Could this be the reason for the recent quietness from CIC? It has been like this for like a day now after their "maintenance notice" over the weekend.

Hope CIC is not trying to act funny with this quietness after medical passed. I noticed most people got medical mail exactly a month after application i.e applied 9th October medicals 9th November.....



Has any October applicant received approval mail or refusal mail?

Try signing in via MYCIC account..I think you can get into your app account but the problem is with new applicants who can't apply online..

Our govt. has to come to the aid of ordinary Nigerians, it is so so sad for one to waste 28-48k and more for logistics such as transportation, hotel accommodation and feeding for the three days one will be out of his/her place of residence. Spending more is crazy and I think it is a daylight robbery of helpless Nigerians. This ugly trend has to change and govt. should not allow any foreign govt. exploit us in our own land.
To all TRV hopeful including myself I wish us luck and God's favour, even after Medical passed, it ain't no longer certain, but we will clap back at last.

Sorry brof I totally understand how well it may hurt but let's look critically into this..I don't think refusal after medicals should be addressed as quoted by you on the bold considering the fact that no foreigner owns those medical facilities plus it's not only the Canadian embassy that use some of these facilities for health/fitness assessments,(I may be wrong though), Consultant practice assess applicants for American embassy as well, so I don't think it's nice to say they are exploiting you, a visit to the Canadian embassy, it's stated clearly, Canadian Visa is not your right but a privilege. So my guy we are at their mercy and ofcourse God, I think there may be some errors which was spotted last minute after your medical passed..Or there was a change in VO that did another assessment on your docs and didn't find it appealing to them..Just package your app very well this time, and ask God to intervene...

Send a mail about doing biometric yet not updated on your MYCIC and include the biometric ID number (found at the back print out receipt offered at VFS) to question@cic.gc.ca, they will update your account immediately.

Wth respect to my previous quote, I was delayed based on length of stay and purpose of visit.
My length of stay was meant to be 8 months nd it's PGD
I want to reapply and I think I shld not fly blindly.
Even at that does it means I stand a better chance if I got to know the VO's real comment.
Bearing in mind that I am only reading comment and not the vo's mind .
And am sure I will have a new vi responding to my request and I hardly see people requesting for the gcms stuff.
Please I need an advise on the price, Turn around time to get the gcms file upon my request.

I dont have anyone there, only my hommie, and he thinks its because i didnt include any university academic qualifications thats why the family tie in canada and country of residence came up, the V.O expect you to have someone over there if you are going for undergraduate. I stand to be corrected though, i think with the PGD like they all said, i should be fine

I was delayed last month for the second time, i was going in for an Undergraduate program. And the reasons were, personal assets and finance, purpose of visit, hometie in Canada. All i have to say is, all those who have recently been delayed shouldn't be discouraged, cross your T's and dot your I's and refire. For me i was stubborn with the undergraduate thing. My friends warned me to take a PGD, but i just feel say i go chop 2 years TRV. Well i now have a January 016 PGD, and i am hoping to refire. Just want the Gurus in the house to help analyse the following documents which i have to submit via Paper route come September first week.

6m will not cover course of study for adv diploma for one year? Which kind talk be that? Pls my guy in my own opinion, you need to put in more documents like personal statement of account, study leave letter from your firm, introductory letter from that company also..Then convincing SOP..telling them you have been working since after NYSC, also tell them you intend coming back to Naija when you are true with your studies. And show how what you are going to do relates with your present graduate internship.

Yes it is but am just worried since the new Passy is not up to 6months old according to RUMOURS. Ottawa is too far for me if I intend to use the old one to apply which expires Mar016.

@mrnilobrawn can one use a brand new passport issued today for Visa application? Because the immigration lady says she can give me same biodata but it will come up as a brand new and not renewed passport which means I will take a headshot again, my worries can I use it for my application at the beginning of next month?

I intend apply for Study Permit with my passport which expires March 015. I have admission for September. I want to know if I can apply and get my study permit and if I can renew over there without coming to Nigeria, if yes, will my Visa exceed expiry date of passport? And will I get an extension on the new passport if i am able to renew over there in Canada. A lady at the immigration service said she can help get me a fresh one and not renewal because it's not yet 6months to expiry when they are only authorized to renew passports but someone says I can't apply with a fresh Passport that's not 6 months old..Please anyone with ideas on this? Is it possible to travel with a fresh Visa as I intend to apply for Study permit the month end or do I apply with my old one? Thanks
