Heard they will be trying their luck later today. We wait to send them on the highway to Valhalla.. No not abesan, akowonjo side. We've been on standby since 3 hours ago when we heard they're out again. I doubt they will even get near us this time cuz every street is waiting for them now |

1daboi: So yesterday I decided to check on my car after 3weeks quarantine . As I opened my bonnet, what I saw shook me! Didn't know rats have been partying on my Engine. They used the spark plug area as their toilet. They even brought fish bone and all manner of bones and papers, leaves. I was scared that they might have eaten some wirings but as I crancked the engine of my darling sexy Chevy, it came alive once! I was relieved. Please y'all should go check ur cars o. These rats are not practising social distancing @gazzuz, @radautoworks, @blackbishop and all, what's the best way to avoid this from happening? Soak your engine with sniper and thank me later |

Vision2045: I beg to differ sir or ma
What the owner of the car transfers fter signing the HP is what is term "contractual custody of property". Which allows the driver to keep, use and pay out the agreed worth of the vehicle.
Ownership of the car is only transfer when he completes the payment..
Even if it's remaining 5naira the condition that bestow ownership to him is not yet perfetected and if a case arise when he has pay almost 90% of the agreed sum in a hire purchase..the only principle that can help in suit is the principle of equity and that depends on the versatility of his lawyer...
In HP agreement the person giving out the car has the very very upper hand in law. Thanks for making me see things from your point of view, I quite agree with you |

Dbossmanager: see bro...the only logical thing is to ask for a mutual termination...that way you get your 100k back.... The only right you have to the car is your weekly payments....so unless you plan to keep paying him while the car is parked in your house... You cant tell him not to use his property and you cant seize his key either....but You can ask him for termination since he wants to use the car....or you tell him to deduct your weekly pay for the periods he has the car for....which wont happen... So if you are not paying for obvious reasons...return his car....and ask for your 100k..... After the lock down....you can sit down with him and renegotiate....You can even beat the price down by claiming the car is not Tokunbo...since it has been used.... The car ceased to be his property the moment he signed the HP agreement, and it will never be his car again unless a clause is triggered that renders the agreement invalid |

Godstime234: he wants to be driving it , from ikorodu to d island . he goes to the island everyday . I guess he wants to be using as it's difficult to get commercial buses or cabs at this period. If that's the case you can propose to be carrying him to and fro (if it's convenient for you) and he'll either be paying you or deducting the fare from your HP. As long as that agreement stands, it's your car |

Lush100: sir, which of the stanbic IBTC mutual funds?
because i have invested with stanbic Ibtc and i can categorically say that the investment projection you illustrated is not automatic. infact from 2009(during the credit crunch,) the price came down never to go up again.
also b4 i could collect my cash, i had a rough time. ( though this was none of their fault just the TAT.)
the price goes up and down.
@ deedee44 Thanks for sharing your experience sir |

nitigriti: To be honest, worst case scenario, you loose all your funds! But for that to happen, there has to be some serious political upheaval - like maybe a Civil War!
Or maybe the bank goes bankrupt; which seems not probable.
Even if there is a military coup, your funds should be safe. Okay thanks |

A305: Not a single risk, the only risk involved is you not investing - lol - Your money is safe with Stanbic ibtc; Even even the banking system crashes your money is still safe because you dealing with stanbic asset management and NOT stanbic bank, The Stanbic asset management is just a subsidiary of Stanbic ibtc.
When in need if cash, you can liquidate your investment and get back your money within 2 business working days. Ok thanks |

nitigriti: @xana101 A305 gave you the best advice: invest in mutual funds! And there is no better place to take your funds to than StanbicIBTC.
Place your funds in a high yield investment portfolio (they are riskier, but yield higher) and watch your funds grow at 13-20% per annum. In extremely good years, your funds could grow by as much as 25% in 1 year. And, to make it sweet, keep rolling over your yield earnings along with your capital. In 15 years time, we would be talking about several free millions of naira in your account.
Let's crunch some numbers: (1) If you start out with #800,000 principal in a high yield investment averaging 12% yield every year for 15 years; leaving the capital and yield (interest) untouched; but adding additional #360,000 yearly; you would have your capital of #6.2 million plus accumulated interest of #11.6 million at the end of 15 years.
(2) If you start out with the same #800,000 principal in a high yield investment averaging 15% yield every year for 15 years; leaving the capital and yield (interest) untouched; but adding additional #360,000 yearly; you would have your capital of #6.2 million plus accumulated interest of #17.4 million at the end of 15 years.
Note that both scenarios are conservative. StanbicIBTC is Nigeria's financial markets "market maker," so its book's will never go red. The implication is that its portfolio products will always give the best yields in the country for sometime to come. Only a political upheaval will upturn its current position. Maybe this is the reason Dr. Atedo Peterside refused OBJ's offer of CBN Governorship.
You have the capital. I'm sure you can afford an extra #360,000 deposit every year. StanbicIBTC is there waiting for you.
You are good to go sir. Please can you also highlight the risks involved? Especially in a worst case scenario Thanks |
