Wait a minute, last time I checked, there were 6 states in the South West, not 5.
I find it hard to decipher, if your analysis is a geopolitical one or a Ethnic/Tribal one.
What I see you analyzing up there is Yoruba vs Igbo, not SE vs SW

Who says Yorubas have to be the only people in the South-West? Yorubas are not the only people in the South-West (but they are still the majority there), Lagos is obviously South-Western.... Moreover, by excluding Lagos from the South-West, you are dismissing the entire wealth of all the Yorubas who live there shocked .... under your cunning guise of "cosmopolitaness"
Thank u my brother, if lagos was located in the south east region whe would have been hearing a different thingg. Rubbish people

You haven't answer his question, beside Lagos is the headquarter of south west region same way Anambra is to southeast region,so if u are removing Lagos equaly remove Anambra.

The more i see this Man's picture the more upset i get.

Born into wealth, ivy style schools educated, a British Citizen,pampered all his life,never worked like any of us in his life,anointed to be a Governor by his Dad,ran a Bank aground,and now feels it is his right by BIRTH to be the Senate President.

How can somebody from his background knows what other Nigerians are going through?how can he change our live's as the Senate President when from birth he has never been like us? and so the UNOFFICIAL Monarchy of Kwara State continues the circle of looting and bringing Nigeria to the Ground like he did Societe General Bank.

In a Sane Society this man should be in Jail, and not be the Senate President.

But again who voted him in? Kwaran's who have an identity crisis and don't know if they are Yoruba's or Hausa's. And the other Senators who felt this crazy power drunk man is fit to lead them.

Buhari do the needful, and send your foot Soldiers after this man in the Senate. The Federal Republic of Nigeria is a democratic Country,and not a Monarchy run one.

How can we trade one BIG thief like David Mark to a BIGGER thief like Saraki?

it is clear that the only aim and objective these greedy fellows could agree on was to oust GEJ at all means, now that is achived nothing else seem to be worth holding the center together.
The greed and power tussle between the north and the south west would bring this sham party to its knees!
So far in this unholy marriage, the north seems to be wining with the one sided appointments of their members, leaving the south west pained and feeling cheated. well, the show has just begun, almost a month into the current administration and the nation seems to be on standby as these selfish fellows cannot come together to forge a common front! keenly watching these events in 5D! cool
how has the south west been cheated? Are u telling me South east and south south are not part of Nigeria? Beside Saraki is from middle belt so what the big deal.

There are things that do not take some of us (who have been around for sometime) by surprise.
One of such things is the blunders exhibited by the APC and it's government.
Ranging from those jumbo campaign promises of President Buhari to the Crisis of the 8th National Assembly, to the President's few appointments of putting square pecks in round holes, as well as his inability to make key appointments, let alone the ironically negative publicity of his "zero achievements" in the name of 'reeling out achievements', I think the administration of President Muhamadu Buhari is DIRECTIONLESS!
Why take to photography and irritating publicity?
Why hobnob the whole world with nothing to show?
Why is boko haram killing more than ever before?
I Have lost faith in the present government.
But my faith is unshakeable in Nigeria.
Lovers of this country, lovers of good things join me in this movement: if by One month and 5days, Buhari does not still make key appointments;
A clear cut direction of this administration;
A convincing willingness to deliver by concrete steps and proofs;
Changes in the system, no matter how little;
Reduction of excuses by the President when he is supposed to express remorse, (add yours here, follow Nigerians),
then

PoliticsSaraki Says Senate Ready To Screen Ministerial Nominees by dayo23(op): 1:48am On Jul 01, 2015
Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki has expressed the readiness of Nigeria Senate to screen with utmost despatch ministerial nominees that would be sent to it by President Muhammadu Buhari.

He gave this assurance on Tuesday in his office when French Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Denys Gaver paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

He said though the Upper and Lower legislative chambers were on recess, the Senate would ensure that the recess was suspended as a matter urgent national importance for purposes of ministerial screening if need be.

Saraki noted that “this is to ensure that the suspension of plenary does not disturb serious government business, like the screening of ministers”.

Disclosing the cooperation of National Assembly with the executive arm in fulfilling its promises to Nigerians, the Senate President said there was no limit to what the legislature could do to make sure that the current administration run a smooth tenure for the prosperity of the nation.

Thus, the legislature is ready to treat executive bills with all sense of seriousness it deserves, he further stated.

He noted that the Senate had since commenced work by the setting up of 18-man Committee to formulate a realistic and progressive legislative agenda, which he said would address issues like poverty alleviation, law enforcement, security, commercial disputes, eradication of corruption and investments in the Petroleum sector.
The French Envoy on his part described the crisis rocking the National Assembly as normal and which would at the end of the day produce a viable democracy.
On security matters, Gaver said it would soon be over, while stressing that Nigeria cannot afford to fail because of high expectations of other nations.

Dumb logic. You may want to prove to your readers how these northern appointment did the above. . If it was jonathan that is appointing easterners to sensitive posts right, left and center, even bypassing senior officers as was the case with the Accountant-General, the whole Lagos press will be on fire while Obasanjo will be busy writing epistles. . Is there any study that projects northerners as better managers?. If we are now comfortable with a situation, where the first eleven comes from a fulani family, once the are capable, why didnt we extend same logic in defence of jonahans administration?

PoliticsNiger Delta Students Are Being De-listed From Foreign Universities – IYC by dayo23(op): 11:13pm On Jun 30, 2015
Authorities of foreign universities have started delisting Niger Delta students on Federal Gov ernment scholarship abroad over the failure of government to pay their fees.

This was disclosed by the President, Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide, Mr. Udengs Eradiri, who raised the alarm over the plight of over 6,000 Niger Delta students on Federal Government’s scholarships in some foreign universities.

Eradiri, stated this at a news conference on Tuesday in Yenagoa, appealing to President Muhammadu Buhari and other well meaning Nigerians to wade into the matter to save the students.
According to him, the students’ plight was compounded by the vacuum in the Presidential Amnesty Programme because of absence of an administrator for the programme, adding that the amnesty programme had of recent been beset with a lot of bureaucratic bottlenecks due to absence of an administrator.
He appealed to President Buhari to appoint an administrator for the programme or do whatever he could with “the executive power he wields to ensure that somebody begins to take responsibility in that office”, adding that he had been under intense pressure in trying to maintain the peace in the region because stipends to ex-agitators had not been paid for the last two months.

Eradiri disclosed that he and other Ijaw leaders had been appealing for calm and for them not to take to the streets, nor go back to the creeks, stressing that they had been appealing to them to give President Buhari an opportunity to run government.

“I want to use this opportunity to call on the Niger Delta leaders, well meaning Nigerians and President Muhammadu Buhari to the fact that the cause of the vacuum in the presidential amnesty programme is as a result of the change in leadership.

“It has begun to tell on the lives of our young ones that are undergoing university training as a result of the amnesty programme in various countries – America, United Kingdom, London, South Africa and other African countries where we have young Nigerians.

“These young Nigerians who are undergoing education and training scattered round the world, because of the bureaucratic nature of the programme, the funding used to be month by month, most of the upkeep of the students is usually on a monthly basis.

“But for two months now, the students have not been paid; the financial obligations to the institutions have not been met and so we heard the shocking news that some of the institutions have started delisting some of the students studying there.

“As for the UK, we know that rents are paid monthly and when the stipends are paid, these students also pay their rent. As I speak to you, a lot of them now are being thrown out of their accommodation; they are all on the streets.”
Eradiri said the matter was getting to a breaking point where they could no longer hold the youths back because “we have been doing that with just the word of mouth and the goodwill we enjoy as leaders. But when government fails to do their own part, then very unfortunately, we will not be able to maintain the peace as it was in the last few months.”

PoliticsBuhari To Meet With #bringbackourgirls Group by dayo23(op): 10:16pm On Jun 30, 2015
The #BringBackOurGirls campaigners on Tuesday secured a meeting with Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari, a month since his assumption of duty on May 29.

The convener of the group, Obiageli Ezekwesili, via twitter, said a presidential confirmation of the meeting had been received by the group.

She said, “WE @BBOG_Nigeria have received confirmation of schedule of OUR MEETING with @MBuhari & FG on our #ChibokGirls for July 8th 2015 @ 12 noon.”

On assumption of duty as Nigeria’s president, the group had written requesting a meeting with Mr. Buhari.

The #BringBackOurGirls movement’s several attempts to have such meeting with the past administration failed.

The past administration led by Goodluck Jonathan was criticised over its handling of abduction of the Chibok girls.

The meeting, the group said, will enable the group express their deep anxieties at the failure of the Nigerian Government to rescue the 219 Chibok girls kidnapped from their hostels at a government secondary school Chibok in Borno State.

The girls were kidnapped at night on April 14 by members of Boko Haram terrorists.

The campaigners said the meeting with the president will also help the group understand and contribute to the strategy for countering terrorism, ensuring post-insurgency recovery and other related issues in Nigeria.
