debosky: So the absence of a player tagged 'striker' is what prevented Chelski players from supplying the 'flurry of passes'? cheesy

So even when he's off the pitch, Torres is causing players to run offside, and take up positions where they cannot receive the ball? cheesy

Torres must be a god.
I dont know how I can teach you football again. It cant be surprising anymore since you want midfielders to hit passes into open space just to prove that Torres is not making runs. Even by folahans standard thats stupid. Its stupidd Like "edoyad stupid"

Back to your senseless post here, Common sense dictates that the personnel on the field would determine the mode of play, E.g Vs Juve what would be the use of aerial balls when everyone upfront is less than 6ft contesting against Chiellini? In such games it would be useless for Cech to punt.

There was no striker on the field and the plan was to sit back and counter with short passes. If Chelsea short men upfront were more clinical they could have scored a couple With HAZARD and OSCAR missing decent chances

debosky: If crosses are being pinged into the box with no strikers there, or balls being passed with no-one making the runs, it is very apparent and we can blame the striker for failing to make runs as required. You'll often hear commentators saying 'why was there no one in the box?' or 'someone should be making those runs'. How often is that heard in Chelski games?

You can't even see the passes being made, leading you to question whether those players understand what their striker grin
This is so stupid that even by your standards its disturbing.

A striker is not in position to receive the pass but the midfielder should still go ahead and play it to prove a point. Does that make any sense

So if Torres is in an offside position Mata should still pass the Ball to him in the position

The first chance Sturridge missed against west broom was a long raking pass from Mata. How come Mata can't deliver those when Torres is on the field

That's because Sturridge was making the right run which Torres doesn't make

coogar: you are a tool.....
hernandez receiving the ball is based on delivery(i have never seen MAZACAR hit a 30 yard pass directly into torres' feet) then you mentioned anticipation? what's anticipation? are you aware these players actually train everyday of the week and they work tactics. hernandez upfront with his midfielders deep in their half - of course, he knows any long ball would be aimed at him and he has a chance of scoring because he has at most 2 markers or one marker to beat!

with torres - na lie!
even when ramirez wins the ball, he travels with the ball - delays the pass or gives it to MAZACAR cos ramirez does not trust his precision/accuracy with the long pass. MAZACAR then delays the pass even further with sëxy touches - all this while, the defence has reorganised itself and torres has been crowded out - even if he receives the ball by now, he would run into a clusterfuck of defenders and the chance is lost!
https://i.minus.com/i1jFzu4OCvO6O.gif

https://i.minus.com/ihi7ia36AZGbg.gif

Look at those gifs above You see Hernandez already moving before the ball was played , He wasnt standing like a pillar waiting for the ball to be played to his feet. Thats Anticipation. He was already pulling away from the last man and creating more space for himself, that gives the United midfielder a better chance of getting Hernandez and smaller chance of the defender clsoing up before he shoots

But on the contrary if in the situation hernandez was standing hands on waist like a Model or pregnant woman, The United midfielder would definitely look for other options instead of the statue in front

football is not ambiguous to analyse - only tools blame torres for misfiring. if hernandez were to be a chelsea player - he would struggle to score 5 goals all season and he would be the media scapegoat till he's sold to swansea! the bottom line is - every striker has its own unique attribute - it's up to the midfielders to find what works with their centre forward.....unfortunately, MAZACAR haven't found how to get the best out of torres!
Mata, Oscar, and Hazard have worked with strikers and they are very gifted players. I have seen several times when Chelsea make forward moves and torres is already making senseless moves, MAZACAR just look for one making the run not one running without aim

go and watch euro 2012 again and compare xavi's passes to torres with the dross he gets @ chelsea.
Which passes? The passes that made him a benchwarmer in the tournament? How many of such passes did he score with? Im sure you would tell us during the period Italy was beaten and down

dayo, study those gifs i posted......
use your church mind to measure the position of the ball when the final ball was made. the range is between 25-55 yards from goal. you really think those passes are coincidence? seriously? these things have been drilled in training - why haven't we seen a long pass from MAZACAR to torres and we are 33% of the season gone already? is that torres fault too?
Pay attention, How would there be a long pass when Torres isnt making the needed run for a long pass? or are they just going to punt it anywhere even when Torres isnt making a run? Concentrate

nateevs: On the Torres argument, Coogar endeavours always, to make granular as well as pictorial and interactive analysis where possible. The default state of an intelligent mind is to review his analysis and discuss if they are right or wrong. Instead, it is met by dogmatic, beer-parlour like counter-arguments like "sebi he was bought for £50m", "before it was Malouda and Lampard" and sometimes you just wonder what the point is. You cannot help but conclude, each time Coogar makes a case, he makes sense.

I have not seen anything on a consistent basis from the anti-Torres campaign that engages the mind on a intellectual level. Like Coogar states forever, if Hernandez was a Chelsea player, he won't come close to his tally for United.
Doesnt it worry you that in the last 2 years no midfielder has been able to understand Torres?

6months ago you and coogar assured us that whenever Mata is played behind Torres his issues would be solved, that has been done and he has failed again

Initially you told us Lampard and other mechanical players were the problem that once technical players like Hazard, oscar Mata were bought, the Torres of Liverpool might be back. Till now everything has been done and still failed.

The best midfielders in Xavi, iniesta have been accused by you and coogar of holding on to the ball for too long that doesnt work with Torres.

So someone posting pictures of Hernandez means nothing. Ibime posted gifs of chances wasted by Torres lack of anticipation here.

If you are half intelligent you should see that hernandez getting those balls are 1 Based on the delivery, 2 based on his anticipation. Hernandez would never get those balls if he is working counter to the midfielders, MAZACAR centers the ball but Torres is running to the wings, And you now end up blaming the midfielder?

One thing we see here is Mata, Hazard and oscar have been successful with other players in the last 2 years, Torres hasn't been successful with any particular player / set of midfielders in the last 2 years.

Now deploy your senses and tell us who the problem is with?

Family › Re: Questions For Married Men by dayokanu(m):
WORD!!!

Marriage is hinged solely on one thing RESPECT!!! A man should shoulder his responsibilities fully if he does not want to smell mess. Men should provide what they can, and if they married a decent wife, she will stick with it and things can only get better with her moral, emotional and loving support.

A wife will support her husband by managing what he provides and not being wasteful, by being humble, obedient and submissive, by praying for him and being patient with him, by gently advising him, by keeping an eagle over their children and raising them in the way God and her husband wants. She may not always like his decisions but a woman who submits to her husband always ends up tops, 'cos that's how God made it!! Ladies, if you cannot be humble, pls dont marry. If you find a guy you like but feel he doesnt have enough, pls spare him a life of misery by not 'greeing' for him then start topping up everything he does - he gives you school fees for Govt. school, you top-up and send them to Private school, he gives you money for garri, you top-up and buy sausage. Think, what are you really saying to him? And you think he will love you till death? For reminding him at every point he is expressing sovereignty over his abode that he is still not quite there yet? Not yet man enough for you? And you butress your point with cash? Puh-leeeeze!! You can bet that down the line, he will stumble upon an 'Nweke' who will worship him with his few coins. If you must 'support' your husband, do so only on matters that are not fundamental. Do not 'upgrade' the rent, basic food, the kid's school, etc. Stick with what he can afford. Then within those confines, do your thing if you have excess. Make the 2-bedroom flat he has provided a mini-heaven, dont 'top-up' so you guys can live in a 3-bedroom duplex, then when you fight you start to remind him.........

For the men, If you cannot afford a wife, pls do not marry a wife. If you must, pls marry a woman you can afford to maintain, or a woman who will accept you at your level. Marry a rich girl if you must, but only if she will submit to you, and if you will not touch her money - ever!! It is not a sharp tin or sense to marry a woman for her money. The woman who 'tops-up' will NEVER respect you, not for long, and when all is said and done, she will always look back with regret at what she has 'invested' in you. Run your home like a man, bring home your resources (if you married a Godly wife her blessing will double your resources). Even when you go out with empty pockets your confidence is sky high. Sweat if you must but make sure it is you who puts food on the table, pays the rent and utilities, pays for school fees and every other thing that is basic. Dont give room fo mess to smell.
Like you said in your post above, if you only have money for Govt school but your wife can upgrade it to a Private, You advised us young men not to accept, But if you notice the quality of the govt school is terrible and maybe they are always on strike, fighting, school always shut you would rather your kids stay at home and waste their lives, than let their mother contribute to their education?

So if you can only afford Garri but the doctor told you the health of the kids need more than Garri, you would rather watch them grow malnourished than allow their own mother contribute to taking care of them.

If they are sick and you only have Money for General hospital whose doctors are on strike but if their mother can add money it would take them to a Private better equipped hospital, You would rather watch your children die than allow their mother to save their lives

If you can only afford a face me I face you in crime infested Mushin but your wife can contribute to get a better area you would rather your children grow up among criminals than get a better life.

if it was you alone, I wouldnt have bothered but innocent children who didnt beg to be born might be caught in this malady

how many goals has van persie scored from a set piece in comparison to torres? man utd scored from 2 corners over the weekend, how many of them were scored by van persie and rooney? evra has scored from 2 corner kicks this season - it then means evra is better than van persie? it then means johnny evans is better than rooney? surely fletcher must also be better than hernandez at set-pieces......you see why people think you are a tool?
So Van persie is expected to score from every set piece and Torres not expected to score from any?

mata has only 6 assists in the league.....majority of them are from set pieces which means other players also have equal chance from scoring with mata's assists. on the top of my head, torres scored from a mata assist against arsenal @ the emirates......it was from a set piece!!
Those ONLY 6 assists are the highest in the league. Every striker in the league score from these set piece only FernanDUD is exempted from scoring goals, because they dont serve it to him on a plate

what a stupïd question
has torres ever scored from a mata assist before? that's the million dollar question. mata has only 6 assists in the league - which means he has only created goals 6 times from his passes and 4 of those assists are from set pieces(general market)! how has torres done wrong here?
Torres doesnt score from General market, he can only score from specific market customized to him alone

coogar: is this an argument?
so because mata leads the assists chart means he has assisted torres? how many of those assists are from set pieces? lump the ball into the box and hope a chelsea player(defender, attacker, midfielder) makes contact and score. now what's the probability that scorer would be torres? did you really pass quantitative analysis in your primary school? i don't think you did!
Lump the ball into the box and how come Torres is the only one not benefitting? How come Van Persie who is of similar height and build to Torres scores from set piece headers and Torres cant? In the Chelsea lineup Torres is one of the tallest plays regularly yet cant benefit from set piece headers.

So Mata selects the people he assists and deliberately ignores Torres? If Torres is in position he would ignore him and pass back to Chelsea half for Ivanovic to score because he hates Torres.

Or what are you insinuating? Mata assist others but not Torres?
