Tolexander: grandpa! So you've also decided in seeking refuge in falsehood! It is a pity you wallow in stupidity and more so as a Yoruba. I know people of your kind are deceitful to the point of making foolery out of every ounce of them selves. You are so dumb to forget you posted the link of the article in your post. If the undue pressure of tribal bias has blinded you, most contributors to the forum still have 20/20 sightedness. Again the link to the source of the article reads: By OLA AJAYI, IBADAN HUNDREDS of angry military pensioners in the country Monday besieged the Oyo State Secretariat saying they regretted fighting against Biafran soldiers to ensure the unity of the country. While your silly post reads: By Tolexandar HUNDREDS of angry Biafran military pensioners in the country Monday besieged the Oyo State Secretariat saying they regretted fighting against Biafran soldiers to ensure the unity of the country. Of course, you are so dumb that you can not figure the changes you made in the article even if it rested on the bridge of your nose. |
dayokanu: Body dey inside cloth. Some weird things happen in USA for real. Your deceptive mannerism immediately came to my mind when the announcement surfaced that the 3 missing girls have been found in Ohio. |
Ola Johnson: He wasn't. A prolific writer is one that writes in the three genres of literature - drama, prose and poetry - like Wole Soyinka.Wole Soyinka is not a writer or author. He is a playwright or dramatist. |
dayokanu: Dendemoron Kedu.Dayolodo How body? I shall not wait to be told you are a typical Yoruba. |
This is why I love Dede, as per my senior in Intelligent quotient I say "respect Sir". But I thought one of Ironsi's aide escaped, actually I read somewhere that that the said aide and another aide from the Northern side reached a pact that if the July 29 coup(because another coup was already being rumoured to be in the offing) were to take place the man whose tribe carried out the next coup should save the other. Also, it was this aide that narrated how Fajuyi blocked the door (even though he is actually no longer in command as you said) when they wanted to go for Ironsi. The coupist actually had to gun down Fajuyi before they were able to drag Ironsi out and humiliated him before he eventually died. Dede, I am not disputing the fact that I am of average intelligence but I have also done a bit of reading and will equally visit the book shop soon to look for the book you talked about. Thank You.
I had the rare opportunity to meet with Flt Lt Andrew Nwankwo who was the air force ADC to Ironsi in person. There was no time or instance in his narratives where issue of Fajuyi blocking the door came up. If the instances in government house in Ibadan were to degenerate to point of one soldier blocking the door and another pushing to gain entrance, then saga must be child’s play indeed. Even in the event of arrest by police of suspect in civil case can not be allowed to degenerate to the point where suspect can block the door from the police. |
Tolexander: grandpa, instead of whining here, better go and lodge your complaint to the vanguard.Toddler with third grader intellect, I do not have reason to whine over deliberate display of stupidity by lapper such as you but have every intention to call the attention of moderators on nairaland who claimed to be detribalized to instance of goofy acts of tribal baiting. Anybody who has brain could discern the foolishness injected into the article by silly Tolexander as shown below. By OLA AJAYI, IBADAN HUNDREDS of angry military pensioners in the country Monday besieged the Oyo State Secretariat saying they regretted fighting against Biafran soldiers to ensure the unity of the country. By Tolexandar HUNDREDS of angry Biafran military pensioners in the country Monday besieged the Oyo State Secretariat saying they regretted fighting against Biafran soldiers to ensure the unity of the country. |
I will like the Highly respected Dede, and Intellectually Sophisticated Dede to educate this self acclaimed Dullard what happened and the events leading to Ironsi and Fajuyi's death. Dede (Dede means a senior or Uncle) I humbly request that you enlighten me and share your deep knowledge of history with a less intellectually capable being like me.
I can safely say you are person of average intellect and baring laziness you are also capable of separating facts from fictions. Coup is not a child’s play as it is matter of life and dead. When the group of soldiers who were involved in July 29, 1966 arrested Ironsi and Fajuiyi in government house in Ibadan, anybody who understands an iota of military parlance can easily discern that both Ironsi and Fajuiyi have no command of the gatemen talk less of the sentries. One wonders how Fajuiyi died while protecting Ironsi. Even the ADCs and Chief security officers of Ironsi and Fajuiyi were active members of the plot to overthrow the government of Ironsi. Ordinarily, the ADCs and Chief Security officers should have been the first line of protection for the C-in-C and governor. One ADC who tried to put up a fight was outnumbered, outgunned and subsequentely arrested. Whenever you have time, I suggest you read Gowon’s biography by Eliagwu. |
PointB: Actually, I am not disappointed in anyway to encounter a so-called Igbo defending the murder of his fellow Igbos by hausa/fulani elements, hiding under circumstance. Actually, there are quite a number of Igbos like yourself, who prefer to play the ostrich and pretend all is well even as Igbos are continually massacred in the north with the connivance of their leaders, in mold of Buhari, despite the fact that the we are not in the 'era of coups and civil war.'Bros, you do not need to bother about ill-informed troll who still dwells on innuendoes and silly rumors. I stopped taking the poster seriously when he\she had this to say- “Fajuyi paid with his life, when he decided to protect his guest and C-IN-C Irons”. You can easily discern the class of intellect of the aforementioned individual by the class of goons who are fanning ambers of support for his\her goofy sketch. |
basadenet: Why ibadan? can they go to their home states? abi wetin concern agbero with over loadDo not be fooled by the undue pressure from tribalism and deceitful poster. The protesters are squarely in their home state. The protesters are Nigerian soldiers who also fought in Nigeria/Biafra war. |
Point B, I may disappoint you with my reply, but I have always believed in the saying that what is source for the Igbo man, should not be poison to the Hausa or Yoruba man. In your righteous exultation, you have forgotten that the Hausa man will always come up with the arguement that It was an Igbo man, Nzeogwu, who first introduced coup in Nigeria. Did you ever stop to think how the other people felt when a fellow soldier(s) took up arms and went to kill both civilians and Other Soldiers in the wake of the first coup in Nigeria. You are entitled to your opinion of Buhari being a muderer and should not try to foist your views on other Igbos and/or try to make theem feel guilt for supporting Buhari and his Ideologies. By the way am Igbo and will defend the Igbo course, but I will not foolishly think that the events of the 60's especially the era of Coup and blood letting leading to the civil war, will make me emotionally blackmail. Until Buhari is tried by a competent court of Justice, he still remains Innocent of all the accusations you levelled against him.
It is unfortunate you are twisted out of human form because Muhammadu Buhari’s record as a soldier is made public. Let me inform you that one’s record as a military officer is not a subject of court deliberation. Lt Muhammadu Buhari was active participant in the July 29, 1966 coup that saw to the massacre of Nigerian officers of Igbo dissents and soldiers from eastern region. |
So if Ojukwu (God bless his heart) had won an election while alive you people will be jumping and jubilating. Ojukwu (as we Igbos know, is our hero), but to some other people he represents other things. Abeg, let's be fair when we bring other people for scrutiny. Buhari (I don't Hold Forte for him) acted with the times and circumstances he found himself. It was either that he supported the Northern agenda at that time or he was killed for going against the North. Fajuyi paid with his life, when he decided to protect his guest and C-IN-C Ironsi. That was the era they lived in, and that is what obtains then. Either you go with the rest or you are killed with the rest. Your Choice.
You are simply ignorant of the facts. At this stage of your life, you are still dwelling on silly rumors and innuendoes such as “Fajuyi paid with his life, when he decided to protect his guest and C-IN-C Irons”. |
Imo State has completely gone to the dogs. Thanks to Alhaji Rochas Okorocha. |
One of the regrettable drawbacks facing Africans is lack of ability to be specific. I really wonder why Farouk Adamu Aliyu would be upset with the declarations made by Mujahid Asari Dokubo. It is very hard to separate Dokubo from Aliyu because both are goofy and idiotic fellows. Aliyu in his outburst “if Jonathan, Dokubo and their people want to destroy this country, then we are willing accomplices", one wonders who is “WE”. The same goes to Asari Dokubo when he talked abou Niger Delt or the so-called South-south. Niger Delta or South-south is not exclusive home of Ijo. Also I am sure the northern region is not exclusive home of Fulani or Hausa or Kanuri. I am of the view it is high time some of these loudmouthed punks in Nigeria started talking about ethnic nationalities and stop hiding behind charade to vomit craps bordering on national issues. |
The deliberate injection of the phrase- “Angry Biafran military pensioners” inside an article which originally did not have such phrase is a worse case of ethnic bias. I am not surprise that this thread has bee allowed to reach 12 pages without any action from the so-called detribalized moderators on this forum. https://www.nairaland.com/1281588/nigerian-civil-war-soldiers-protest |
@OP Editing the article to engender ethnic baiting is the worse case of tribal bias. I could not believe that the so-called eagle-eyed moderators who are bent on turning Nigeria into monolithic society allowed this thread to grow to 12 pages. The poster deliberately injected the phrase- “Angry Biafran military pensioners” inside the article for his deceitful and bigotry ends. |
@OP Baring few slips of tong or should I say pen, it is a very interesting article with truthful facts. |
kenyan boy ke there are biafrans offering cows left and right for the Ekiti princess. ileke ezioku ?
Are you normal? |
It was not long ago that news surfaced and alleged that JPROSS contractual fund has been traced to Lebanon by EFCC. The moment the news that EFCC has traced the JPROSS road contract fund to Lebanon appeared, the street tout called governor of Imo State staged a road accident in his home town, Orlu. Next action that followed was a rush to London hospital. Now, the so-called assistances are telling gullible Imo State people that the governor has gone to Israel. I guess Rochas Okorocha might have gone to Israel on vacation or state visit. Even a fifth grade realizes that Israel shares common border with Lebanon, the country where the alleged JPROSS road contract fund has been located. Rochas Okorocha can fool majority of Imo State people but he can fool all. |
Obiagu1: My position is that you can address someone properly and still make your point. You can't start an argument/discussion with someone and every time you want to talk, you'll call him "isiukwa" and then make your point. If he wants to make his own point, he'll definitely retaliate with a similar name. If that name refers to just that person, he might not be bothered because he understands you but when it refers to more that one person, others might not find it funny. Is it not laughable and condescending the above explanation was non-existence when “IBO” was freely and continuously used in a text on this forum even some Igbo peeps objected to the usage? The Yoruba peeps insisted such usage was in text and proffered examples that included Achebe’s work. Was it not this instance that spurred Igbo peeps to produce examples were Yoruba, Yooba, Yoruba, Ausa, Hausawa, Habe , etc have been used in a text too? May I ask you what suddenly engendered the change of the playing field? |
I can not possibly have issue with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on this issue. Those milk jugs on that lady’s chest are full. But come on guys, body no be stick o!!! |
@OP I can safely say you have a misplaced priority in journalism with the case of Reuben Abbati. You may have been fascinated with certain works of journalists as you attested but in the case of Abbati. There is no doubt you appreciated the crap Abbati was spewing not long ago especially the hack job he did on Nigeria\Biafra war when he was on the editorial board of the Nigerian newspaper, The Guardian. When Abbati no longer spew the crap you wanted to hear, you develop apathetic sentiment to journalism. I am shock to hear Dr. Reuben Abbati was the best student from University of Calaber. When he, Abbati and other African journalists, attend a course at the UM, College Park, Abbati was the butt of the session. When he started writing the nonsensical craps about Biafra and Ndigbo, I contributed to getting him fired from The Guardian Group of Newspapers because he showed lack of knowledge in the acts of journalism. In fact, my group recommended that Abbati should not hold a position of gateman in the company. In addition, I am happy to learn from you that Dr Abbati was born in 1965 and could be, at least, 5 years ago when the civil war ended. No wonder he was moronically useless in recounting the events of the civil war era. |
no wonder!! Ileke, whats going on, why texas? i was wondering who the hell is this chick throwing blows at dede like that.
Yes!!! She ran away with one Kenyan boy from Florida to Texas. It is good her cover has been uncovered. |
I'm complaining. I want you and Dede banned. Quote me, slugga Mechanic aint a real job? That's why they get thousands out of your pocket for fixing small problems your brain cant fathom. Dont talk this way to my #2 fave mod, son
This is typical mentality found among most Nigerians. If a person has contrary opinion, they want the person banned or murdered. We must learn to agree and disagree or trust and verify. |
rotflmaoooo wtf? ![]() You keep coming back to this thread, Dede. You like what you see, cinderella? Does it excite you, princess? Do you feel like a man now? Yes? No? Confused? ![]() Funny azz ngga
I know you can read but the comprehension part is doubtful. Please point of correction, Dede 1 is a biological Prince. In this forum handle, it is as clear as daylight that Dede1 is a male contributor unlike you who are still doubtful about your freaking sexuality. I guess you are so delusional you forgot to address you self properly and biologically when you created your moniker. If you fail to identify yourself properly, someone will identify you hence the instance of my post refereeing to you as she. My posts never suggested any slight on Asiwaju for feasting his eyes on those paw-paws. In my candid opinion, you are a basement punk azz nigga |
eko ilee: NL is indeed full of sexually repressed people.Eko Ole Shut up your putrid mouth!! On a nice day without cameras clicking away, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu would have said what you have stupidly vomited in the above post. |
Obiagu1: What's so difficult for people to use the right spellings? Yoruba or Igbo is not difficult to type except you have leprosy of the finger.I could not believe Obiagu1 will ever be associated with the above type of kneejerk approach to this matter. Anyway, human beings are subjects of change. However, my motto is fairness. |
Dede1, according to the senior moderator, OAM4J, you have done nothing wrong. I reproduce OAM4J's post after a long discussion in a thread which included contributions from all of us, Seun, OAM4J, and others. This Ikenna352 cannot willy nilly change rules, we are not his children here. If Oga at the top has changed the rule, we need to know. So Ikenna352, did Seun tell you to reverse OAM4J's decision, if not, stop bothering us with this issue.
Bros, I guess we are dealing with senseless rascality and irascible juvenility on this forum. |
