JustCalMeDBoss: Let's call a spade a spade it was we yorubas who betrayed the south, by blindly following dat so called jagaban. We are already slaves to our choices. To make It even worse we yorubas cannot even agree who should be forwarded for appointment. APC was truly about bringing down PDP but no idea on how to lead. I will say it in oda to bring down the north the south need to be united. But from the way things are there is no trust between the rest of the south and the yorubas. The northerners will continue to have their way. I have always heard we yorubas are betrayer's and always defended my ppl but I think its getting clear we truly might be. Igbo hiding under the disguise of yoruba and saying trash, tell me who was the chief of staff, SGF under GEJ |

uniklinkum: Just maybe you would have been half smart if you take more time out to school the blank space you call brain, instead of been an online troll and irritant with I.Q of an Anopheles mosquito.
This is history 101 for you and your fellow twerps, if this is not slavery by your ancestors, I don't know what else could be slavery.
1, Awolowo attempted to build a southern coalition after the 1959 general election that will see to the emergence of Azikiwe as the Prime Minister. But, the Eastern NCNC of Azikiwe settled to play second fiddle to the Hausa-Fulani led NCP. So tell us, who are the slaves here if not the Igbos.
2, During the second republican election in 1979, Awolowo again attempted to build a southern coalition to defeat the northern political establishment. He chose an Igbo man, Philip Umeadi as his running mate. Instead of supporting him, the Igbos responded with Azikiwe choosing a northerner, Mustapha Shettima as his running mate while Alex Ekwueme opted to contest as the running mate to the Hausa-Fulani candidate, Shuhu Shagari. Again I put it to you, tell us who are the slaves here?
3, During the botched third republic and while Abiola and the Yorubas were fighting the Hausa-Fulani for the restoration of a national mandate freely giving by all Nigerians, the Igbos led by the likes of Daniel Kanu and Ojo Madueke were kissing Abachas ass all over the country telling him to transform from military to civilian president. So, tell us, who are the northern slaves here?
4, During the fourth republic, we had just two candidates and both were from the south west but with different zonal backings.
The Hausa-Fulani north backed Obasanjo while Olu Falae represented the southern choice. On the day of election, the Igbos again betrayed the southern trust by voting massively for Obasanjo who was the northern candidate.
Finally, in 2010 when vice president Jonathan was been harassed by the northern cabals who prevented him from acting as the president, who were the people that took to the streets to fight for him? The Yorubas led by Wole Soyinka, Tunde Bakare,Femi Falana etc forced the National assembly to come up with the doctrine of necessity that paved the way for GEJ to become the president. Majority of the Igbo politicians at that time were busy kissing Turais ass. I can go on and on but let me just stop here. You people should stop attempting to rewrite history. The Igbos have been in a servant-master relationship with the Hausa-Fulani since time immemorial. Sentiment apart, these writeup deserves a special award. |

If only GEJ had carried the south-west along, things would have been different. Don't blame the Yorubas, we cried and begged then but GEJ neglected us...We gat no choice than to throw him out. Buhari will perform I have no doubt but his Appointment ain't speaking well for him so far, Nigerians should exercise patience for the Ministerial list |

sameer1212: Seriously I am also disappointed about the latest appointments made by PMB. I was telling a colleagues from SOUTH at work that PMB will be the best thing that will ever happen to Nigeria(I still believe so) but the way things are going, he really need some good advice. There are good people every where. I categorically told a colleague at work that SGF will be an IGBO man and they should read my lips. Mind you, am HAUSA- FULANI man. Kind of sad though Exactly, Nigeria is a multi-ethnic country, everything is sensitive! |

I am a die hard Buharist.
But, after going through the list of his latest appointments, i have decided for now, to withdraw my support for Buhari and be an observer of his Government from the sideline.
Although, i was born in the night, i was not born blind.
I am not happy with the way the appointments into positions, of people that will take Nigeria to Uhuru is going. I come from the South- South, and will be the first to admit that it will be hard to find men of dignity there, but there are some few, like Donald Duke and a select few.
The West ironically, who fought tooth and nail in ensuring Buhari emerges as our President, is not getting any good deal, and i know for sure that there are thousands of people in the West, with integrity and are not corrupt that could fit in into Buhari's Government at any of this capacity he has been putting only people from the North.
Ogbonnaya Onu from the East is an Honorable man, and i was praying he was made the SGF.
Nobody has the monopoly of Knowledge, and there is no way Knowledge and Technocrat-ism by a select few, can be limited to the Northern part of Nigeria only.
Am i pained?yes.
But we Nigerian's, should continue to give our support to him, as i still believe one ASLEEP Buhari is still better than a THOUSAND Awake Jonathan.
I still support Buhari, but i will be at the sideline until all his Ministerial Lists is out.
In addition to these: Professor Pat Utomi, Chris Ngige, Ogbonnaya Onu were far qualified for that position of SGF, I am actually very dissapointed in Mr President, I can't pretend all is well when actually is the other way round. Fellow Change agent we should deem it fit to criticise when necessary Criticism doesn't necessarily means one is an opposition. The Only way Mr President can make amend right now is to make sure is Ministerial appointments are balanced infact should favour the state who are yet to produce any political appointment. Mr President though an honourable man full of integrity should prove is critics wrong once and for all.
I am a well thoroughbred yoruba and a strong member of the volunteer for change during campaign for Mr President, despite that I will not standby and support what is wrong, Whosoever is advising Mr President should kindly desist from doing so henceforth, he is simply dividing these country along religion and ethnic line, a bad signal is been sent, not healthy at all. For now I wish Mr President well....i know he meant well for Nigeria.
God Bless Bola Tinubu God Bless President Buhari God Bless VP Osinbajo God Bless The Federal Republic Of Nigeria |
