seeing people playing video games on their phones.)

3. Sleeping—or snoring!—during a sermon.

4. Clipping fingernails during church. (I was amazed at how many people listed this offense. One person said his church’s sound technician clipped his nails routinely during the sermon, and it was amplified over the loud speaker.)

5. Answering a ringing phone in church.

6. Constantly getting up and leaving the auditorium, presumably to use the restroom.

7. Walking out of a service early, especially during a prayer.

8. Letting babies cry incessantly in the service.

9. Chewing or smacking gum. (One friend from Puerto Rico said he is particularly annoyed when people “chew gum like a goat.”)

10. Public display of affection. (One person complained about a man and wife who enjoy giving each other back rubs during worship.)

Those were the most common replies. Other infractions mentioned in my unscientific poll included (1) “Pushing people to the floor while praying for them”; (2) “Saying ‘Amen’ 100 times during the sermon”; (3) “Taking change from the offering plate”; (4) “Swearing in church” (I didn’t ask for the details on that!); and (5) “Drinking beverages during the entire service.”

But as I mused over these replies, I couldn’t help but wonder: What does God consider rude?

I don’t think He’s too annoyed by crying babies or rambunctious children. Nor do I think God is offended if a husband and wife get slightly cozy in church. And surely God has compassion for a person whose tiny bladder forces them to go to the restroom more often than everyone else. Some of us just need to lighten up and extend grace to latecomers, fidgety kids, teeth-grinders, young mothers with infants and people who have to report to work promptly at 1 p.m.

But when I look at the Bible, it’s obvious God doesn’t like it when people refuse to focus their attention when He’s talking. He has called us to listen. Moses told the Hebrews they would be blessed if they listened to God’s commandments (Deut. 11:27, NASB). Solomon said that when we come to God’s house we should “draw near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools” (Eccl. 5:1, emphasis added).

Isaiah said that God awakened him “to listen as a disciple” (Isa. 50:4, emphasis added), while Jeremiah rebuked Israel because they “did not listen or incline their ears” (Jer. 17:23, emphasis added). And when Jesus was glorified in His transfiguration, the Father declared, “Listen to Him!” (Luke 9:35, emphasis added). There is no possible way we can please God or be His faithful followers if we don’t learn to listen.

Yet today we live in a distracted culture. We are sleep-deprived multitaskers. We surf the web while we watch TV; we text while we drive; we tweet while we work; we take calls when we are meeting friends for conversation. Some people even crash into each other while walking on sidewalks because they are too busy Googling to see another distracted Googler headed straight toward them.

We are so focused on everything that we can’t focus on anything. I sometimes wonder if the proliferation of fast food, sugary drinks, movies on demand, “smart” phones and 24-hour news isn’t re-wiring our brains so we can’t focus on what’s really important. We’re turning into media zombies.

I’m not bashing technology. But we could lose the art of discipleship if we don’t reclaim the habit of careful listening. That means when we come to church, especially, we should not just turn off our phones but also tune out all other distractions so we can focus on what God is saying to us—through the preacher, the worship songs, the prayers and the Holy Spirit’s still, small voice.

Please don’t be rude to God. Don’t just go to church. Go and hear the word of the Lord. Don’t talk, text, sleep or take calls when He is speaking. Listen as if your life depended on it.

Camp (ADC) to the President, Lt.-Col. Lawal Abubakar preventing Department of State Services (DSS) operatives from giving the president close protection.

According to Punch, Mani had in a memo issued on Friday, June 26, 2015 countered Abubakar, stating that DSS officials should disregard the ADC directives as it was a misrepresentation of the president’s order.

While quoting relevant sections of the constitution which empowers the DSS to carry out such security functions, Mani who copied the National Security Adviser; the Chief of Defence Staff and the Director-General of DSS said the various security agencies at the Villa would be educated in the coming days on what their responsibilities were.

The memo read in part: : “In fact, the issues raised in the aforementioned (ADC’s) circular tend to suggest that the author may have ventured into a not-too-familiar terrain.

“The extant practice, the world over, is that VIP protection, which is a specialised field, is usually handled by the Secret Service, under whatever nomenclature.

“They usually constitute the inner core security ring around every principal. The Police and the military by training and mandate are often requiredto provide secondary and tertiary security cordons around venues and routes.

“However, all other security agencies, including the army, the police and others, also have their roles to play. It is on this note that heads of all security agencies currently in the Presidential Villa and their subordinates are enjoined to key into the existing command and control structure. They are to work in harmony with each other in full and strict compliance with the demands of their statutorily prescribed responsibilities.

“Meanwhile, joint training programmes and other incentives will be worked out in the days ahead to ensure that all security personnel at the Presidential Villa are properly educated to understand their statutory roles and responsibilities.

“This is with a view to avoiding obvious grandstanding, overzealousness, limited knowledge or outright display of ignorance in future.”

A source at the Villa enthused that the CSO’s directive was yet to be implemented because as at Sunday, June 28, 2015, the soldiers manning various sections of the Presidential Villa were still seen at their beats.

The source also said that a top DSS official was to blame for the face-off between both security agencies after he barred soldiers from the residence reception.

His action warranted the soldiers to reportto the ADC, who was said to have taken the case to the president.

He said: “Before that incident, the soldiers have been cooperative and well-behaved. The situation we find ourselves is painful but it is also avoidable,”

Power supply in my area has been very consistent since 2014 and not just within the last 1 month as many people are attributing it to the new government. I believe that this new government will improve on what is already on ground. We enjoy at least 18 to 20hours of steady power supply on a daily basis,except at time when there is a major problem

To add to your point. These names are mostly Arabic and not islamic. Arabians and arabic (the language) existed before the advent of islam. Although many arabic names are now modified to be more islamic. However, in Ngeria many christians bear arabic and islamic name, this is more common in the southwest and parts. Of the North. Many pastors bear bello and othe arabic names
