bushwailo: SE has the highest Education rate.
Lowest Child mortality rate
Lowest Poverty incidence
Highest in female education
But very BAD Infrastructure

You need to see Lagos during Christmas when the Igbos have left. It becomes a shell of itself.
I think the economic impact of Igbos in Nigeria is under-emphasised and portrayed with Anger and Jealosy.
But I think Igbos bring it on themselves with all their chest beating.
Check this stats from the government here. I can help you with some extract

Oyo state Poverty 51.8% Unemployment 8.9%
Osun State Poverty 37.9% Unemployment 3%
Ogun State Poverty 62.3% Unemployment 22.9%
Ondo State Poverty 45.7% Unemployment 12.5%
Ekiti State Poverty 52.4% Unemployment 12.1%
Lagos State Poverty 48.6% Unemployment 8.3%

Anambra State Poverty 56.8% Unemployment 12.1%
Enugu State Poverty 62.5% Unemployment 25.2%
Imo State Poverty 50.5% Unemployment 26.1%
Abia State Poverty 57.4% Unemployment 11.2%
Ebonyi State Poverty 73.6% Unemployment 23.1%

http://www.nigerianstat.gov.ng/information

Osun Oyo and Lagos State have Unemployment under 10 % and Only Ogun State have over 20%. No single Igbo state has Unemployment under 10% actually 3 of them have over 20%

In terms of Poverty Lagos, Osun and Ondo have Poverty under 50% , While No single Igbo state have Poverty under 50% Ebonyi has almost 3/4 of the people living in abject poverty

No wonder every Igbo man wants to flee the hunger and poverty in Igbo land to the Southwest

Katsumoto: Check out logic. Awo was consigned to dustbin of Yoruba politics
Yet Igbos can not go five seconds without mentioning his name
Yet GOwon sprung him from jail and made him finance minister
Yet Igbos were expecting him to take his Yoruba people on secession to support their adventure
Yet NPN had to rely on a very loose interpretation of 12 two thirds to defeat him in 1979.

Post Awolowos imprisonment He was made Minister of Finance, Contested 2 Presidential election and won in all SW states, His party dominated the Politics of his region in the 2nd republic

HNosegbe: @ Dayokanu I get your point. I have even tried to verify for myself the accurate 1991 population census figures, and I'm getting conflicting results. Check out the following links:

Site 1. http://www.onlinenigeria.com/population/?blurb=550 (Online Nigeria.com, which corroborates the author's story).

Site 2. http://www.nigerianmuse.com/projects/ElectoralReformProject/?u=Nigeria_Census_1991.html (Nigerian Muse.com, which gives a different set of figures).

For instance, while site 1 gives Lagos' population as 5,725,116 (same as that of the author), site 2 gives 5,685,785 for the SAME 1991 census. The figures for Kano are thus: Site 1- 5,810,470 (same as the author) and site 2- 5,632,040.

It's interesting to note that site 1 (which agrees with the author's figures) names the "Federal Republic of Nigeria" as its source, while site 2 (the one with different figures) doesn't give a source.

I'm perplexed.
The site 2 figures are more accurate because I am certain that in 1991 Lagos had a slight edge over Kano in terms of population

nateevs: Hehehe!. I already know you won't find the answer to the question I am about to ask.
Can you find the link - any link at all - where I stated that Lamapard is the "only" hindrance to Torres.
You mean this and last season you havent blamed Lampard for Torres inability to score? At least posters on this forum can verify what you said

Now Lampard has been dropped but Mr Torres still cant score. What is the issue now? Or do you also agree with Coogar that the creative Hazard, Mata and Oscar playing behind him are the problems nowadays?

So what is the latest hindrance to Torres that makes him unable to score

9 league games, 3 CL games 12 games, totaling over 1000mins Mr Fernandud has 4 goals thats 1 goal every 250min or 1 goal every 4 hours
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by dayokanu(m): 8:52pm On Oct 29, 2012
coogar: shut up your mouth and stop arguing against logic
hazard and oscar joined only this season - or were they here in the last 2 seasons? so what's the basis of demanding blood for torres when the team/system/manager/tactics keep changing? he needs time to understand the new recruits - which can only be achieved by more games! it's a tad idiotic to blame torres for what has happened before this season - think before you speak!
How many seasons have Oscar and hazard spent in Chelsea?

David Luiz, Gary Cahill, Mata, Oscar, Hazard

I.e Half of the Chelsea lineup yesterday joined the team after Torres yet its Torres who needs time

Last season it was Malouda, lampard, Drogba, Kalou Sturridge that were the problem, This season Its now Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Cahill etc

We cant blame Torres for his inability to score last season, We cant blame Torres for his inability this season, Its always the other players, coaches, weather, pitch, economy, sexuality thats to blame never Torres

RVP- 7 goals
Demba Ba 7 goals
Suarez 6 goals
Michu - 6 goals
Defoe , Fletcher, Dzeko Most of these players have worse creative behind them yet still manage to score but never the DUD

compare the crisp passes valencia kept laying on van persie's feet to the scraps torres got before his sending off and your useless rants up there would embarrass you!
Less than a year ago you all claimed malouda, Sturridge, lampard and Drogba are the problems with Torres and once they are out Torres would start scoring

Infact When it was only Hazard, mata and Lampard, Nateevs singled out Lampard as the only one in the starting 11 that was hindering Torres.

Now Lampard is out Sturridge , Drogba Malouda and we have extremely technical players yet Torres still doesnt get goals

Now tell us why Torres has continued to be a failure in close to 2 yrs at Chelsea?

ACM10: You are a revisionist a-s-s. Debating with you is like debating with a deaf. You made up your mind before coming into a debate. And you are prepared to cite any analogy to bolster your warped logic. The coupist were motivated by the nationalist zeal. The western region was in turmoil. People were dying everyday. The country was ungovernable. So the struck to restore normalcy. They claim that their aim was to restore Awo back to power. Hardly do they know that Awo was a con politician. His outward character was deceptive.
And like every Igbo man you have managed to convince yourself that of 4 Premiers in Nigeria. 2 were Ibos 2 non Ibos. They killed the 2 non Ibos but miraculously Osadebey and Okpara escaped?

Of the 2 executive leaders They killed the non Ibo Prime Minister but the Ibo President escaped the acting President Nwafor orizu who was Ibo escaped

Of the numerous Ibos in the cabinet like Jaja Wachukwu(In the world of coincidence submitted a resignation letter 12hrs to the coup LOL) and co escaped but non Ibos like Okotie-Eboh were killed

Like I told someone, the problem with Ibos is that they think they are smart and others are stupidd

OP cross check your census figures from 1991

Cos I remember in 1991, Lagos was said to be slightly more than Kano, Now in 2006 they said kano was more

So the figures quoted in the original post cant be correct as it had it that Kano was more than Lagos both in 1991 and 2006

I didnt factcheck others

[quote author=baby_123]This is what is important to you. Do you speak for all men? No. I know many many runs girls very happy and well married to men that know exactly who they are. But the essence of the person is who those men chose to get married to not their pasts. Everyone has their requirements, this is why she has to be careful and look for the right person. Life is not over until it is over and no one should be condemned in such a manner because of wrong decisions. She is clearly aware and remorseful. We dont need to fuel her issues by some how saying she is not good enough, or is a bad person. Not everyone does bad things during the day. Some people have done things that is between them and God. Ask how many people that have been raped in naija uni's who can point out their rapists who are married and did not say a thing to their wives. so what gives? Plese let us be a bit sensitive. If she will pay for her misdeeds, she will in one way or the other. Some women have knowingly married armed robbers and they dont have a problem with it.

^^ My point is that its ideal to know the past of anyone you are trying to get married to.

People marry armed robbers and murderers knwoingly, Not in ignorance.

if you know your fiancee is a criminal nothing stops you from still marrying him, the "crime" is for your fiancee not to tell you before getting married to you
