PoliticsRe: Fayose Bows To Kumuyi, Says I'll Soon Be At Peace.. by davodguy: 3:41pm On Aug 08, 2016
Kumuyi commended the governor for the “progress the state has made” since he assumed office. He advised Fayose to lean on God’s words at all times.
Is this a joke?

PoliticsRe: Aisha Buhari And Zahra Depart The US by davodguy:
Here's my humble personal take on this matter.

NOTE I'm an unrepentant buhari and APC supporter.

Fayose messed up big time by daring Aisha Buhari to go to the US. Cos Fayose was being confident of himself, trying to divert attention away from the probe of his election in 2014.

If he had a functioning brain, he would have realized that even if Aisha Buhari was involved in the scandal, there was no way that could have prevented her from Traveling to the US as first lady of Nigeria. Same immunity that shields him from being arrested in Nigeria, wouldn't allow a foreign government arrest an Ambassador or representative of a country, except there's a warrant for war crimes against.

CareerRe: Why Do Civil Servants Expect Kickbacks For Doing Their Normal Jobs? by davodguy: 6:31am On Aug 08, 2016
Onegai:
99% of Nigerians are corrupt. Which is why it is futile to insult your politicians: those guys are not aliens, they passed through the system.

The mind-boggling part is when you hear some civil servant who has just collected a bribe to do his/her job or inflated a procurement bill or demanded a kickback, complain about the problems in Nigeria and how Govt is bad. I'm like "WT huh...."
Youre very right
CareerRe: Why Do Civil Servants Expect Kickbacks For Doing Their Normal Jobs? by davodguy:
Corruption has eaten deep into or body, spirit and soul.

I'll narrate my personal experiences in all sectors

CAR WASH
The guys at the car wash centre, where i clean my car expects that after paying the normal N500 for basic wash, you have to give them money, upon completion of the service you've paid. It got worse last week, when I drove into the centre. About 5 guys who were doing nothing refused to was my car and I stood for minutes and later complained to the supervisor. The guys said I'm one of those customers that do not 'settle' them after washing. I caused a scene last week and other customers who are victims of this evil act also joined me

GOVERNOR'S OFFICE
Went to governor's office to drop a mail. A civil servant who gets paid monthly, for working at the governor's office mail room, told me my letter would not be dropped to the assistant of the governor except i give him N10,000. This happened in April, 2016. I transferred N5000 to his account. He told me to come the next day to get the Feedback. Behold, I got the feedback after paying.

PHYSICAL PLANNING
They did their Job last year on a development approval request I submitted. They're civil servants and do get paid monthly. yet after getting me the approval, they requested for service charge.

SECURITY PERSONNEL AT BANKS

You go to the bank on Sunday, to use ATM. Security personnel become over zealously nice to you. Start hailing you and ushering you to your car. As you are about to leave, 'oga anything for the boys' I was like anything like what? Slaps or punches? What have you done other than the job you get paid for? I didn't soliciting for extra curriculum services.

This corruption thing has eaten deep into our system and can never go easily, save some spiritual cleansing

We come from the same part of Nigeria, but I disagree with you completely.

Apart from Mko Abiola, that all Nigerians believed was going to give them succor, PMB is another person majority of reasonable Nigerians trust to lead this country aright.

It's not his fault that things are this bad. Not his fault that militants that were dead up till may 29th, 2015 suddenly came back to life.
Not his fault that price of crude old per barrel went down so drastically and same affecting a mono economy like ours.

I still believe that we can trust this man.
Judge him if he's operating under the same terrain as Jonathan did.

From 2010-2015, all Jonathan faced was Boko Haram. Whereas, Boko Haram wasn't a threat to the economy. Hence Jonathan was in a better position to fix Nigeria, if he was sincere.

PMB from May 29th 2015 to August 7, 2016, he has legions of issues
Boko Haram
Herdsmen
Militancy
Kidnapping
Falling price of crude oil
Agitation for cessation by Niger Delta
Agitation for cessation by ipob /biafra

Yet he's still managing to keep this country together. Kudos to PMB. May God strengthen him to take us to the promise land

Please educate us.
Great,

The rating is based on couple of factors in the real estate sector.

The major challenge we have is improper record.

Eg, If i rent a house and paid a rent, there should be a place where that transaction is recorded. Same applies to property sales and acquisition.

But we have lots of issues here. In order not to pay tax, we lie. no Transparency. A house sold for 45m, the buyer would claim he bought it for 35m or in some cases claim its 55m.

In other developed countries, all transactions are well documented and can be refereed to, for comparison

The issues plenty, i only spoke about Just one aspect.
