TV/Movies / Re: Reps Approve Pay-as-you-go, Price Reduction For DSTV, Others by Dee60: 5:24pm On Jul 15
Government has no right whatsoever to regulate pricing for private businesses.

How do they encourage other entrants? That is what they need to look at. It is somewhat funny when you kill existing businesses (local and foreign) and at the same time you are spending money to go out looking for foreign investors!
Politics / Re: Next President Must Be From South - Southern Governors Agree by Dee60: 4:20pm On Jul 05
Politicians. They know within them that what they are saying isn't true! They dont even belong to the same party.
Education / Re: JAMB: Farook Kperogi's Suggestion On UTME by Dee60: 10:30am On Jun 29
How did you pass excellently last year and then fail the same exam woefully this year?
Are you growing in sense or is your brain leaking?

Seems the poverty on the land has become more miserable as it has now forced students to write their exams themselves because, extra cash to pay "mercenaries" is unavailable grin grin

Besides, this idea originated from the national assembly sometime ago but, it obviously cant be implemented because of the revenue benefits of maintaining it as it currently is

What's tha business?

Read his suggestion again. It is the bechmark that keeps changing. Your 296 may not qualify you in Year 2019 because the benchmark is 300. Then the benchmark changes to 296 in Year 2020 and somehow you score 295, should you be failed again? They should just admit you because you have met that benchmark before. That is the point. The suggestion is spot on.

Lagos State will use 3 months to patch up a road!

Please tell our Governor that people are suffering so much in traffic.

It is either we phase the jobs (and not try to fix all major roads at the same time) or we find a way to deliver the jobs faster.

Please o. Na beg we beg.

Look at him destroying bridges.

They are hypocrites and they have been treating your oga in their hospitals.

They are hypocrites but you8 wont stop begging them for free vaccines.

They are hypocrites but yiu go cap in hands to beg them for weapons.

Ordinary toothpick we still import from the hypocrites.

Just opening your mouth to talk anyhow. Does that make sense? Must you talk?

Politics / Re: Twitter Ban: Facebook, Instagram Must Register As Businesses In Nigeria – FG by Dee60: 6:15pm On Jun 09

Biggest middle class in Africa and biggest economy in Africa, with an annual GDP of 1.16 TRILLION dollars per annum, calculated by PPP (Purchasing Power Parity).

Twitter, by comparison, earned 1.2 billion dollars last year.

That is chicken change for top Nigerian business conglomerates, not to mention the Nigerian govt.

Twitter is shiit compared to Nigeria.

The world has gone far beyond this. Yes, Twitter would like to connect with the large number of enterprising youths in Nigeria but of what use is one administration to them? Soldier go, soldier comes, Twitter is still there? You forgot that Twitter completely took down the account of a sitting US President. How did that affect their business? Where is that account now? They just banned it for another 2 years. You may have forgotten that a section of the house has already asked Nigerians to continue to use Twitter.

Facebook rubbed salt on the injury when they deleted the same tweet government complained about. Please is FB not scared of Nigeria? And why has the government not banned FB?

In my opinion, what we have just done is cheap publicity for Twitter. When government lifts the ban you will see how many people will jump to have accounts, those that did nt even think of opening Twitter before now.

Dear Governor,

Please and please, do not do in TEN weeks what you can accomplish in THREE weeks.

Free yourself from the grips of those who like to see Lagos people suffer.

Thank you.

Civil servants or Evil servants? They are all over the place behaving like bandits and collecting 'ransoms' from citizens.
Education / Re: Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Appointed Dean, University College, London (Photo) by Dee60: 10:40am On May 19
The North is the problem of the north.

If they allow merit and competition they would have become like Dubai perhaps. But their short-sightedness is what has made it the centre of banditry today.

When you insist that your people can get 40/400 and gain admission whereas a southerner with 240/400 cannot, you just end up breeding mediocrity all the time.

This person followed a different path. Maybe his parents were enlightened to guide him on the path of excellence. It is paying off for him. Thank God he did not allow his talent to end up in the forest waiting to collect ransom.

It will only matter if the OP is the only one invited for the interview.

You are right. If they are come accross this trail they may try to find out who wrote it. It sounds funny anyway. from factory supervisor to executive assistant

Some of the most successful Christian leaders in the world are from SW Nigeria. Thank God for that. It is sad that someone will call them fake. There are fake pastors, no doubt, but to call them all fake is really below the belt. This man goofed big time.

Too late for all this talk. I read the court wedding has taken place. She is already married. Let her carry her cross.

Where did you read that court wedding has been done?

Lady, speak to your parents or your pastor (if you are a Christian) and get counsel.

If you were my daughter I wont let you run into what looks like a snare.

It only becomes too late after you have taken your vows. before then, use your senses.
