nadina: Hello Nkigirl Girl,
Welcome to Calgary. I work full time with 3 kids, 6, 4 and 2. My 6 year old is in Grade 1 and attends school 8:20am to 3:20pm. My 4 year old is in pre-kindergarten, attends school 8:40am to 11:40am. My 2 year old hasn't started school.
I registered 3 of them at a day home close to my house. In the morning, I drop 3 of them at the dayhome, the lady at the day home does school runs for me and my 2 year old son stays with her. When I close from work, I pick them up and we all come home.
I chose a dayhome because the kids are fewer, less transfer of germs. They feel more at home, they sleep when they return from school and the lady has a personalized relationship with all kids. I hope this helps Thanks for the information, please are day homes free if not, please how much? |

ottawasenators: Full story below
Decision to Travel: November 2017, after proper analysis of the inherent benefits.
Family composition: 2
POF composition: 25 % from pension fund and 75% fixed deposit
Post AOR:
- Provided reference letter of PA in desired IRCC formats.(no payslip provided) - Thought it wise to provide reference letter for supporting applicant since majority of funds came from supporting applicant, just for 2 previous jobs though. Reference letter for current job was not included. Also no payslips. Wanted to keep application as simple and straight forward as possible.
A wise woman once told us that there is always something that needs an explanation, hence we included LOE to explain change of name, travel history and police certificate.
A separate LOE was included in the POF placeholder to properly explain composition of funds.

Daratun: I've sent several emails which they always respond to.It took them 11 weeks from November to February to tell me that my transcript wasnt sent from the right email address. Then I contacted my school and it was finally sent from the official email address on 21 February. I contacted ices to know when my ECA would finally be ready, only for them to tell me that it will take another 14 weeks from 21 February. I can't wait. I just paid for wes. Oh sad that mistake is from your school.. |

Nnamz: There is no such thing as a wrong thread. My question was very legit giving the fact it was directed at someone who said their family went to the said university my girlfriend attends. Bruv just do a hotel or serviced apartment. Search for Jumia Travel, look up hotels in the area. I'm sure you'll find something suitable. |

Daratun: This long wait from ICES is killing since November. I'm presently thinking of forgetting about them and registering for WES today. For those who have used WES, I read on their website that ICAP is already included in the ECA fee, how true is this pls? Apart from IRCC, I also want them to send my report to the body regulating my profession in Canada. When i tried to select another body for the ECA to be sent to, my professional body was not on the list. Those with experience, how do I go about it pls? Call them and find out what's wrong. November is too long for them not to have completed your ECA report. |

akintunde63: They acknowledged receipt of mine on 5th Feb, since then it has been "being checked by ICES". I don't even know what they are checking, something that they should be able complete within a day. They wait is killing me, i check my ICES profile almost every other day, believing a miracle will happen Lol You're on the Evaluator's queue and it will complete the 14 weeks after AOR before it gets completed. |

sweetthangbaby: It's PPR guys!!!!!!! Praise The Lord!!!! So I have been a silent reader on this forum and started from part 5 just after my AOR and followed religiously till the wait became too long and I didn't want to feel overwhelmed with other getting PPR and mine taking so long but in part 7 I read occasionally and said this is where I would testify and to God be the glory I'm here. I'll start with my decision to apply which was in May 2018 and went head on to reading for my IELTS and read and passed once ( to the glory of God) using only three website my score was Reading 8.0 Writing 7.0 Listening 8.5 Speaking 8.0 As I was in the process of IELTS I applied for my WES and that was slightly smooth as I had to pay for tracking as nipost only prioritize mail with tracking so I eventually got it. The same happened for my PCC from the uk but I got it in no time My time line AOR -Sept 17 2018 Medicals/15 Oct biometrics 16 Oct From there a long wait began. in December I callers IRCC on application and heard review required and thought nothing till January when I order a GCMS and found review required for POF which was 21 dollars shorts of the minimum requirement I quickly sent an updated POF and attached a letter of explanation on the 13th of Feb and followed up with a call and they confirmed they had received it.
I also called again two weeks ago and spoke to a very nice rep who told me no cause for alarm that they were working on it as we speak. On Monday decided to call and heard the doc was just added to my file on the 15th March and I was sad cus I thought it would take months.
And fast to today I just received my PPR. I want to thank each and everyone here for sharing their story and experience they have helped me through this trying times. There were days I would call my bf and cry and pray but in all keep hope alive and trusting God in this process. For those who might feel discouraged, sad or confused that there is no movement please have faith and trust God is working behind the scenes, for you. It will surely end in praise.
You are the way maker, miracle worker and promise keeper. Praise the Lord Congrats |

kart042000: Edmonton is a beautiful place, the government is putting so much resource in place to ensure unemployment rate is reduced. Though I learnt Calgary is like Lagos where you have head offices, therefore more IT job, while Edmonton is just like port harcourt. Ok na for you to try Calgary o, maybe something will come up there in terms of a good job |
