It's evident that you're fervently defending Obasanjo, but let's dissect the reality here. While Obasanjo may have initiated some commendable programs like Operation Feed the Nation, his tenure was riddled with shortcomings and failures. As a military head of state, his regime was characterized by human rights abuses and political repression, with numerous instances of corruption and economic mismanagement.

Transitioning to his civilian presidency, the story wasn't much rosier. Yes, there were strides made in certain areas, but they were overshadowed by rampant corruption, electoral irregularities, and a failure to adequately address critical issues like infrastructure development.

Speaking of infrastructure, let's talk about the deplorable state of roads in Ogun State, Obasanjo's home turf. Despite his prominence and influence, the roads in Ogun State remain a glaring testament to neglect and inefficiency. This speaks volumes about the priorities and effectiveness of his leadership.

So, before idolizing Obasanjo as the epitome of Nigerian leadership, let's acknowledge his failures and hold him accountable for his shortcomings. Blaming current leaders for past mistakes is futile if we fail to recognize and address the systemic issues that have plagued Nigeria for decades. It's time for accountability, not blind hero-worship.

Lol... Idolizing Obasanjo for what? I'm concerned with APC government of perpetual failure and you're taking me back to stone age. Stop blaming Obasanjo, that's what I said. He wasn't excellent but he wasn't a complete failure like Buhari and Tinubu. Now u can keep drooling. I said what I said

If we had fought for proper democracy Tinubu won't be ruling us now. We opened the way for him to get there Obi and Atiku included in this mess.

Tinubu has nothing to do with this mess by Opposing subsidy removal since 2003? Staged protest in 2014 along with Buhari in 2014 claiming subsidy was a scam? Joined his fellow local champion by joining his regional AD to Buhari's CPC to create this calamity APC? Drummed for a known failure and went mute and blind to all the attrocities by his partner in crime but went ahead to tell fools he 'll continue from where Buhari stopped? Carelessly announced the "scam subsidy" removal that stopped being scam all of a sudden without plan and floated Naira carelessly without consultation. Was it Buhari that did this too?

Buhari and Tinubu might have achieved the selfish ambitions to the detriment of millions of household in Nigeria but God 'll avenge in his time. As for Tinubu he can never succeed, he didn't let those before him have peace, he'll have none as well and will be remembered no more after just like Buhari is already forgotten and only remembered as a failure.

All those leaders you mentioned created the problems Nigeria is facing today. There is no better one among all of them. They were borrowing money to pay subsidies and support the naira instead of working on building infrastructure, improving power supply, education and building an environment that can foster manufacturing and exportation.

They wasted our resources. You were buying Petrol at #200 you thought they loved you. They destroyed Nigeria's future. Let's see if this one there will be any better.

Yea wallow in your delusion, all of them was bad, none of them tried to removed the subsidy and was called out as a scam and corrupt. Subsidy at a time wasn't beneficial and today those that staged protest calling it scam removed it carelessly with no plan at a worse time but they are the good ones while the former were all bad. The first quarter of your post made perfect sense then you totally polluted it with illogical ramblings and textual display of immaturity... It appears to me that we share the same sentiments on the socioeconomic challenges confronting the country, but somehow you're a genius at misunderstanding things.

Do I need to further engage you, no! From your post, you only prove that you're an individual with low cognitive elasticity.

Go through my previous posts again and see if I'm trying to justify the economic situation or if I'm asking everyone to condemn the looting and prevent a spread of such nasty acts of indiscipline...

Again you can keep gaslighting and fooling around but it won't change the truth. We don't share same sentiment whatsoever with ur political and tribal bigotry and bias. You've repeatedly mentioned Obidients and Igbos in ur post, directly pointing fingers and blaming them and somehow leave out the government u love so much who are the actual cause of the looting and nasty act of indiscipline. You're very callous being and in as much as I won't see you as an enemy, I'll won't want anything to do with you either.
You want Obidients to collectively say something like, oh, we know y'all are hungry but we don't give a damn about that and condemn y'all for looting a government ware house to sooth ur hunger, go and get a non existent job instead and wait to be paid before you feed. This is what you want huh? So the looters and those blaming the government instead of the looters are all Obidients against Tinubu and cos I refuse to be bias and myopic like you, you try to gaslight me with "when they start looting Igbo people shop and houses". Lol.
Get ur meds or whatever will keep you sane cos you're loosing it. We blame the government for failing to play it's part leaving people with no choice but to engage in animalistic behaviors such as the man that killed his own son cos of food. I mentioned this to let you know that your gaslighting holds no water cos you're playing a tribal card in a case that's general to the country. Every region and tribe is going through it and I put it to you that if any warehouse comes to the notice of people in the East they 'll go for it and loot the whole damn thing and I believe this will make you sleep better this night.

I know what you are saying but they took it too far.

Let me explain how wicked we are. I will use the example of pure water. The wholesale price of a bag of pure water was N300 per bag and it was retailed for 4 sachet at N100. Just because the price went up to N350 per bag, some retailers started selling one sachet for N50. Is this not wickedness.

I understand the principle of demand and supply. But we are just too wicked in Nigeria.

I bet you, if western countries decide to process Garri and sell to us, we will buy it at cheaper price than the locally processed Garri.

I understand what you're trying to say but you have to consider a lot of factors involved too.
A woman that sells pure water will always want to make the most out of her business. She has dreams too, she wants nice things too just like the multi millionaire importer. So in the case where the goods she get at #300 before is now sold for #400 she 'll make adjustment too to meet up. She has needs and bills too. She 'll buy garri and she understands that whatever price she got it before won't be the same just like her pure water. Phcn has been increasing tarrifs for what reason exactly considering that there's been no improvement in power and somehow she still has to pay for it, Did you consider PHCN wicked too? The best that can be done to checkmate her is to get a competition that will sell same pure water for #30 to #40 a sachet then she knows she either bring her price down or go out of business. Her choice!

Importation of garri will provide competition for local producers and will always be less cheaper for obvious reasons. Look at rice for example. Imported rice is far better than our local rice but the price is almost the same cos of cost of production despite being of less quality and unhealthy. This is not the fault of the producers but the government.
I did foodstuffs business during my youth service in Katsina and I got to understand a lot of things about business in general. The government refusal to allow importation of food and at the same time failing to provide basic support and friendly environment for local production will make things hard for the citizens and that's what the government is doing.

Okay, since they've now been reduced to "starving animalistic humans" it would be ok for those same people to start looting Igbo businesses right?

You all won't condemn something that's obviously wrong, simply because it suits your political claims and offers you a platform for 'I told you so' comments. Tomorrow, if they start looting Igbo businesses, kindly maintain your stand. Adios. ✌🏾

You can gaslight and muddle around all you want but it don't change nothing. The government is the cause of all this and every region is affected. It was in the East a father killed his son cos of food, ordinary food o, what does that tell you? What father in his right senses will do that? Do you know what that man will be going through now? I'm sure he had no intention of killing his boy but anger induced by hunger can turn a man to an animal. I wonder if you're a Man, I'd understand a woman whipping up emotional and illogical sentiment like this to defend her action as they are averse to accountability but if you're a Man then I feel sorry for ur family if you have one. Leave politics that's given you little to nothing and face reality. The government led by Tinubu is turning people to monsters, all of us whether Agbado, Atikulated or Obidient are feeling it alike, whether rich or poor. And if we fail to hold the government accountable and curb this menace then it will be scary for everyone alike. A hungry man don't give a Bleep about nothing but a succor to his hunger and if he sees you have it, he'll do anything to take it away from you at that moment. That's why even in America where basic amenities is readily available there's a lot of grants, food subsidy and food stamps, child support as well none of which we have in this country but your problem and all you see in all of this is Obidients happy that Tinubu has been a failure so far lol. Igbo this, Igbo that as if it's Igbo that's ruling Nigeria. You'll still blame Igbo for failing to satisfy ur wife in the bedroom, nonsense!

So, the government have warehouses were they store food?

We Nigerians are also wicked to ourselves.

Why are locally produced food items so expensive? There was no draught.

For instance, Garri price has doubled in the past three months? Why? There are no bandits in the south. We would have blamed it in insecurity.

Local government chairmen all over Nigeria should please talk to the farmers. They just can't keep increasing the prices of food items. A marginal increase is permissible. Not increase like 100% in two months. This is wickedness.

Stop talking like an illiterate! Didn't you do Economics in school? You've never been around a business area or done business urself huh? Supply and Demand is averse to garri according to you now huh? Inflation is hitting everything, Naira keeps depreciating and you expect garri price not to appreciate huh? So when and if the farmers sell it to you below what they should, they'll go on to get fuel, light, cars, clothes, food, health care, school fees at a cheaper rate cos they sold their garri at a cheaper rate innit? These same set of people would blame the government for insecurity if it happened to them and that shows you the kind of toxic politics most obidients are into...

Lol.... Wisdom is that you?
Obidients is the government that reduced her citizens to animalistic tendencies by starving them with their reckless and ill thought policies? What do you expect people to do in the face of hunger and starvation with no hope in sight? Sit down and wait for death or watch their children die? Everybody is feeling the impact of the failure and lack of tactical leadership by this government. Most of this looters are uneducated and unemployed who can't afford even garri with their artisan job most of whom voted in this same government that's inflicting them with hunger.
You don't care about this people and how bad it must have been for them to take such drastic decision but it's Obidients that's your problem.

For those of you supporting this rubbish, I hope you don't complain when the hen comes home to roost. They have started with Govt. Warehouses and have move to stealing people's goods in truck, goods either bought on credit or someone's hard earn money and you're laughing about it and making a joke of it saying it is hunger. I hope when they start breaking into your shops and homes you will still understand it's hunger? We were in South South when Militancy started and they were kidnapping the white expatriate people laughed it off and said it's just the white, they don't kidnap black people because they are our sons, the white began to go back to their country and when there where no more whites to kidnap they started kidnapping their so called black brothers who worked in oil companies, people still laughed it off that they only kidnap oil workers, when oil companies began to leave they started kidnapping rich men, people started saying they only kidnap rich people, today everyone is a target weather rich or poor nobody is spared. Same thing happened in the North with Boko haram, same thing in the east with UGM, here we are again cheering this looters. I hope when they start breaking into the homes of your age fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, cousins, uncles and aunties. I hope by that time we will also understand it is hunger?

You are being too emotional and sentimentally biased, leaving out the cause and seeking effect. This is women way of thinking and if you're a Man it's sad cos you clearly lack the intelligence and capacity to lead.
The said looters is just two people but almost a community, secondly those involved are majorly youths resident in the area, thirdly they were in Mass. Now you can deduce that they are not thieves, they were not armed either. They simply went in their collectively in broad daylight to take the wares and that tells you they at that moment believed whatever is in the warehouse was theirs. That's an animalistic tendency brought out by hunger. Have you ever been or have children hungry with no hope for food? If you've ever been in such situation then you'll understand that at that moment you'll be conditioned to the level of an animal and it's only at this level you can survive cos in this state you'll do anything. So whatever sentiment you're whipping up to defend ur argument makes no sense. I pray you don't get to meet a hungry man in a survival mode, he won't spare you and he sees whatever you own as his. That's what this government is doing, conditioning people to be animals by inflicting them with hunger. Crime rate 'll soar if this is not curbed so instead of dissipating energy on futility call the government to attend to the need of the people by providing them with the basic things. Food should be affordable, as well as transportation and healthcare, if this is in place only criminals will be interested in looting warehouses and shops. I consider you a wicked soul from ur perspective in this case. It's callous to label a community thieves and taking sides with the government that reduced them to such animalistic condition.

I feel really bad for Benue and Jos, this two beautiful state with beautiful people are going through a lot on this country but you won't see hypocritical Islamic people condemn their blood thirsty jihadistic uncircumcised terroristic brothers to stop killing innocent people but when one Hamas terrorist member die in Palestine they start convulsing up and down this forum constituting nuisance. In as much as they were the major players of the Nigeria civil war who shot our fathers for demanding freedom led by Gowon, I still love them. I wonder why Gowon is doing nothing to rescue his people instead of causing disunity by reminding us of how he committed genocide aided by Awolowo whom he betrayed after using him to achieve his evil aim.
I pray God delivers Benue and Jos from the hands of Muslims that want to take away their state like they did in Kwara and covertly in Kogi. Islam is not a religion of "piss" and plz avoid them by all means.

Arabic Bias Islamic jihadistic media trying so hard to gain sympathy... Y'all was rejoicing when Hamas started this rubbish, none of the Arabic countries condemned their actions, now the Jews is giving it back to them they're busy looking for sympathy. Just like Muslims in Nigeria who claim to be "pissful" never condemn the heinous acts of bandits, Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen. They are the cause of insecurity and food scarcity in the country not Niger Delta militant or Ipob but they're always absorbed back into the society, sponsored to study abroad while others face shoot on sight despite causing little to no harm to the public. Lol.
I'll beg Israel on ya behalf when Islamic terrorist stop killing my fellow Nigerians. Hypocrites littered on this forum busy sympathizing with terrorist in faraway Palestine but don't give a damn about their fellow Nigerians cos they are infidels to them. Y'all are cursed!

These shouldn't have happened! Is man a cause to humanity? With all the knowledge and natural resources at human disposable, why must it be used to cause havoc to humanity!

You were jubilating when Hamas started this madness, today you're looking for sympathy. Hypocrite!

Business / Re: FOREX Crisis: FG Slams $10 Billion Fine On Binance by Daystar7: 2:51pm On Mar 01
Ibrahimcoomasie:

1. Yes they would be allowed after stringent policies are put in place by the binance.

2. No. The financial regulatory organization of your country does not need a court ruling to slam fines on financial institutions. Fines are regularly slammed on Nigerian banks.

3. CBN, SEC, or Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria

Displaying ignorance with so much arrogance won't make u sound smart. If things is done like that then the US wouldn't bother gathering evidence against binance for 7 years. Nigeria has no case against binance and binance isn't registered in Nigeria. I don't understand how u comparing banks in Nigeria to binance that has no business with Nigeria. The worst Nigeria can do is to ask them to remove the Naira from their platform which they've done.
