Bro I tire o. The idiot refused to wait for traffic light. I didn't even see him at all. Before I parked to check, he has zoomed off. Kinda downcast now pope191: I was about asking how this people sleep at night a day before yesterday. I don't think an average dispatch rider go a day without denting someone's car. They now have this habit of not stopping, look the dent and just zoom off and it's crazy how they gather once one of them have score to settle. |

I dont think so bro. Pearl1910: Commission is only calculated on trip fare. If u do the calculation for gross and net for that day that day, u will see ur tip is extra income which reflects in your Net. |

No be lie. Some drivers are the ones making these riders think sey dem get power. One rider booked me this evening. Getting to PU, I tired calling her but number not available. Meanwhile she was outside looking at my car. There were many of them there. I used inapp call too, no response. Mins later she came close to my car and started abusing me for not calling her. I tried to maintain my cool. Showed her the no of times I've tried calling her. I asked why she too didn't call. She began schooling me on why only drivers MUST call. I jejely asked her to get out my car. The thing pain her o. But I no care. Twas even an opportunity for me to go eat. We should stop taking shits from these riders guys. Ghost1994: As seen on group |

I'm with you on this. CheerfulGiver: I've said here before that only ignorant drivers sleep on the streets. And yes, any street uber drivers sleep in they mess it up.
Next will be alternative route chevron and Shoprite axis, jakande.
How will full grown men congregate, brush teeth, bathe on the streets and parade in their dirty boxers early in the morning and expect residents to be cool with it?
I hope you've learned your lesson. Always go home at night. |

Thanks. The trip is actually on offline. So not bothered about Uche . I if the 500 Naira is for 1hr I can then go there once it is 6.40. Landing time is 7.20. Felicity0001: I really don't know as I've only pickup at MMA2 once since the pay lot was introduced and i made it clear to Uche and his team I won't pickup again till they add the pay lot fee to ride fares... But someone I think cheerfulgiver posted a screen short 2weeks after my experience of the fee being added to the ride fare (don't trust any of that guy's post though ), so I haven't been there for some time now. But what I know is you must not stay more than 15min after making payment, as for waiting for very some minutes/hours, that I don't know.
My advice is just drive down to Bensam which is behind Concord or mafoluku or better still drive into Sam Ethnan Barrack, tell the securities you're going for pickup and wait for your rider, the moment you get a call from h/h it will take you less than 3mins to get there if no traffic, drive into the pay lot, pick them up, pay and drive out.
Good luck. |

Wish I could give you 1000 likes for this. Very succinct! Felicity0001: Well, its a good thing you're already thinking and mapping out plans on what to do with your life after graduation and its also applauding you're already an undergraduate enterprenuer, i must say I fancy your courage, enthusiasm and mentality especially in this country Nigeria where there're limited opportunities.
To be honest it not easy getting a job after school even if you're lucky to have one most of them the pay is nothing to write home about, parents are dying in silent after spending their youthful life and money training their children only for them to graduate without a reasonable job... It very sad. Many graduates and undergraduates because of that have resorted to go into internet scam and other unthinkingable and unimaginable crimes like kidnapping, car hijacking among others. A few that were lucky get laid off may be after a few months due to bad government policies, contract jobs, companies folding up and the likes. This and Many more reasons are why most of us are found doing the uber driving job not that we enjoy it, no! But we have to make ends meet and then hope that things gets better with the state of the country for our children growing up even if not for us again because our own parents didn't suffer all of these we are currently being faced.
Yes of a truth you'll make money driving with uber/bolt but another truth is you'll have to put in several hours of your time driving morning till mid night, 5-6days and most time 7days a week. You'll be expose to both good and toxic humans, many will be ungodly while few will be pleasant, among all of these things you'll try to be calm for the sake of your account getting blocked because you wouldn't want to loose your source of earning. Even with the hundreds of thousands you pay as commission to uber/bolt you're still at their mercy because they have thousands of drivers paying even higher commission than you to them. You'll loose interest trying to apply for jobs because you'll have the thinking, how much can an employer pay you? After all I'm grossing 980k monthly driving. You'll loose weight, you won't have time to hang out with friends and family neither would you want to go on holidays because the surge are tempting so you want to be online at all time. You'll start having sight problem after some time because of flashes of light and your eyes being focus all the time...you'll start feeling your legs shake while walking or sitting down due to long hours driving, some will start having pot belle due to late night eat so constipation is inevitable, many will develope hemorrhoid popularly known as pile, late night eating, indigestion and long hours sitting down to drive can cause this this problem... The unfortunate drivers get robbed, get involve in an accident some their cars taken away and sadly a few once lost their lives to either sickness, accident or to car hijackers, never to be found again unless with God's intervention. Yes something must kill a man but people die in their sleep in their old age so why would a man die while on duty or to diagnosed sickness? Sad!
So my dear friend(s)[newbies] these are most of the truths celebrity driver aka cheerfulgiver and many others with little or no knowledge about the hustle won't tell you, know it now b4 making that decision to join the hustle.
Me i go speak my mind, I stand with and not just by the truth. I will die for it! I've lost a lot for this same truth oh but I've gain more than I've lost.
So like I initially advised "the bolt/uber shop is another man's idea" you are already an entrepreneur so think something bigger so you can stand among CEOs and not among celebrity drivers with unrealistic dashboards.
A word is enough for the wise. |

Reason a country like Indonesia will disrespect our diplomat. Sebi Na so our force people dey Bleep us here. pleasureosondu: Actually, she disrespected you. And you opted for your dignity rather than the money involved. A great lesson for all drivers. It's not always about the money. If drivers don't show some form of dignity to this job, don't expect your rider to respect you. Hopefully next time, she'll be much courteous.. |

Thanks for your input. As said, lesson learnt. They promised to get back to me. Account still active though. Felicity0001: Guy don't let people talk you down. You didn't do anything wrong after all you never was seripus with your request according to your narration. She girl is stupid with entitlement issues... These are the kinds of riders that believe Bolt is a carrier service company or must carry every luggage and have every stops they so please.
The only place you made a mistake was agreeing to carry her even with her excess luggage. The app says, "if luggage can't fit in ask the rider to request another ride or cancel and report "luggage can't fit". The guy that trained us during my unboarding said, "Guy if the load too much use your head"... An average street boy knows what that means.
The stupid girl reported you collected cash for a card trip not charging for extra luggage. If it was the later Bolt wouldn't have called you they called simply because you collected cash for a card trip, that signal alone is term fraudulent and when cases like these are reported Bolt always contact the driver to find out what truly happened. I've experienced similar thing b4 during the partial lockdown and I did justice to that effect via mail to bolt... They even suspended my account for I think about 2days or so but when they judge the matter well they unblocked my account.
So next time simply cancel the ride especially if it a short trip. Don't even border negotiating offline with some ladies they don't like hearing it especially if you're the one that initiate it.
Watch out for your account and be careful from now on till like 6weeks because they must have put you on a watch list. |

We learn everyday bro. Springboot: Do you need a dash cam to convince bolt to block your account instead of just warning you? Except bolt has it in their terms and condition, you are the fraudulent one here for aksing for additional fare, I think she was right to report you. you should have made the trip offline from beginning. |

Guys see me see wahala o. I picked this lady from Omole Phase 1 to Ipaja area on Saturday. She had loads that couldn't fit in the boot. We had to put the rest in the back seat. I made her realise she would pay for the load. Like play, when we got to the destination and because she told me she didn't have enough cash on her, she dropped 500 naira and even still collected 200 back. She also bought me pop corn of 100 naira on the road. The trip was on card.
I was shocked to receive a call from Bolt today that the lady accused me of collecting cash from her even when her trip was on card.
They asked for my own side which I already told them. The Bolt agent promised to get back to her.
I think we need dash cam in our car o. |

Guys let's endeavour to do good out there no matter the temptation. After ending a woman's trip today, she did transfer of 4k but showed error. She had to to do another one that was successful. Shortly after I left she called that she had been debited twice. I asked for her account details and transferred the extra 4k to her after confirming it from my end. She was so mad for joy. She said she feared I might not return it. I have given her another reason to believe that honest people still exist among drivers.
Integrity is the key guys. Let's try to maintain it. Peace. |
