Congratulations to you and yours Time2soar1: Hallelujah! God has done it. Got PPR today after almost 10 months
Timeline
First application refused January 29th 2021
Second application submitted May 22nd 2021 Eligibility started May 31st 2021 Ghost update June 3rd 2020 Medical expires August 2021 New medical updated to pass September 2021 Correspondence letter March 3rd 2022 PPR March 3rd 2022 Age over 50 years
First refusal reason was purpose of study and personal assets and finance. In my reapplication, for purpose of study I used sub categories in my statement of purpose such as introduction, why the program, why the school and a specific section on the purpose and benefit of the study. Though I stated all this in the first application I emphasis it more in the second application.
For personal asset and finance, I submitted bank statement and mutual fund investment letter like the first application but this time I liquidated part of my mutual fund investment into my bank account to make sure the money in my bank account is more than the total money I budget for the study for myself and my family then I sent MBS of the bank account and then a new investment letter with the outstanding fund in my mutual fund investment. I also attached valuation report of my land.
Most importantly I prayed to God for the approval. I give God all the glory because after the first refusal I almost gave up because I though age is against me. More so, I have two Masters degree already and I am going for another Master program but I committed it into God hand and He came through for me.
While waiting I requested GCMS twice but nothing was in them, eligibility shows "review required"
I hope this encourage someone. |

This is not true i used paymytuition to pay my schoolfees via form A and i had no issues. amiecandie: Write to school and request for their direct account number which has NBCC as account name. Paymytuition uses a third party not recognised by CBN. Third party recognised by CBN are like Western Union business solutions and I can't remember the second. MFTX which handles paymytuition is not recognised. When the school provides a direct account ,you can now process via Form A from any traditional bank. |

Exactly my thought. If your application is less complicated i think it’s always faster. At least a Dec 10 applicant that got refused few pages back used the GCKEY. And i know someone that used the new portal since November no update till now. Teemenzo: It's right to say but not completely true. The truth is there are no complications in their applications.
I know of someone who used new portal, eligibility review has started and her app will be 3 months by the end of this month. So not completely true that the new portal is faster. The VOs just decided to dispense applications with less attachments.
Tjank you |

My sister we have seen people with superb credentials on this thread and they got denied, this visa thing is a game of luck atimes. A moniker shared her ppr story few pages back an agent scammed her of over 2m naira for visa without a positive result. So that your 2m fees see it as playing safe, someone already advised that you should apply for visit visa for hubby then apply for SOWP within Canada. Best of luck in your decision . MsLoolah: Yes I figured no one has a definite response for me other than asking me to spend 2.7m on an education I wouldn’t be able to transfer or use in the future based on fear I might not get the visa. I didn’t get the first visa based on luck, I got it based on my credentials so honestly I don’t see a reason why I shouldn’t get it again.
I would definitely update on the decision I make and the outcome for people who are in my predicament in the future.
Thank you |

Congratulations. God i tap into this speed oooo chaiii buchito1: LONGGGGGG POST ALERT!!!
Guys I really do not know where to start from! I'm short of words. God's just too good to fail. I'm still in shock cause I can't really fathom why my application was this quick or why I was just favoured, but I give God all the glory! For he alone is to be praised!
I've been following this thread for about 4yrs now. Just observing with no plans to submit my application. Was just here for the information basically, and to read people's process (which I enjoyed doing) didn't even know I'd eventually apply. Time came for me to apply, I was scared to the Bone! I was scared to doing it myself! My sponsor (brother) literally begged me to look for an Agent to handle my application, I was skeptical at first, but I succumbed cause I didn't want any issue or stories that touch.
I contacted an agent on this platform, he charged me 150K for admission and 250K for Visa. My sponsor agreed to pay for the first stage (admission). Las las I eventually paid 190K for only admission!!! Only school admission ohhh!!!
Then it was time for Visa Application, and I was told Visa Fee has increased to 300K. And I was like hell No!!! I no go school? Am I daft? No! I can do this shi# myself. 300K no be 300 naira.
That's how it began, took a leap of faith and decided to do and handle my Visa Process myself, and God blessed me with the GOLDEN Mail (PPR)! Guys please do this stuff yourself! You can do it! Yes YOU! You can! There's nobody else that cares about your application than you! You don't need any agents NAIRALAND is the real deal! NAIRALAND taught me everything I know and used to get my Approval.
I'm a FIRST TIME APPLICANT, my timeline goes thus, I used the NEW PORTAL,
Upfront Medicals - 22nd November 2021 Application Submitted - 29th November 2021 Biometrics Completed - 3rd December 2021 (updated same day) Upfront Medicals Updated - 6th December 2021 Then the wait........................^_^ Eligibility Review Started - 25th January 2022 Then a good man, a blessing, friend turned brother, a brother from another mother, Teemenzo (God bless you for me brother, he has always been with me from the beginning of my application) adviced me to send a mail to Abuja which I did, I eventually, reluctantly sent to everybody (London, Nairobi, Lagos, Abuja) yesterday, 26th of January just to disturb then. Lo and behold, today, Correspondence Letter and PPR letter - 27th January 2022 (Basically my application took 1 month and 28days)
DOCUMENTS Submitted (APPLICANT) - SOP International Passport Receipt First Semester Tution Deposit (7900 CAD)
Letter Of Acceptance Gift Deed (Notarized) Screenshot of Gift Deed My Bank Statement 7 months. (I formerly had 1.6M in my account , with extra 4M as Gift Deed making it 5.6M I had in my account as at time of submission.) Transcript BSC Certificate Police Certificate NYSC Certificate Reference Letter from Bank Affidavit of Return (Notarized) Local Government Identification Letter Parents and Siblings and My Birth Certificates Reference Letter from my PPA during service WAEC Result Covid-19 Vaccination Card Pictures of me and Sponsor. Pictures of me and Sponsor with my family. (Both new and old) Upfront Medical Slip Driver's Licence NIN Slip
SPONSORSHIP DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED - MBS Company Account (6 MONTHS) CAC Registration of Business Name Certificate of Identification Number Sponsorship Letter (Notarized) Affidavit of Sponsorship (Notarized) Reference Letter from Bank Birth Certificate NIN Slip Driver's Licence International Passport Landed Property's, (Sponsor has like 5 Landed property. Submitted all and their Deed of conveyance Business ID Card Invoices, Tellers, Receipts, of Business.
In all, it's been God. God did it for me. And he'll do it for everyone here. Cause he knows why we're here and what we're looking for.
I'd also like to use this medium to appreciate Teemenzo and EyinjuGod. God bless you guys again for everything. You were with me from the start to the end. I'm rooting for you both. My prayers aren't complete yet, till y'all get your PPR's
I also want to appreciate Makano for the series of questions of mine he answered. God bless you boss. Ketima, thank you for always assisting and encouraging everyone. You actually encouraged me to do this myself and I appreciate, Scotisshh (dunno if I got the spelling correctly) your testimony dey come. Lianna aka Rela, thank you for your encouraging email replies. I also want to thank you all, my fellow Nairalanders for the congratulatory messages and mentions.
If I decide to reply all mentions, I might fill up 5pages of this new thread. God bless you all. I'd also be here to congratulate y'all when your turn comes. All of us go enter this Canada! That's for sure!
BTW, I'm for University Canada West, April intake. Going for MBA Business Administration. I'm open to connecting with my fellow UCW students or anyone going to Vancouver by April. Make i stop here. Story don too plenty! Thank you again guys. God bless us all.! |

You need to select USD as currencuy and fill other part of the form. print the payment instructions and use it to apply for FormA at the bank. Form A is the cheapest way to pay Filanodivine: Hello everyone, for those that got admitted to Thompson rivers university TRU I wish to inquire how you paid your school fees before getting the Letter of Acceptance for Visa Application. The paymytuition pathway they offered has a very high exchange rate value so I’m asking how others paid theirs. Please it’s urgent, thank you. |

Stanbic ibtc does My bank statements login through your online banking platform they dont do it on the mobile app. I used MBS from stanbic and i didn’t have to go to any branch Lani84: Hello friends! Happy New Year! May this year favour all of us.
I am curious about what the VO sees when you use a MyBankStatement...Stanbic IBTC doesn't do it. Do you set a specific period that they can see or do they choose when they want to see? Do they see all your transactions or just the balance?
Thank you guys! |

Thank you for this. At least this is consoling. Infact that thread ehnn…. Someone even said the OP lied in the application by saying non accompanying . Imagine Lianna2020: Exactly, I applied alone and used them as home ties. When I was approved , I travelled to get my sin and permit then applied for them.
In my loe explained how my spouse has his business and will be coming and going as his business can be managed virtually and also Said that the reason why I needed my baby was because I’m a new mum plus ppd taking a toll on me.
I also addressed how I still have siblings and family to go back to and how my studies will help his business. I used our land and incomplete building as ties to show we r not absconding from our country. I added how he can’t leave his business for an extended stay in Canada.
I’m certain the person’s loe didn’t address hometies or simply wasn’t wrtitten well.
Ignore people living in Canada , when I wanted to apply for my family, it was the same fear and stories that it will be misrepresentation until I spoke to eddyossam and he said it won’t be as intentions can change.
If you later apply for family , you must still prove hometies, that’s where a good loe comes in.
Because of how toxic “living in Canada “ thread is, I don’t go there, I rather make my mistakes and learn on my own than go there to receive insult.
I had to go check what they were saying and I didn’t expect anything different. |

This was what @Lianna did o and was successful .we know that no two applications are same but reading all those comments on living in Canada thread now got me so worried. Pls the gurus @Justmellow @makano and the rest are we supposed to answer YES to the Questions "is this family member accompanying you to Canada "? Pls i intend applying for my children once I’m approved. I’m really worried walahi. sweetchi2411: Hello Lianna, hope you and yours are coping well over there.
In your own case (correct me if am wrong pls) you applied alone using your husband and child as part of your home ties right? After you travelled, you now applied for them. I guess that's what the poster did and I am preparing to do that too but when I saw her post, I became scared.
Can you throw more light on this because if we say our family was not going to accompany us and after landing, we apply for them, can that be seen as lying? Some people on living in Canada thread are saying so. |
