I don't think the vigilante got to this particular location o..

Good day ,

Please can you advise better on the soundproof generator commonly referred to as Korean Perkins?

Who manufactures the engine inside this generator?

Is it as durable as the likes of Mikano with UK PERKINS engine and will you advise I buy it?

I have attached some pictures of the generator for your reference.

Thanks.

My honest observations below.

To me, this gen in the picture looks like it's locally fabricated or like it's a very old engine that was refurbished and resprayed. (I may be wrong)

The two hoses at the bottom left are the first to raise my suspicions. The sharp green colour is next.

I'm not a pro at this, so I may be wrong but personally I would stay away from this gen set especially if advertised as NEW.

Lagos (through epe) - Ijebu Ode - Ore - Benin - Asaba - Enugu - Ebonyi (Afikpo) - Itigidi - Ugep - Calabar. This took a total of 14 hours and the little corolla did well. It's a long journey so make plans to fly back if you can.

Thanks a bunch boss.

use the required engine oil weight for servicing 5w20

Whenever you want to service your transmission, use the recommended honda dw1 transmission oil.

Pay close attention to sounds coming from the two front tires, so you know when you have a bad ball joint and replace immediately with honda oem ball joints.

I have driven the 2003-2007 models for about 7 years now and once I have a bad ball joint, I know.

Use the recommended honda power steering fluid too.

For fluids and oil you can always get them from persons on nairaland, even when you can't get it around you.

Well said.

For fluids, don't compromise.

Thanks everyone.
Came back today.

This was my route..
Lagos - Ibadan - Ilesha - Aramoko - Ifaki - Omuo - Kabba - Lokoja - Abaji - Abuja

12 hrs (inclusive of all breaks,... Refuelling, Feeding, police stops, and Lagos-Ibadan road construction traffic jam).

it's like you have travelled out of Lagos for a while grin anything that makes you leave Lagos by 6am, just know that

Lagos to the oduduwa round about if you are passing through southwest is 6hrs extra 3hrs added

Lagos to Ore is 5hrs if you intend to pass the Edo state boundary road.

you can't predict traffic if your car is in good condition I advice you move around 3am or 4am, to beat the estate to mowe traffic park at Danco filling station and wait till light up to continue your journey

Alright.
Thanks a bunch

nurey:

There is only always traffic at J4, sometimes it can last for 3hrs and the root cause is

1. Police/Army/NSCDC/FRSC used that area for check point

2. The road construction is ongoing exactly at that spot

3. There is only movement at one side of the lane with a narrow bridge. sometimes trailers have to pass one at a time, believe me there are tons of trailers on that road

4. if accident occurs which is a very common occurrence traffic is bound to occur if the accident is between big rigs, then, the traffic is lockdown style

The road is mosty freeway express especially when you leave ijebu ode with smooth road, you can even finish your speedometer there grin, the road is equally safe no highway robbers Even when I transverse in wee hours but police are obtainers for the road even to private vehicles

Thanks for the heads up @nurey.

On a normal day, Lagos-Abuja journey is like 10-12 hrs. I'm hoping to avoid that extra 3-hour delay.
To those who have done this journey recently, please which route did you take?

Dear Gazzuzz,

Please I'm hoping to do this Lagos-Abuja journey soon. Do you still think this ibadan-ilesha-Akure route is best at present?

I'm hearing there is a persistent long delay between Sagamu and Ore these days.

Looking forward to your reply.
Thanks in advance.

If it's not your fuvking business, then is it your kissing business?

If it's not your fuvking business, you wouldn't have posted it.

You chop meat and you are complaining.
You just visited; you don't know how your brother trouser pocket don tight for this Covid-19 brouhaha.

No let that good woman curse you o.

The best thing is to call NCDC to quarantine you. Whether you go see meat chop for isolation centre.

Interesting reviews.
So which of the other available product will you deem more efficient and can be recommended to people?

Baba, the reviews people post on Konga and Jumia are usually immediate or few days after payment. So at that time, the hardness of HARDEX is yet to hit hard.

Try contacting them 4 months after. Will the story still be the same?

a nigeria used honda accord 2007 for 900k and a 2009 model evil spirit for 1.25m.

which of them is a good buy??

For the cars themselves, specs, reliability, they are both very good buys.

For the price, I personally feel that each could still be slightly negotiated. Just my opinion and I may be wrong coz I haven't seen the particular cars.
But keep in mind that, for a well maintained vehicle, the owner will certainly not sell at the average price. Hell no.

For Nigerian used cars, determining a good buy would involve physical inspection of both cars.
How well did the previous owner maintain it? Look in the engine bay, are there wires flying around? Any serious oil leaks? Has any system been bypassed? Eg. brakes, ABS, radiator fans, thermostat, etc. Check the condition and level of the fluids (engine oil, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, brake fluid).
Test drive it. How does it feel? (acceleration, braking, gear shifting, steering). How is the suspension? Any clinks, clunks, rattles or thuds? Is the CEL on? Scan it. What are the error codes? etc.

Cheers

It’s a good car. The transmission is smooth. It’s heavier than your regular Toyota. You would feel the weight on the steering at full speed.

I drive one and I can tell you that maintenance is key. It won’t disappoint if you get a well maintained Honda Accord

I got an EOD. I have never felt the weight on the steering though.

Yes, maintenance is key. Use the right (recommended) fluids only. Change them when due.
