This is not really a good news, increase in interest rate is bad news for business owners esp the mega business owners that borrow from the banks, Small business owners as well won't see bank loan viable for their business either which means underemployment for some people. High Interest rate don't curb inflation. Nigeria banking system doesn't encourage savings either. What this will do is to decrease demand for goods as people spend less and that in turn will decrease inflation which I don't think will work in this case cos of obvious reasons

Market force is simply Supply and Demand.... Simple Economics. Increase the demand for Naira by bringing in policies that will cause its demand. Floating the naira was a bad move at this time cos we simply have nothing in place to make the policy work. There's so much supply of Naira at the moment that's useless cos it's not in demand. Everything in this country is imported with dollars, we are producing nothing for export except crude and the bank is doing business with it. They sell it to BDC for more profit giving speculators more power to determine its price. Fundamentally and sentimentally everyone is interested in the dollar so all this technical moves by FG is just a waste of time

If Labour party fails to clean itself up, he should leave the party. He does not owe the party and the party must key into his vision of good governance and accountability. This is why he has a cult of followers. We follow him not the party and it's clear that APC is using some people inside the party to sabotage the collective effort of the party. If this continues, it's in his best interest to leave and form his own party if need be and negotiate openly with any party willing to work with him. Don't matter who as far as they are willing to work and serve the people and accountable then you're welcomed.

How are we talking about Civil war at this time in Nigeria when we should talking about remedy to the hunger in Nigeria.
I've made a decision to never engage anyone in tribal/ religious slur of any kind. It's bad that Gowon even at his old age is living in denial instead of making peace with his creator.
How's the civil war an achievement and something to brag about? How does this statement help Tinubu's troubled administration or encourage him? In a time where we should be encouraging national unity an Old man is making such careless statement and some Nigerians are happy about such. There's a reason why history is no longer taught in school so for this Man to be doing this, at this time is him directly trying to destabilize the unity of the nation.
It's sad! And if at all anyone should take glory for winning any war that was totally needles it's Awolowo not him. He's too slow in the head to win a war which was why he begged Awolowo to join his government with the promise that he was going to handover to civilian rule only to betray and renege on his agreement. This haunted Awolowo till death, the man died depressed and unhappy cos he came to realize that the war was needless and shouldn't have happened if not for Gowon's cluelessness and stupidity.
Just look at how Fulani's are ravaging his people before his very own eyes but too slow to talk about it and clueless on how to face the situation. His life is a living hell. He couldn't keep any agreement. Why didn't he say a word on who reneged on the Aburi accord he signed but waited till Ojukwu's death before blabbing?
