pope191: Lol, one tin I observe that his complain got to u some how and u have to swing mood, thats one thing about driving, you just want to go drop off and feel free. This same feeling happens to me when I'm on card trip, as much as I don't reject any, I know my swing is different when I'm driving on cash or card. Some days after I call it a day, once I go offline I put on my favorite playlist and turn up the volume very well. Then I start getting some refreshing feelings that money cannot buy from this same driving that has been stressing me out lol |

Sammylee22: Good morning to the house. Please if you pick a rider to a destination and getting to the destination and the rider wants you to take him back to the pick up location, Will it be calculated automatically by Uber/bolt after the whole trip? Yes, but it's safer and better to update the destination on the app |

ndubuis: Coronavirus is finally here. Our government have succeeded in their wish to see this disease come in full swimg. One case from UK and several other suspected cases that are exhibiting symptoms similar to this deadly virus. This is no fake News, mind you.
I downed tools on uber a week ago, having embarked on my 2019 annual leave because I needed to rest. Plan working on uber tomorrow to avoid boredom and make a few more quid since I still have five weeks to go before I go back to work. As it is now, I have to suspend that plan of doing uber because of Coronavirus.
If you are still courageous enough to be on the pedal, you have to be extra careful out there. Take all necessary precautions. Island is where these people usually come to from oversees. Be extra careful and avoid physical contacts with riders, especially these ones with funny and disjointed accents, They may just have arrived from a coronavirus infested country. A stitch in time, saves nine. That's just the truth of the matter |

Geometrix: Thanks for the advice, though it was 2005 camry not 2015.Using it on rental is totally different from the owner using it by himself I suppose, because obviously you are not be on rental. Am concerned in the area of having something left after remitting to the owner his weekly payment. Many people use it on rental. Try bargaining 25k weekly |

radautoworks: That has no bearing. Have you ever been homeless? Because I have. For the better part of a year. This statement above is exactly why I didn't return to Nigeria until I had accomplished on my own. I didn't want everyone to think I didn't deserve what I had.
All I asked for from my parents was "pay my school fees"... And that's all they did. My parents never spoilt me growing up. All my mates in school didn't even know my family had money and used to show off. It wasn't till my dad and his mates retired everyone realized because the quality of our life improved while all the ones that used to spend money like water lost their homes, etc. That is exactly how I raise my kids. They don't expect to inherit from me just as I requested my parents leave their money to charity 20 years ago.
For over a decade before I returned I did not collect one red cent from my family even when I was homeless. They didn't even hear from me or know where I was except to receive my school results at the end of each semester. I did everything from cleaning to selling electricity door to door to telemarketing. That's why my employees respect me. I can do any of their jobs from the cleaner to the manager (and have when needed).
I get disrespected a lot when I go to places because they think I'm just one small college girl. That's how I find good employees. The ones that treat me well without thinking about who I might be I hire. If anyone of you had every met me in person, was I what you expected? Probably not
That being said, if you want to be successful running a business some things are just common sense whether you are rich or poor. Like I said before hopefully she had insurance. If she did, she can rebuild and be more careful. Sucks, but it is what it is. I've incurred losses in the past doing business and it was usually when I tried to cut corners.
I could talk all day about my history and what I have been through. You want to hear the full story, drop by the shop when I return and you will see say that I can understand that woman VERY well.
Also I want to reiterate that I only comment on things I have experience with. Can the charity reach my side plsssss

Geometrix: Bro I would love more input on this because I am considering embarking on the hustle with toyota camry 2015 on a rental. The ride is a 2.4 litres engine, though not a v6. To be honest it has been doing me double mind considering the fuel consumption but was trying to avoid the tag of supposed lazy man quarrelling with his tools until I saw this question by cheddaz I use Camry 2006 2.4L engine. So far so good it's all rosy. If kazeem has not edited the car feel free to use it, fuel efficiency shouldn't be a problem but maintenance. Find out how costly the parts are before you sign the dotted line |

dru23: He does not want to shame the person, mean while the person has move on to another victim... when I tell you guys that no matter how low rentals get, drivers will still mess up.. I stated the other day that, I was thinking of bringing in 4 Honda civics , and put it on 20k naira weekly rental . And I will do 100% repairs, I just concluded that make I focus on my normal rental am doing..
So imagine I now put my tokunbo civics on 20k naira rental, the car will not last three days, the driver will drive the car as if he is delivering 50k .. Smh I know you only want to discourage the 20k rental. That's your only concern, no need for epistle |

skillip: @Felicity, I simply roll down my glass if the person is nice otherwise, I pull over and tell you to come down.
Meanwhile, I don't know why but my prayer point this morning before leaving the house was not to be entangled with Lastma. Funny enough "the thing come happen....".
Scene 1: Was supposed to pick a rider near UBA marina , told him to wait at the Atm turning on broad street, I didn't see him after merry go round the third time as I pick am, n.a. so Lastma block me , ask for Drivers license etc. Saw my Surname and ask if I'm from somewhere, I responded Las las I tell them make them no vex say I be staff.
Scene 2; Picked this Yahoo boy sort of from surulere who was in a hurry to get to the airport, at the junction of Layi Oyekanmi linking palm avenue or going straight to Daleko, n.a. so Local govt tout jump out with spikes , wan enter car , I beg them say I be staff, n.a. so them smile free me.
Honestly, I've been lucky today and I thank God, n.a. so money for enter bush. Always commit your day into God's hands for those that believe.
As I dey so I don close , Sergeant Moridele is on his way home , tomorrow is another day by His Grace. You have left General Kusogun at the battlefield |

Felicity0001: Eveything career in life requires passion. If that is missen trust me success will never come. If you dont have passion for something don't border going into it because you'll fail and get frustrated outta it.
This is the main reason most farmers are poor.
Ask dru23 how often her calls his drivers to know how their daily work is going and how the car is performing and what is needed to be fix and where can he get top notch service and repairs for his cars. Every business is like a baby, a flower and if you dont nurse it will fall sick and die later. You don't open your shop and then go home and sleep expecting ur customer to buy drop the money at the counter and leave without their change. You need to monitor it to the very last breath u take. Farming, like every other business requires more than passion to thrive. You need to have deep knowledge and understanding of the challenges, not the profits. |

sofdoc1: This thread is moving fast o. Well done guys. I have some questions to ask about this uber driving. 1. Is it allowed for two people to be in a car while a rider is being picked? Might be needing help in case no 2 happens. 2. Also observed cases of riders not paying their fares, is there a way to know the option the rider would pay with before you pick the rider up.
I am a total green horn and would appreciate some answers. Thank you. You cannot be with another person in the car when you pick riders. It's only you for now You will see if its card or cash when you start the trip, not before |
