Maadness in broad day light |
Chelsea have made a bid for FC Tokyo’s Japan international striker Yoshinori Muto, his club has claimed. The bid from the Blues is reported to be around £4m and a spokesman for the Japanese club said: “It is true that we have received an official offer from Chelsea for Muto. But nothing has been decided.” He struck 13 goals last year and was named in the J-League’s best XI. Muto told the Japanese press: “I’m honoured to receive an offer from this wonderful team, but I have not made any decision yet.”

A closing statement from PDP Gubernatorial candidate, Jimi Agbaje... To the good people of Lagos: As today winds down and our campaign officially comes to a close, let me be the first to thank each and everyone of you for your prayers, support and well-wishes throughout the course of this campaign. A little over 3-months ago, I set out on a bold journey to CHANGE how government works not just for a few elites but for ordinary people. It was clear from the beginning that I would face a formidable adversary in the APC - an incumbent party with a political machinery built and honed over the last 16-years. But I understood that as a candidate if I presented my case with the utmost level integrity; if I spoke from the heart about the challenges and the opportunities that we face as a state, the people will in return respond. I knew if I anchored my vision on the very values that shaped me as a young man as well as the principles of empathy, hard work and integrity that have guided me in life, Lagosians will come out of every nook and cranny of this vibrant state to support my candidacy. Today, each and everyone of you have made this campaign what it is. With your voice, you have created a new narrative in our local politics. A narrative where ideas matter and ordinary people do have a say in future of our state. Because you chose to participate, we've been able to challenge the status-quo. Because you chose not to settle for nothing other than the best, our impending victory is in clear sight. Lagos, this is our time to rewrite history. This is our moment of CHANGE. But we must have the courage to press on to the very end. From tomorrow, I encourage each and everyone of you to reach out to your friends, families and neighbours and make sure they all come out to VOTE. And as you vote, let's ensure that we're orderly, peaceful and vigilant. Come Saturday, April 11, let's make it clear to the establishment that we're sick and tired of corruption and the undue influence of vested interests in our state. After tonight my online and social media handles will go quiet in respect for INECs campaign rules and guidelines. For me, it has been the greatest honour of my political life to have run in this race. With your support, I look forward to the privilege of serving as your Governor. Once again, I thank you. #Lagosforyou #LagosforAll Linda Ikeji at |

Consult your doctor, nairaland isn't the place to solicit for such advice |
Kunle afolayan's complain is understandable and justified. Without any form of sentiments, we all know that the igbo boys of alaba are the ones who pirate movies, not just in lagos but all over Nigeria, I guess this is the negetive side of the igbo man's business prowess. Now this is not to say that the igbo tribe as a whole is responsible for this attrocity, its just that those who we all know who pirate movies are igbos. There are myriad igbo men and women who Are contributing immensely to Nigerias growth. Its always an error for anyone to judge a tribe by the actions of a few, its neva common to all |
I was hoping that the statement credited to the oba wasn't true, but its is. I just watched the video on channels tv and I must say, its very unfortunate for a respectable oba to make such a statement. He obviously is ignorant about the effect of such comments, this may as well work to favour Jimi Agbaje into power. Am sure that the Ndigbo will prove defiant. Also I must say that the response by a suppose ohaneaze youth group is equally immature, senseless and terrible response to a threat. Nigeria can only progress when we walk together as one people |
No one dies, the rolling ball isn't heavier than the one on the lever, so it can't lift it up, also the opening on the rolling stone will save B , so no one dies. Hope am right |
Why all these unecessary show of tribalism. It wunt get us anywhere |
He is Panto Crato - all mighty, the mighty God |
yinkarh187:. Its glaring that you excel in ignorance. John 1:1-14 |
He makes a good point, I think all APC loyalist should take time to read it b4 criticizing excetera |
No need buhari, BH is almost a thing of the past. Hopefully GEJ will see to that before he hands over. Its better GMB focuses on the Niger Delta Thugs like Tompolo and his brothers |
Nothing wrong with court at all. Initially I didn't think it was necessary and I rejected it until I got information about the need for it. Court wedding is what the Law in Nigeria and world recognises. Some churches (mostly older ones) are recognised by the law. Embassies recognise marriage certificates from the law courts. I think every1 should do it. |

Why are christian(questionable one's I believe) so quick to use abusive words at other christian, as if they know it better? I wonder. For all(including CU students) who are complaining, pls remember that its a CHRISTIAN university not a conventional school, also u can try going to an islamic university and talk about being an adult and human right et al, pls give us feed back once u graduate fron there. I agree with the laws at CU......selah |
this apple didnt fall far from the parent tree |
some comments are just funny, some make sense and some zero sense. personally i believe b4 u(male and female, especially male) can choose a partner for life, u need to first know where u are headed(ur life's calling, ur life's goal, ur life's passion), simply because, where u are headed determines who you take along with you. ADAM(1st man) had a vision/goal for his life b4 EVE came along and she was designed(with all the necessary skills, passion, strength, talents, gifts etc) to help him succedd at the adventure of their lifes. so i beleive physical xtic alone wunt suffice. thats my thought on that topic |
realsammie: ...and what's your pointwhy not read the old comments, there is a reason why u CANNOT understand, u can read the scripture i quoted for urself |
realsammie: Can not understand whatyou are good proof of my point |
OgBetty: I tink speakin in tongue z different 4rm prayin in tongue. Speakin in tongue z wen either u or sum1 else interprets wat u r sayin while prayin in tongue z wen neither u no any1 can interpret wat u r sayin. Wat almost everybody has 2day z d gift of PRAYIN in tongue n nt SPEAKIN IN TONGUEpoint of correction sir, unknown tongues is a language just like hausa or yoruba or french or swahili, only that its unknown to you except the Holy spirit gives you the interpretation(1 cor 14:14). also just as we can speak french as in a conversation, sing in french or shout in french or even pray in yoruba or igbo, we can also speak (1 cor14:18), pray(jude 1:20), shout or sing in tongues. personally i believe that the holy spirit gives us these utterance not only to edify ourselves (1 cor 14:4) or the body of christ(the church) but mainly to give us a very personal relationship with God just as Adam had with God at the beginning(1 cor 14:2). For the Gift of interpretation, we are meant to desire or crave for the Holy Spirit to give us the interpretation to any unknown tongue because it will benefit others around us(the church), thats what chapter 13 and the 14 of corinthians spoke about, its a greater show of love to seek to interprete the wisdom of God revealed in tongues to others and not only to edify one's self only. God bless |
SimonAndal: _Excuse me Mr Simonandal, why are u quick to call me "mumu"? seems my comment angered u. anyway, you have just shown me your level of understanding and clearly you must be a dwarf or a miget in spiritual issues, not implying that i know it all. But, what i was talking about is not the language the desciples uttered after the day of pentecost but the concept, the idea of speaking in unknown tongues. the people who heard the desciples speak in tongues knew very well that the desciples could not speak their native languages, only for them to hear them speak it out fluently. i remember saying that only by a supernatural sign or a demonstration of a higher life (a tangible proof) can people in this age believe in things like speaking and interpreting tongues. when we as christians dont exhibit the quality of life christ has given us, no one will believe in God or the christ we preach and live(1 corinthians 2:4,14-15) |
its very real, but always remember that a non-spiritual person CANNOT understand it, its follishness to the carnal man, so trying to explains it or proove its existence to a carnal person is a waste. Only proofs will make people believe in this age |
Its a bit disturbing to hear ignorant people attack people or pastors based on d biased views of the press. All those who insult Bsp Oyedepo dnt knw him outside what d press or back-bitters publish. As a christian u'r meant to test ALL things and hold fast to what is TRUE.how many bothered to confirm 1thess 5:17. Have bn to d church to hear what he preaches and confirm for urself whether he speaks d truth or not. That happen to be someone dat helped my family after my father's passing IN 1987, he and d church(winners) wld help financially and otherwise, bhp once called my mum and gave her money to change all 4tyres of her rickety car. My roda went to d university tru winners scholarship and many more have gone tru dat means also. Once I dnt hv concrete proof of an accusation I keep shut and even if I hv proof I speak with discretion. if you aren't anybody nobody will speak of u. Confirm things b4 you speak from the depths of your folly ......selah |
