@ coogar. In 2005 u 20 messi was top scorer and best player. In 2006 messi was a sub 4 argentina. He came in and in less than 20 minutes scored one of the best goals in the tournament. In 2008 messi won the olympic gold and was player of the tournament. In 2010 messi was directly involved in 7 out of argentina's 10 goals, he was argentina's best performer and top 10 best world cup performers. In 2011 he was argentina's best preformer assisting 3 out of their 5 goals. This is messi's noble achievement for country. Cristiano will never match this in his lifetime. |

I appreciate that evryone cannot love messi. If pele was playing today critics would say he didnt win the champios league, maradona? They would call him a drug user. This whole stuff in infuriating. Whenever the haters want to diss on barca they say madrid is better than barca and will win barca but when they want to diss on messi they say barca is better than madrid thats why messi is good. Madrid matches barca player for player if not more. The difference is that messi always comes up with some magic when they clash and that is always what cr7 fails to do. Whenevar cr7 starts comin up with his own magic then madrid will trash barca. |

What more can i say to this coogar of a guy? He's acting like he's got a software on him or something. This whole sh*t is logic, common sense, but you know what they say about common sense not being so common. Maybe i need to go get a map or draw up a picture. Seriously it makes me feel so stupid but then i want us to do it however u want. Simply messi has 100 goals, ronaldo 86. Dont act like ure programmed be pragmatic. The appearance are irrelevant here simply because messi's appearances get high becos he plays further in the champions league unlike cr7 who goes out in round 2 and iam sure ure intelligent enuff to know that goals dont come easy in the latter part of the champions league. @ dademola, no one would say that the spanish squad with their talent from defence midfield to attack depends on messi. But i would bet my smart money on the fact that with messi in that team, that spanish team would score much more goals than they do. Argentina has up to 8 world class attackers but an average midfield and an average defence. That will never win them the world cup. If you truly watch argentina's matches and yu still sincerely call messi flop then yu have to cross check what flop means but i know for sure like riquelme said recently messi is still always the best player out of the bunch. You alone have decided to leave age tournaments out. I refuse to do that. @dademola, already we have had two barca games this season. Their biggest possible games. Xavi- 0 goal 0 assist, iniesta- 1 goal 0 assist(messi gave him the goal), messi - 3 goals 2 assists. But later on when the dust haze settles and everyone else is going about their normal business you would still sneak attacl and proclaim that messi is nothing without xavi and iniesta. |

coogar:how can you talk about swapping. this is the first in my life hearing you have to swap players in order to compare them. can roaldo sneak in between defences in very tight quarters like messi does? can ronaldo give those defence splitting passes from the mid field? no way. is there any player in barca who has the same pattern as ronaldo( hard shooting, speed and leg overs)? no way. so how can u swap them? how would he fit into barca's pattern? |

i sincerely think football would be a nicer and sweeter sport if there were no body contacts at all. if body contacts could be eliminated entirely. if you like how madrid plays barca then you're into the wrong sport. just play the football and show your skill. anyone saying barca players should play like men simply because the madrid guys want to bully the little players is a p*ssy. it's a pity we are kinda faceless on nairaland. we dont know each other and we cannot see our faces when we make comments. i bet people like mama gee can not look into anybody's eyes and make the sorts of comments they make. |
