sexylassie: Nice idea, programmers do not believe in projects or partnership, they only believe in cash, find for a designer, front and back end programmer. Then you can decide on the stack you wanna use to build the app
Have a project management softeare in place where you can track the processes and progress,
What is the market size of this idea
How do you plan to make money?
Where will you get the tolling vehicles from, tolling vehicles aren't much in Lagos or even in Nigeria, almost all these vehicles are owned by govt.
To be sincere, this is a capital intensive business, you will have to have you own tolling vehicles to make this a success.
Your competition is govt
What is your business model, your best bet will be to copy the business model of gokada
Own your own private fleet of tolling vehicles, employ drivers, create your app, spend money on marketing.
Get your govt licences
Note, if you want funding, nobody will fund you, if you don't have the business on ground and at least revenue to show that your business model works. He can as well copy uber model and partner with towing vehicle owners by installing the app on their phones and get commission from each job |

I met some drivers 3 days ago where I parked to have a little rest. As we were gisting about the challenges we face on this job, one of them said he drove a girl from ikeja gra to lekki and fare was 5200. The girl's boyfriend (who made the request I think) did a failed transfer . To cut long story short it's over 3 weeks now and the man just kept posting him. I told him to give me proof, that I know people who can help him get it if they want to. Below is his most recent conversation with the man as at March 5 when we met, I also called the driver few minutes for updates and he said the man doesn't pick his calls anymore. Here is the debtor's number if the panel if judges gives a green light 07015896166

ofime123: Please brothers in the house I need your help. My driver side wheel is making serious noice as if the stabilizer linkage and the tire rod socket is demage. But when my mechanic check it out he confirm everything is firm and okay that the noice is coming from inside the stirring rack. Note if I enter porthole the noice is worse but on smooth road I can still hear the noice a little The wheel is just sounding like something has losen from the wheel and my stirring is not hard is still very free.
Now before this sound. About two weeks ago if am making a reverse and I need to turn my stirring there is this sharp sqikking noice I use to here very loud. But that has stop which brought About this present problem of severe sound on the driver's wheel like something is not tighting properly or broken from the wheel. And kazeen said it's the rack that is damage. Pls anyone has any idea about this please? Open your bonnet and check where the shock absorber is fixed to the car (the top of the absorber may be broken.. from a similar experience). Check the two to know if to know if the right side where noise is coming from is still positioned in the centre like the left side or it has bended and touching the body. That thing almost made me go crazy, I changed almost everything and noise persisted lol until I changed the top of the absorber |

dru23: So what is wrong been called a driver ? We have truck driver, school bus driver, Limo driver, shuttle driver (used at the airport) Mass transit driver , party bus driver, designated driver , Formula one race driver, etc ... do you have low self esteem? All these forms of drivers are jobs abroad, some you even need a certificate for like truck driving... Omo it seems like you have a big ego He said "your partner", "your driver" would have been wrong because he's not driving you personally. I dont think you have any driver yet |

So why won't a driver who is conveying people about on a daily bases go on a compulsory leave?

Now may be the best time to get those masks on guys Breaking: FIRST CASE OF CORONAVIRUS CONFIRMED IN LAGOS The Ministry of Health in Lagos State has confirmed its first case of COVID-19 and reported it to the Federal Ministry of Health. The case, which was confirmed on the 27th of February 2020, is the first case to be reported in Nigeria since the outbreak in China in January 2020. The case is an Italian citizen who entered Nigeria on the 25th of Feburary from Milan, Italy for a brief business visit. He fell ill on the 26th February and was transfered to Lagos State Biosecurity Facilities for isolation and testing. COVID-19 infection was confirmed by the Virology Laboratory of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, part of the Laboratory Network of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control. The patient is clinically stable, with no serious symptoms, and is being managed at the Infectious Disease Hospital in Yaba, Lagos. The Government of Lagos State under the Governor as the COVID-19 Incident Commander, through the the Lagos State Ministry of Health, has been strengthening measures to ensure that any outbreak in Lagos is controlled and contained quickly in collaboration with the multi-sectoral Coronavirus Preparedness Group, led by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). We have immediately activated the State Emergency Operations Centre to respond to this case and implement firm control measures. I wish to assure all Lagosians and Nigerians that we have been strengthening our preparedness since the first confirmation of cases in China. We will use all the resources made available by the State and the Federal Government to respond to this case. We are working to identify all the contacts of the patient, since he arrived in Nigeria. Please, be reminded that most people who become infected may experience only a mild illness and recover easily, but it can be more severe in others, particularly the elderly and persons with other underlying chronic illnesses. All Lagosians should take care of their health and maintain hand and respiratory hygiene to protect themselves and others, including their own families, following the precautions below: 1. Regularly and thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water, and use alcohol-based hand sanitiser. 2. Maintain at least 1 & half metres (5 feet) distance between you apnd anyone who is coughing or sneezing. 3. People coughing persistently or sneezing should stay indoors or keep a social distance, but not mix with a crowd. 4. Ensure that you and people around you follow good respiratory hygiene by covering mouths and noses with a handkerchief or tissue while sneezing or coughing. You can also sneeze or cough into your sleeve at the bent elbow. Then dispose of the used tissue immediately. 5. Stay indoors if you feel unwell with symptoms, such as fever, cough and difficulty in breathing. Please call Lagos State Emergency hotlines 08023169485 or 08033565529 or 08052817243 which are available day and night. 6. radautoworks: Isn't that what NYSC is? If you do well there you parlay it to a good opportunity? Not being a dick, seriously asking.
Roads are way better than when I left. Even America still had serious Medicare issues.
Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised by what I met when I got back. No NYSC is just like a temporary job and you do well there doesn't guarantee anything. I'm talking about monthly allowance received by babies and unemployed adults in countries like Canada. About roads, it's possible your movements are limited to lekki and it's environs. Come to the mainland, though they just fixed many roads so you can wait till next dry season because the rains will surely wash away majority of the roads. For instance, Japanese will always use their cars even in foreign countries but our government turned down proposal to use innoson cars and opted for 400 Toyota cars. They only copy what benefits their pockets |

As long as you wake up everyday, you life is in God's hands. The person you'll pick in his house may have gotten it from someone that got it from someone that got it from someone that arrived Nigeria yesterday through Seme border
But then, she still has a point We cannot completely avoid being infected, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't minimize our chances of getting infected |

So drivers should not accept trips from airports, but they can accept from houses, offices, eateries, and all other parts of the country? Is there any inscription on the forehead for those that landed using an international flight?
A good number of international passengers have been checked from their departure before they boarded the plane, especially those from European countries. As much as we ought to be careful, the airport may actually be more safer than the local market or mall.
Kindly hand over the phone to sexylassie please. The one I know won't think this way Comrade Izzo, she has a point. For now, International airport is the best entry point for the virus. |

sexylassie: Yes, you can stop picking up passengers arriving Nigeria from the airport till the situation is calm globally . You never know who have had a contact with an infected person in transist, incubation period of this virus is 7-14 days, an infected might not know he is infected.
Countries are temporarily stopping visitors from coming, in northern Italy, the death row is increasing, shops are closed and towns are in lock down, so it will be better to protect your self by reading online about it. The normal nose mask won't save you. There is a special mask for this virus. I doubt it is abundant in Nigeria What about helmet, standard one for power bikes |
