Anyone who knows about European football would know Lazio reached their peak under Cragnotti winning Winners cup, Super cup and Serie A between 1998 and 2001

Assembying one of the strogest side in European football.

Since then how many times have they qualified for the Champions league or even finished top 3?

Everyone here knows this section is about European football so whats the point in including Ahly, Santos, Calabar Rovers etc.

I know about Bundesliga very well

Dortmund first team is

Weidenfeller, Pizzceck, Hummels, Subotic, Schmelzer, Bender/kehl, Gundogan, Gotze, Reus, Kuba/Grosskreutz, Lewadoski

In that line up only Schmelzer and Gotze are from the youth team maybe Grosskreutz

biolabee: u see unfortunately these are parallel views and saga/dk on one hand while fx is the other hand
the former have condemned settlement because it has been misused n abused
However that does not negate the fact that it is useful

I like fx's stating the 10 years. Yes no income but what of the opp cost from lost income which could have been brought in
I see pregnant women going to work everyday, until their 10weeks maternity.

I see mothers at work everyday.

So in which world do people sit down at home and lose income once they become pregnant or in which world do women become crippled for 3 yrs and unable to work and earn income

Those hypothesis are for the lazy women out there.

Tell a Neurosurgeon to lose 15yrs in her career or a Lawyer to lose 15yrs in her career

Most women who sit at home are those that are lazy or have low income careers ab initio

Lazio didn't 'die' after Cragnotti's palava, and Portsmouth is a clear case of gross mismanagement!
Malagas loss is just last year and there is already news that they might be banned by UEFA for defaulting on Salaries

Malaga given European ban for unpaid bills

Malaga have been banned from European competition for at least one season because of unpaid bills.

The suspension will not affect the Spanish club this campaign, as they aim for the Champions League last eight, but any time in the next four seasons should they again qualify for Europe.

Eziachi: Its the early 2000 bandwagon satellite TV football fans. They shout the loudest. In the 80s the only league watch in most African countries and most part of the world is Spanish and German league and late 80s and early 90s come the Italian league. In those day, if you ever see English league on TV its something to do with pool results. And this is coming from a spurs season ticket holder for more than 30 years.

In francophone countries, they watch mostly the French league. Most young people may not believe it that the French league was more popular and entertaining than the EPL in 80s and early 90s with Maisseile, Auxerre and PSG doing very well.

In the 80/most 90s I use to miss Spurs game just to sit at home to watch Italian league on Channel 4 every afternoon. You go to church, you can hardly wait for them to say, Amen, an you jump into the car to watch it because it starts at 12pm.

Until Man Utd's lucky champions league win in 1999 and Wenger arrival in 1996, plus the marketing impact of BSKYB, the EPL was a sh*t league that attracts only retiring or flopped players from Italy, Germany and Spain, just like the Chinese are doing today. But young satellite TV fan of today don't even know that.
Well said.

Anyone who was following football in the late 80's and 90s would know that it was Serie A, Spain and Germany that ruled

Even French league had more rep than the EPL

nitlad: lol at y'all going bonkers on the simplest of tasks! cheesy

Define home grown and put these players in the bracket and let's see how perfectly they fit in!

So far the club claiming to have 'grown you at home' (pardon my diction tongue) isn't where you started out to be a footballer, you are not home grown!
I don't care if the club struck the deal to sign you up with Iya Agbebi or you were older than Pope Benedict XVI before you came on board.

Your history on a particular endeavour (in this case football) must be %100 rooted to a particular place for you to be homegrown in relation to such a place.

Anything otherwise, you simply rose through the ranks!
So tell us how many clubs in Europe that have more than 6 players in their first 11 who rose through the ranks

When she was pregnant was she living on the street or eating sand. Who was providing these things.

And if it wasnt her desire to have kids and get pregnant she would have said it. I bet women want children as much as men so you want to be compensated for helping you achieve your agelong desire.

Go check how many women are doing night vigil to have babies and now one wants money for having kids

Home grown means players who went through the youth system and academy. It doesn't have to mean you took the child from the maternity ward directly

Matthias Sammer - Ballon D Or winner in 1996

Gerd Muller - Ballon D or winner in 1970

Karlheinz Rummenigge - Ballon D Or winner in 1980 and 1981

Franz beckenbauer Ballon D or winner in 1972 and 1976

FXKing2012: She should get a percentage because she contributed a piece of her life by contributing her emotion and her body.

She carried every one of your kids for 9months and went through the very severe pain of being delivered of your babies. All these take a very big toll on her body and she should be compensated if the relationship does not work out.

Contribution should not be by cash alone, there are different ways of contributing in a relationship. Because those other ways can not be easily quantified in monetary terms does not make them worthless.
If the man too was contributing with advise, emotional support, psychological support and other intangibles

then what would there be to split?

She carried the baby because she wanted to fulfill her dreams of being a mother too, Dont make it sound like she did it just to do the man a favour

She contributes her emotions and body Just like the man. Let both contribute emotions and body and at the end of the day split those emotions and body they contributed

One party in addition to the emotion and body saved up money to buy asset and the other without contributing financially wants to split it? Is that not greed and daylight robbery?

Thanks Nwando, CC and Jennykadry

The shocking part is actually the majority of the women who are supporting a man whipping another woman till she bled.

You see the thing with people, They dont have a problem with their husband beating up another woman(never mind his sister) but if the man beats them they would bring down the world

I have said it people only scream injustice when they are on the receiving end and never when they are dishing it out

I am curious to know how the elder sisters husband would act.

If ANY man beat my wife then that day we go enter the same trouser. if na woman to woman then its a case of two fighting.

But a man beat my sister or wife till she bled? Worst case report her to police, i would bail her and punish her appropriately

Like Yorubas would say "Mi o fi egba e le anybody lowo" i didnt put her cane in anybodys hand.

FXKing2012: @jidewin, you raised very good points but pls dont get me wrong. I never said the woman should get most of the assets like the examples you stated, my position is women should not be kicked out of the house empty handed like is widely practised in Nigeria.

Of course why should the woman get the house and pension thereby ruining the man? That's just plain crazy! I think the assets should be shared with something meaningful (not even necessarily up to half) going to the woman.
If she contributes financially to acquiring the asset then i support her getting the percentage of her contribution

if she contributes nothing why Should she get something

samilo88: Al dis pple suddenly hyping d german league baffle my imagination. Come to think of it, how many of u would spend ur hard earned money and go sit in a viewing centre or take 90min out of ur time to watch a bundgesliga match at home. Truth b told d EPL and d bundgesliga aint on d same par. When chelsea was full of shit and languishing at 6th place in d league they still won d champ league on german soil. I know some people would start saying chelsea were lucky, well that's a discussion for another day. Ask ur self, how many german teams besides bayern are seeded first during d champions league draws, or u tink the strength of a league don't come into play when teams are seeded? U can rightly say that d Bundgesliga has produced different league winners in d past couple of yrs so also d nigerian league. How many league challenge can go down d wire even to d last minute of d season like we saw in d EPL last season? I don't hav anything against Pep for subbing d epl but let's not start comparing d EPL to d bundgesliga d EPL is way more competitive. Why do u think Pep still hope he coaches there sometime in d future??
Maybe we should ask in the Champions league how many German clubs topped their groups and How many EPL clubs topped their group?

Dortmund comprehensive beat EPL champions.

Schalke humiliated Arsenal at home, Schalke that hasnt won the Bundesliga in over 50yrs

The EPL went to the last game last season, Do you want us to count how many times EPL was already decided in March? and compare to the number of times Bundesliga was decided on the last day?

I know many Nigerians have this herd mentality and cant see beyond their nose thats why they think EPL is all that

If bayern were to play the EPL it would become a one team league as they would even be more dominant than Man Utd

Rummenigges press conference

press conference today with some info from Rummenigge:

- there will be no presentation of Guardiola at least not in the near future, because Pep doesn't like big shows and he doesn't want to interfere with the current season and Jupp's job

- Pep will stay in New York for the time being, but he is already informed about the club in detail

- he is already learning German since weeks and can speak a little, he asked Kalle yesterday in a phone call "Wie geht es Jupp?" (How is Jupp doing?)

- Pep will bring in two assistants but wants to work with the current personal mostly

- Kalle reiterates if it were only about money, Bayern would have had no chance at all
