A resolution seems to have come to the missing certificate
saga of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential
candidate, Muhammadu Buhari as the United States
Army War College has confirmed that he indeed
graduated from the institution in 1980.
The school’s Public Affairs Officer, Carol Kerr confirmed on
Thursday, January 8, that Buhari had been awarded a
diploma (a certificate) from the college.
The information was sent via email in response to an
enquiry made by US-based Nigerian, Sunday Iwalaiye

It will be recalled that controversy arose over Buhari’s
academic credentials after he was described as “semi-
illiterate” by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and failed
to present his certificates to the Independent National
Electoral Commission (INEC) saying they were in the
possession of the military board. Barely a month to
Nigeria’s presidential election, the Independent National
Electoral Commission (INEC) has asked the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) to go to court over the controversy
surrounding the educational qualifications of the
presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress
(APC), General Muhammadu Buhari (Retd)
