This is not totally problem of the govt, the pipu should be blame the most, many of those roads have drainages that can withstand the water and in worst case, after hours it will go but pipu just keep dumping all sort of refuse on the drainages.so when the citizens are not responsible, who should we blame? Pls baba Buhari bring back WAI |

kessler53: FDP is coming to power in 2019.it is the party that will move Nigeria forward and not this scam party called APC. I dunno whatever d name shall be, but I foresee in the near future a new political party largely constituted by youths, young professionals with integrity that will be totally detached of these present crop of agbayas whose generations eventually failed ours. So Nigeria's political system is still a work in progress, but we shall get there |

Anyway, there is no difference, but at that point in time there was a need to demystify the popular belief that PDP is untouchable which thank God we successfully did. Now the challenge is we now know that our vote is our power, what is now needed is by 2019 to have a completely new different political party with real ideologies and integrity. |

Our govt should designs programs to reduce poverty greatly in the society, thats the only way by which sanity can return to the nation. For decades, the ruling class and the government have left things aside, leaving them to deteriorate to this level, only now to be looking for a military solution which will never work, they should focus on people better living oriented programs and wahala and fitina go reduce greatly for 9ja |

i don't agree with u, all those things, even after the military intervened, has it been solved?? NO. So no need for militaries coming to interfere in a democracy, when something is in his infancy state, u leave it to mature and thats what Nigeria's democracy needs, thats if we still want to stay as one Nigeria Largas: in an era where elecyns are rigged and the only chance for civilians populace to sort things out through the ballot box is eliminated. what then is the hope?
If the coup was totally successful. I would be very grateful. look at the level corruption has voucher Nigeria to. |

Largas: development you say? in a time when corruption was worse than what we are witnessing today, with shams held, and called election.
Even Awolowo protested against the sham called election and the corruption evident in the federal government, hence was put in calabar prison.
Once again, research and be enlightened. u mean corruption was worse in the 60's than now, u must b a joker. And even at that, the military guys have no business in governance, the civilian populace can always sort themselves out. |

seriously, thats the best thing to move forward but seems the old self acclaimed opportunist leaders don't want it that way cos of their personal vast connections and interests across the land, that's why u will hear them saying on unity we stand. pBuhari: the best option for this country is to separate into regions so that each religion will control their small part |

This boko haram ish might degenerate to something even worst o, the govt and d people of this country must find a lasting solution, i fear nigeria going the way of somalia or ultimately break up, seems the wedding of uncommon ethnics groups called Nigeria is not working by all indications, maybe the divorce will be the final solution....... |

but military shouldn't have interfered bro, by today, we would have gotten it right democratically. In a typical military coup, the guy that will head the government subsequently after the coup might not be the main brain behind the coup plotting process but he would definitely be a member of the coup plotters. bushdoc9919: As I said....he did not plan the coup....and was targeted by the plotters.(They failed).
As for Nigeria's problems...they began with the massive corruption of the First Republic...and the massive rigging and violence of the 1964 and 65 elections.
Here is the Special Branch(now known as the DSS) report of the first coup: http://www.waado.org/nigerdelta/nigeria_facts/MilitaryRule/Omoigui/1966Coup-PartThree.html |

story, a coup plotter is a coup plotter bushdoc9919: Ironsi did not lead the first coup...that honor belongs to the five majors.(Nzeogwu, Ifeajiuana,Okafor, Ademoyega, Gbuile).
Ironsi tried to put down the first coup....but was unsuccessful. He later was handed over power by the Politicians.... |
