Hi all, will I be required to submit my birth certificate at any point?
I lost the original copy of it years ago but I have a photocopy and an affidavit.
Birth certificate is needed only if you’re claiming sibling points. If you aren’t, you wouldn’t be required to submit your birth certificate at any point.

Big congrats to you. More breakthrough I pray.

Please was it Hong Kong that issued your PPR or Accra? My secondary VO also is HongKong. I was given ADR since Nov 2 and submitted same on the same day but it has not even be reviewed. I called, the agent told me the ADR has not been opened by the officer and can't determine when it will. Accra is my primary VO. My worry is I have not seen anyone in any group that their ADR submitted and it took over 2 months and not yet reviewed. What do you advise?
Accra issued my PPR, Hongkong only worked on my file. What I did when I got my ADR, was sent numerous webforms and direct emails to Hongkong, attaching the ADR document. Also, you’re right, it’s strange that your document hasn’t been looked at yet. Please send direct emails to Hongkong attaching the ADR document, quoting your application number in the email. When I got my RPRF ADR on the Dec 11th, I sent a lot of emails (about 5-6) to HK, webforms also after I submitted the receipt cos I didn’t want to take chances. My RPRF receipt was acknowledged on the 18th and PPR email dropped the following week.

PLEASE I NEED YOUR HELP...

I updated my work history, only to find out my profile is now ineligible.

My initial NOC's is in class A both...

Updated work experience is in class B.... and have at least 1yr working experience.

This a sequence of event for clarity,

First, when profile was created 5yrs work exp. and second job 2yrs all in class A.

Initially couldn't get job ref letter from my first job in an insurance company so didn't bother when creating my profile... now there's a new HR and agreed to give me reference letter. Also, updated a new job which just ended last month (NOC A).

I don't understand why my profile went from being eligible to ineligible?? pls how do i fix this?

kindly advise
Just create a new profile. Once a profile becomes ineligible, it can’t be fixed.

Hello everyone,
Sorry I'm new here. I don't know how nairaland works, I don't know how to make a comment too on my own, so i just tagged the first comment I saw. Sorry about that.

I'm not really new with the express entry/pr application. I submitted all my details Dec 2019 and did my medicals and biometrics Jan 2020. The only updates I've gotten on my app have been medicals passed and biometrics updated in Jan also. I'm aware that there's been some delays due to covid but is there something/anything I can do to know exactly how far along my application has gone. My progress bar has already ended since June. Thank you.
Raise CSE to find out eligibility, security and criminality status, if they have been passed. Order GCMS notes too if their answers are not satisfying.

Do I have to write LOE for it
No pls, do not write LOE. It won’t make any difference. You changed NOC and still meeting the requirements for your eligibility, that’s what they want to see. You don’t have to explain why you changed NOC.

Good day house. Please I have a question, I want to do a UK police certificate but I am worried about the expiration. So my question, is a UK police certificate valid as long as I am not in that country?. Please seniors can you help thanks.
UK PCC has no expiration date if you’re worried about that and even if it had one, any PCC obtained from a country, after exiting that country is acceptable, expired or not.

For someone who has applied for visitor visa to Canada 4 yrs ago but denied .

To the question that said, in the past 10 year, have you given your fingerprints and photo (biometrics) for an application to come to Canada?

Is this a YES or NO?
If you gave biometrics, it’s a YES.

ADVICE URGENTLY NEEDED!!!

Please my seniors in the house, kindly advice me. I am the principal applicant and we are considering applying with the 'spouse not accompanying' option. We are aware that this doesn't change the required POF for our family size, but just that my CRS is higher if my spouse is not accompanying (476) as opposed to 465 if he is accompanying (his ielts was a bit low).

We just need advice about the pros and cons of following this option. I clock 31 in December and will be loosing 5 points if I don't get ITA before then.

Kindly advice please. Thanks
Spouse unaccompanying means you get to sponsor your spouse later BUT you have to declare them in your application. There’s really no pros and cons to the situation.

house pls is 600k considered as a lumpsum deposit?
Your monthly salary will decide that. Is 600k way above above your monthly salary? For example, if I earn 400k-450k (and below) monthly, 600k is definitely a lump sum deposit. If I earn 500k and above monthly, 600k may not be considered as lump sum.

To the very experienced seniors in the house

Please I need a clarification regarding POF.

I deposited about 70% of my POF into my account as a lump sum back then in July. Since then, I have been adding to it from my monthly salary, and now the POF is complete.

If by any chance I receive ITA now, is it safe to accept it, especially considering that the fund wouldn't have stayed in my account for 6 months.

Or better still, since IRCC now gives 90 days to complete application, can I wait till say the 75th day of receiving ITA, before collecting the letter from the bank and with that, the lump sum payment would have stayed in there for about 6 months.

I would really appreciate your opinion please.
@ednut1 @Kekereekun123 @Mamaroon and other seniors
You would need to explain the source of that 70% of your POF.
However, if you were to receive ITA now, the only way you would avoid explaining that lump sum is if after printing your 6 months bank statement, the figure does not appear at all. So, waiting till the near-end after receiving ITA, to print bank statement could work.
The lump sum staying in there for 6 months is not the issue or solution, it’s still a sudden deposit. The issue is that it’s a lump sum and it’s not commensurate with your salary, so that figure has to be explained or can’t appear on your bank statement at all (within 6 months).

Goodday house, please my visa agent in 2018 when filling b1/b2 application for the united states, lied that i had traveled to ghana, benin and south africa. But in truth i havent gone to any of these countries. Will i have to provide police certificates for this countries. And will canada see this when doing background checks. Please have in mind i have never stepped foot into these countries
You won’t have to provide police certificates cos you haven’t been to those countries but pray that Canada do not go further and look at your US visa application details cos these countries share information.

Please seniors in the house do degree/diploma evaluated by WES have a time frame?

That is, I evaluate my degree now and due to unavailability of funds, start my EE processing say two or three years time. Will I be required to verify again?
ECA reports are valid for 5 years.

Can my spouse and I apply for Canadian express entry twice at the same time (one with her as primary applicant and one with me as the primary one)?
To give us chances of being selected based on our NOC
Yes you can have two separate EE profiles and when either of you gets selected by a province, you delete one profile and continue with the selected one as PA and accompanying spouse.

Hello House,

Please I need our expert opinion on the following,

1. I have been nominated by Saskatchewan but noticed my job description better suits another NOC from the one i was nominated with. Can i switch NOC while submitting my application?

2. Do i need to have the proof of funds one month before i submit my expression of interest?

3. Must the NOC i am applying with be my the NOC of my current employment.

Thank you in advance.
1.I stand corrected but I don’t think you can switch NOC after getting nominated because you have been given 600 points based on that NOC. However, you can change NOC on your EOI profile before submission.

2. You need to have the POF for a minimum of three months before submitting EOI.

3. The NOC must be in the same field as your occupation chosen and degree. I don’t think it must be current occupation.

No. His friend wants to be the provider of the Pof so as to allow my husband migrate to Canada.
If your friend wants to provide the money, he should send it to the person who’s not the principal applicant. Gift deed POF can’t come directly from a friend. So, if you’re not the PA, let him send the money to you and then all you have to do is write a letter of consent saying your husband (the PA) has full access to the funds. Also, you don’t need his SIN to process PR.
