Leyqute: “Barcelona was not Barcelona. I think #mufc had one player that was responsible for that. I think McTominay in midfield was like what I used to call, but when I use this expression it’s obviously in the total positive sense of the word. He was a mad dog.”
“Afraid of nobody. Imposing his respect. Pressing really hard with a huge range of movement a huge area of pressing. Pressing higher and creating problems in Barcelona building up then really aggressive on the duels.“

Itsmedozie: how many shot on target did barca have the same barca that has turned Spanish league to a farmer's league winning Madrid 5-1 The point is Barcelona defeated United at Old Trafford. So Old Trafford has become our farmland too. |

You said I can’t remember the last time we won a QF “MATCH” in the UCL.
It seems you guys think defending rubbish and clear mistake makes you knowledgeable or intelligent. A match means a "contest". Who won the match between Roma and Barcelona? |

Greatihex: I was wondering someone would make such a bogus statement that this current barca would have finished third if they were to be in the EPL this season; then i went to check the laliga table just to discover that the person is not very far from the truth.
Just look at how comfortably Madrid are sitting in third with just 60 points. Sitting comfortably!!!! Look @ the EPL Table and see how Man Utd in 6th is sitting comfortably with 14 points gap between them and the 7th placed team. Also, see Man City in 2nd with another 14 points gap between them and 3rd placed team. What kind of competition is this?

Ibime: We are not in those days. We are talking of this year. Your team look quite average TBH with the exception of Messi. Nobody said we were superb. But winning 1 nil @ Old Trafford was a very good result. I can't remember the last time we won a QF match in UCL |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Debroslink: 12:22pm On Apr 11, 2019 |
Greatihex: Bloody lucky! Barcelona too good for United even on an off night for Messi & Busquets
The Blaugrana enjoyed plenty of possession in their 1-0 win at Old Trafford but created few chances and needed an own goal to win the game It was more by luck than judgement but Barcelona earned a huge 1-0 victory over Manchester United on Wednesday which gives them a fine chance of overcoming their Champions League quarter-final hoodoo. The Catalans won’t think the tie is over, though, far from it, after they were pinned back during an increasingly nervy second half at Old Trafford. In the end, Barca's backline held firm, with their hosts failing to even register a single shot on target. But that said more about United's lack of incision, than the visitors' solidity.
i didn't watch the match, but this is what i saw on goal.com this morning. i think it validates ibime's point, but no, barca fans will always tell themselves lies. the worst is that they believe their own lies. it should always be about defending the club you support.
what is wrong in a barca fan replying ibime like this?
"Yea, you are right. my team was shit yesterday. we didn't play like the team i know. this is not how we have been playing since this season. we have been great so far this season, but yesterday's performance is unacceptable. if we play like this in the return leg, then i am afraid of our chances of qualifying."
everything must not lead to an argument. tufiakwa!!!! You didn't watch the match, yet you believed whatever Ibime said, and you went as far as checking goal.com to validate his biased assertion. Ass-licking at its finest. |

timbros: Stop complicating matters for yourself. Accept that your first comment about away win was wrong because you never added "this week" in that comment.
Now you have made that bolded above. If I give you a team in UCL right now with away win, you will again add "this week" to prove yourself right. Neither did I add "this season" to my post. I made my post based on the current situation which is... Barcelona IS the only team in UCL to have an away win. Quit creating mountain out of nothing. |

simonjassy: Because Barca had beaten tottenham(albeit a weaker side that day because of injuries) or have you forgotten no eriksen, dele and some other key players. We played Tottenham without Messi, Pique, Suarez, Busquets, Alba, Ter Stergen and Tottenham played with their full squad. Yet, we didn't lose the match. So what are you saying |

EvilMetahuman: dominated really? With seven shots?
you think passing around at the back is what they call domination?
Barca were uber useless last night. messi is the only player making all the run. without messi, that team is not better than watford.
yesterday barca wont eat less down 3 in the hand of liverpool More than 2x Number of passes completed, the possession, number of saves, number of corners and shots on target stats show that we dominated them.

Corrosiveman: Funny most people think Barca are now a weak team......what Barca did was what they needed to do if they attacked it may have resulted to Counter so they decided to hold the Ball Don't mind them. Man Utd had a 7 day rest, Barca had 3 days after playing that rugged Atletico team, so who should be more exhausted? Yet, we won Man Utd @ Old Trafford. We beat Tottenham @ their home, and Man City(EPL's best) lost We ràped Lyon and Man City couldn't win them in 2 matches We are the only unbeaten team in UCL this season, yet some people think we are weak |

Ibime: I don't think you can challenge top2 in England if you came to EPL. You will stroll to 3rd in EPL. Playing Liverpool or City is the litmus test. Madrid's BBC of those days were greater and my team handled them well so there's nothing special about Liverpool's front 3. As for City, they couldn't draw a Tottenham team that I ràped 4-2 @ their home. So ki ni big deal? |
