highfivetnt: I don't think anybody will want to monitor a civilian phone. This is just conspiracy theory
Our phone is constantly monitored. You cannot use your android device effectively without your email. Your email is linked to you.
There's something called big data. Big data collects user information and utilise them. I am not saying Big data is used on devices, but the concept is rich to explain this: "That we are monitored!"
Just try this out: Talk about any topic that you have not browsed about before when your smartphone is connected to the internet frequently all the time. You will see ads about the topic when you open a website or use the Facebook app or other devices.
If you read the privacy and terms condition of mobile applications, you will discover that many apps from PlayStore or Appstore spy on us. It's used in marketing for targeted ads. That is why you can get some weird ads sometimes.
Take a look at your email, you might have probably received some emails from people you don't even know about or from websites you have never browsed. How then did they get your email address?

AmIaYahooGirl: I really don't understand all these talks, like despite all I've been through, isn't staying alone the best option? Or is there something wrong with staying alone as a single young lady?
Your humble opinion is needed, thanks
I made the decision of staying alone at 25. I am 27 now. And yes, everyone was surprised I left home. They never believed I could take that step, especially when the economic condition of Nigeria is not helping.
People will always talk, no matter what. Just do your thing and live your life. If you find love, that's good. Don't show a bad attitude to those who think you should not be living alone. You can learn a lot from whatever they will say to you.
I have always tried to mind my own business, and that has been very helpful. Assuming we live close, we would even become friends. You get sense!
logon599: I must mention and commend Sterling for being someone that consistently speaks out against treatment of people of color. He's been doing that for so long and at least he'll be remembered for it. It's good to be remembered for something.
We are not people of colour. The "Oyinbos" are actually the one of colour. I think this will be useful to you. It's an age long poem.
"When I'm born I'm black, when I grow up I'm black, when I'm in the sun I'm black, when I'm sick I'm black, when I die I'm black, and you... when you're born you're pink, when you grow up you're white, when you're cold you're blue, when you're sick you're blue, when you die you're green and you dare call me colored".
chatinent: I tell guys, stop treating a lady as a demigoddess, treat her as human. If she snubs you, make her know she doesn't exist. If she feels wings, you have to feel fly. All the girls I dated once felt wings but were crushing. They saw I wasn't ready to dance to their hard-to-get shitty stuff, they had to engage a relationship. . I make my rules. I stick to them. Inasmuch as I don't want and will never need or request sex from you (as a girlfriend), don't do anything absurd! . Because my girlfriend is the one who gave the relationship an offshoot, she yearns to keep it, and try all possibilities. Am I cheating on her because she wooed? No. I don't cheat. . I don't casualize dating too. I see it as strictly a marriage stepping-stone. More to that, I cannot worship a co-human.

Heathrow44: U did well mehn, u did wat needed t be done & posterity would remember u 4 saving d society another failed marriage & drama filled life.. Cheers!!
Favour wants to ruin my life. I am glad I was quick to notice it on time. She would jokingly call me a f*cking boyfriend, and she would even tease me that I am "forming".
Well, the relationship hasn't been up to 2 two months, and to end it quick.
Everything, or on a better pedestal, most things rest on the government. Yes, we should do a good job on our side, but we should know that everything we do, especially in the business and job creation aspects of life are regulated and controlled by the government.
Someone can afford to $100 in a month about 6 years ago, but he finds it difficult to pay $95 now. By numbers, he is paying more on a lesser valued currency.
Anyway, without digressing, I would like to suggest that the government should create an enabling atmosphere that would make businesses grow. If they can make basic amenity like electricity to become better, many businesses will not crash and go out of business.
About human behavior, it is natural. Humans learn almost everything that exists in them today. They are a product of their environment. You don't expect humans to be humane all the time. Don't get me wrong here, I am only expressing that humans cannot be good in everything be it leadership, demeanour or sacrosanct dealings.
However, we can always do better. And in this way, we can move forward.
Kekeiyke: When it comes to English, Nigeria is not considered as a native English speaking country. That's why English tests like IELTS, TOEFL and others are required b4 you do programs abroad. However, few schools in Asia and Africa employ English teachers with TEFL and other certifications but it's not really easy. The easiest is to get the certification and get employed in the international schools here like Green Springs, Corona Schools etc. These schools pay as high as others elsewhere in the world with good condition of service.
Kekeiyke: With your TEFL certification you can also get teaching jobs in International schools here in Nigeria. Most schools outside require native speakers, some others still employ non- native speakers. It all depends on the choice of the school.
Thanks for your response. But Nigeria speaks English. Won't that be a bonus?
I was doing some research about work abroad. I came across TEFL - Teaching English Foreign Language.
There have been many success stories about getting a teaching job in some countries like China, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, and some advanced countries.
Some of the employees are not Nigerian, and some of these jobs are open to all nationalities, both native English speakers and non-native English speakers.
For one to be eligible, he or she must have a TEFL certificate and a bachelor degree of any discipline.
I need opinions and Information about a Nigerian getting a job with TEFL. If you have any experience to share, please share.
Please what kind of skill is that? I am really interested in the skill.
Education is good, but the money is better. You can skip classes if attendance is not compulsory, maybe once in a while. Just try to make as much money you can make because the current dispensation of Nigerian labour market is something not to talk about.
Hello the compuer gurus of nairaland. I have a problem with my computer. The applications are showing word as seen in the image. When I open the windows menu and click on any application, it will launch to Ms Word. How do I get rid of this and restore all the applications back to their normal status?
Today Sunday 08/10/207, I read a thread about praying for the death of an enemy. I came across somewhere among the comments where it was written "Thou shall not suffer the witch to live." Because of this, I made a quick search on Google in order to know the Bible verse. The Bible verse is Exodus 22:18.
From the details on the photo, it is obvious that the quoted "Thou shall not suffer the witch to live" was based on the witch-hunt in Europe.
The curiosity about this particular sentence compel me to ask if the sentence connotes or do not agree with biblical basis.
