afam4eva: Chelsea doesn't have football philosopher and even if the have they dont follow it to the latter. The reason why a Shevshenko or a Torres will not replicate the forms they had prior to going to chelsea is that chelsea does not fit their modus operandi. These players are players that need to be fed and if they're not fed, they can't get the goals. Chelsea is full of Akpu players who play rugby in the name of football. So, if you bring a player that doesn't fit that description, he'll fail. Take a Toress to a Barca for example and see if the windows of goals will not be opened that there will not bee room enough to contain it. Chelsea should always buy their kind of player and not go after every player they see.

Are Mata Oscar and Hazard akpu players too

I say get me the quote where I said Chelsea has a FLUID ATTACK. When everyone and their momma knows they have a plank as a striker. By the time the fluid gets to the plank it becomes a DAM and disrupt the flow. Any half decent striker with MAZACAR would be tearing it up. Give RVP MAZACAR and watch him destroy messis record.

Torres is not the first striker to not hit form in a team.
RDM had Sturridge, Moses and could even do with one young player at times.

Far from a striker's problem is the ability to organise the defence which historically, RDM is not renowned for.
While many camped behind RDM, my opinion was that camping 11 men behind the ball is no evidence of tactical nous.

When the chips are down, only those who can formulate a method of attack and defence will scale through - Torres or not.
