This is what we have been saying. The easiest way you can get Biafra is when your leaders support you, even if other regions dont support it.

well for one!the elected leaders of the Catalan are basically sworn to uphold and protect the constitution of the Spanish govt but the leaders of Catalan have disobeyed a recognised court of law of spain! to carry out a referendum
two,the leaders have now declared a secession against the Spanish govt if the outcome of the non binding referendum
three, the use of Spanish facilities to conduct an act of illegality.
how the Spanish go about this mess is going to be big
Believe me, Spain wont try shiit.
If the Spanish government use force, it will only escalate the cries of secession which will eventually lead to riot. Catalanians who never supported secession will have no choice but to follow their people.
One way or the other, Spain will have to let them go.
For fuucck sake, these guys have been asking for a seperate country for over two centuries now.
It is time to let them go

The catalonians are currently voting. Barcelona footballer, Pique just had his vote. Other footballers have come out to criticize the Spanish government for using police to maltreat voters.
If majority of Catalonians vote "yes", they will declare a seperate Republic on Tuesday night.
Unity is not by force. Catalans have their unique culture and language.
Let them vote!

If the referendum takes place and majority support leaving Spain, they will declare their own Catalona republic on tuesday night.

There are some foolish beliefs that restructuring must involve state creation or return to regional states and both are false.

Any true restructuring that would be viable would return Nigeria to no more than 30 viable states further broken down to districts with mayors / LGA administrators , e.g ekiti shld bẹ collapsed back into Ondo . A good way that would satisfy political necessity would be 4 states each region
It is not possible to restructure Nigeria.

Yoruba is asking for regionalism just for passing time, until oil proceeds may not flow much. Regionalism cannot work anymore. You can't ask a Yoruba from Ekiti or Lagos to return to Ibadan as regional capital

Neither can you expect an Owerri man who is used to seeing that every development in Imo must be meant only for Owerri capital city to return to Enugu for regional capital.

Those agitation for Biafra were right, because it is not possible to restructure Nigeria politically anymore.
Bro, ori yin wa nbe. This is just the simple truth. Nigeria can never be restructured. Those castigating me here dont know what is about to hit them.
I really feel glad when i see Yoruba realist like you. I am not alone afterall. You dont need anybody to tell you Oil and Sea is what is keeping Nigeria as one. When these resources (especially oil) are no more, the Northerners will lose interest in Nigeria.
You need a bottle of stout.

Before no abooooki wanted to hear restructuring. Today a good number are in support. Even PMB has suggested through Femi Adesina that he is never against it.

Eventually, the NASS will pass the relevant bills while state assemblies will follow suit.

You can now see the reason why I support iPod but y'all are too emotional to see the big picture. Ipob is a means to an end. Their agitations made a lot of things to happen. People are now seeing that one Nigeria is a fraud and the biggest scam. Fine, we Yorubas have been advocating for restructuring long since before kanu came on board but we cannot deny the fact that Ipob agitations played a key role in making states and Southerners to stand up and speak in favour of restructuring.

But you guys were so happy that the military dealt with ipob. you were having hard on about the military invasion and killing of unarmed protesters. Y'all happy about the demise of Ipob.

Now, that ipob have been decimated, what next? I wonder why you guys don't know that this military invasion was a tactics by the Hausa Fulani to kill every agitation and demand for restructuring. They thought ipob is making people to speak up and demand for justice. They see it and know that impact of ipob. Ever since that Ibadan summit, The north has been unsettled. They made an unanimous decision to eliminate KANU once and for all, damning all consequences. Now it is done and y'all are happy.

it's fine. Mark my words - we should all kiss restructuring good bye. Once again, the southerners have lost. note this.

Funny enough, when someone speaks the real truth, you're always keen to say they're not Yoruba. isn't this surprising that a statement such as this is coming from you:

"Those asking for Biafra are far much more sensible than my Yoruba people that are asking for regionalism.
Nigeria is all about crude oil!"

So what makes you different from me and Alcatraz?
We should also start questioning your Yorubaness since that's all you do when slapped with hard facts.

That cartoon is not only fallacious it has malicious intent in it's creation.

Before the SS and SE dreamt up restructuring the SW and NC had been speaking of it and promoting it. DAWN has been set up for many years with the aim of preparing the SW for regional growth and planning; if you examine the documents by oódua group going back over a decade you would know restructuring of the current system is one of their principles.

Any attempt by SS leaders to promote restructuring is born out of greed, a region where productivity is at it's lowest where civility is rare and the future is uncertain. Restructuring would not give SS anything if all they desire is resources control that region would be broke and unsustainable within a few years while militants siphon the commonwealth away.

The SE is without a doubt the biggest looser in any plans to restructure the current economy. That region has relatively little competitive advantage. Forget being good business people many tribes have produced champions of industry trade and commerce in their numbers there is nothing peculiar about SE.

The NW and NW could do well if they put together a plan some states would perform poorly to start with some would excel put the door.

SW would be the real winners of fiscal federalism these region has a plan and unique leadership system. There is agreement on how to move forward, geographic advantage, good arable land, access to water , relatively good topography, strategic advantage.

NE need to first deal.with BH , but they have a unique edge.
Please spare that bullshiit about how Yoruba people are the real winners if Nigeria is restructured. Nigeria will never be restructured. You can keep deceiving yourselves. The regional government were created by the colonial government sef.
We are tired of the bullshiit!

I have said it multiple times that splitting Nigeria is far much easier than restructuring it. Anybody that ask for restructuring is not being sincere.
Nigeria can Never be restructured. The Northerners see no difference between both restructuring and disintegration. The northerners see no use of being called Nigerians if they can not benefit. They even have sharia laws in their land. The day Nigeria gets restructured is the day the North will leave Nigeria. Those asking for Biafra are far much more sensible than my Yoruba people that are asking for regionalism.
Nigeria is all about crude oil!
