Such trips, you shouldnt have embarked on it. kala111: This makes whole lot of sense. More reason why I've decided to off my app since on sunday just to lend my voice in my own little way.
Bolt rating is just so annoying and riders are really taking advantage of that. A rider requested me around that Mende Maryland on Sunday during that heavy rain. Her house is in a certain location which map can not even locate. They are aware of that and had to come and pick me. Is just a street away.
She started by saying I should use my back to enter through the gate of their compound with a narrow packing space. When I got to a point I couldn't go further due to the vehicle behind, she still insisted i moved backward a little more. Then I was already boiling inside of me and my countenance could reveal that to ger.
Next was another lady coming out with a very big Ghana must go bag struggling to hold grip of and said open your boot. I just weak at that point, a thought said cancel and another thought said you have put so much effort for this trip not to happen. And then came with the second bag and the third. Two bags into the boot and the third on my back seat.
When we got to her destination at Ikeja GRA she was still ordering me stay here move forward move backward. Then I told her I can't move further. Trip was just 1k with all that enormous stress and she requested for account no and did transfer.
Me that has been maintaining 4.98 rating in the last two weeks. Something just told me to check my rating as I was waiting for a request next thing I saw was 4.88. Just like that 10 just vanish. |

I joined this strike in solidarity for drivers that have been killed, maimed, robbed, blocked or cheated. All these things are highly preventable and it's within the power of the app companies, but yet they have chosen to do nothing. I'm not exactly against the low fares cos it's an economic problem, bigger than what we all think.
Drivers have a right to ask for riders to be properly profiled and also demand a secure means of payment. Personally I'm sick of carrying 3 fierce looking guys in my car and be looking over my shoulders every 5 mins while driving. I'm sick of getting to riders destination and she begins to call one guy in UK to transfer money to me. I'm sick of getting to rider's "estate" and having to drive another 3.5km and 20 mins through terribly bad roads. I should be able to decline trips to certain areas and state my reasons to the app companies without fear of being penalized. I'm tired of getting to pickup and I see bags of rice, kegs of oil, cartons of food items and 3 passengers ontop of 1k.
If you haven't been blocked before, just consider it as grace, forget all these I have a secret tactic, you are not wiser than pilots that have been blocked. Most of them only suffered the consequence of knowing and expressing their rights.
For those of you that say people should quit if they are not happy, it's like asking people to leave the country cos they are not happy with Buhari, or asking striking doctors to quit medicine or striking lecturers to quit classrooms. People have invested so much in uberbolt and they have every right to fight what they perceive as injustice. In my own opinion however, the strike is only to get their attention it wont change much. The true solution is a proper lawsuit. I know we have medical doctors among us, software engineers, builders, academics, I also want to believe we have lawyers among us. If they can come together enmasse on our behalf, I honestly dont mind donating a token towards their legal fees, all these back and forth madness will definitely come to and end.
Your thought guys!

You re back? Welcome o. AngryIgboDon: You cannot bring down what can't be broken.
If I were drivers, I will extend this strike for the next 1 week.
Even the striking drivers who are Patriots have made it possible for non striking drivers who are basttards to earn more today because of surge. Which means that even with surge, people will still pay for the comfort and style.
In 2021, base fare is still 500 in Nigeria? How? Are you aware that 500 naira is now 1 dollar? How much is a shock? How much is fuel? How much is alternator and radiator? Nawa to una oo.
Are you aware that the price of dollar determines our economy? I thank God I stopped this useless hustle at the right time.
Average fare at this moment in our history shouldn't be anything less than 1k and bolt should reduce their Commission to 10%. With the number of rides done yearly on bolt, that 10% can easily be 10 billion naira yearly in profits alone. Why make it 20 billion?
It is better that you do 1 trip a day that pays well than 10 useless trips that are worthless. Only veterans will understand this. |

100% on your side. I'm sure if those drivers working or supporting them have had serious blocks before or relative car hijacked by unprofiled rider, they will comply too. We are so selfish in this part of the world. At last, we go dey blame NLC. SMH BAZ001: Are you d one ? After driving down to PU and as soon as I start telling them, they switch off and hope I will cancel. You never see anything
So you think they don’t know there is strike ? When doctors go on strike you think they attend to emergency ? Or you ve not seen doctors go on strike for weeks ?
Have you read about Rosa Park 1955 and the boycotts. Do you know what the great grand fathers did abroad to move the blacks to where they are today as regard racism Nigerians are not willing to pay the price at all. All blacks decided to walk to office and boycott train cos of segregation. Sure you didn’t join endears
The fight is for drivers and future drivers, some of us will soon stop driving.
You already said you won’t join the strike so go ahead and continue driving while I continue frustrating the drivers online. No cancellations fees so once you accept my request you must cancel. |

I love this strategy. I'm gonna use it now. BAZ001: I don hold two drivers down now. I request on surge 1.9x dem dey pickup they wait for me. One of them don call me tire, I say Oga wait I dey come. Next I will tell him your mates dey on strike you greedy man dey online. One don cancel I don request again he go cancel tire... let me add my quota to d strike. |

Ehailing is not meant for everyone. It is premium for a reason. Abeg shift jàre. kanuisagoat: Exactly
Sometimes a trip ends N1500 and the next thing you hear is, sir, I just sent you 1000, ill give you 500 naira cash. The N1000 naira is probably all he has in the account. People are struggling to pay the current fare.
I know because the day my vehicle was not available, I could not justify the price I saw on bolt and ended up using public transport despite having promo of 40% or so. |

Ok. I have a scanner and will try this tomorrow. radautoworks: you need a test light or scanner. Easiest I'm sure bishop can check for you.
With a scanner, go to "data" and scroll till you see o2 sensor bank 1 or 2 whichever one it is, and see if the number is changing. If not, no signal is being received. |
