Palantir:
True he was asked a question about the forex situation

But in his response, he moved into an analysis of the economic situation. That was the situation he meant control had been lost. Who is being mischievous now? No matter how you try to spin this for the APC government, 2 facts have been made clear here. 1, the current government is completely clueless on how to turn this situation around. They are only reacting to events trying to keep head above water. 2, Lai Muhammed has no control of his utterances
If I agree with you, what are you going to say about PDP goverment with oil boom for 16 years, no power plant, no road, no refinery with crude oil prices @$120/140.

When a country like Algeria foreign reserve is $155 billion, Libya at war for over 6 years is $61 billion while Nigeria is just $29 billion.

While not allow 4 years of APC compare to 16 years of PDP.

TBH, I am now convinced beyond reasonable doubt that Nigeria's problems is beyond leadership, but a societal one. Are we just intellectually deficient or chronically prejudiced.
---
This was an interview where the Minister was specifically asked about the exchange rate situation. He tried to explain the factors that influence the rate making reference to oil price. He simply said the SITUATION (exchange rate) was beyond the president since he does not control oil price. He never said the ECONOMY was beyond the President’s control as misrepresented by the media.
---
How the media gets away with such mischief is beyond me. Worse still is the fact that 80% of readers do not even notice this distortion of facts. These are people that will later assume leadership positions. With such shallowness among citizens, the future is even more uncertain.
Don't forget Thisday is yam eater group.

You must be in love with dictatorship, and in love with one party democracy.

Were you born during the era of military dictatorship in Nigeria?

If so, in 1984-85, GMB told you that the youths were the leaders of tomorrow.

Thirty years after, you made GMB president to rule over you again.

Are you not still a youth after 50 years, as you detest anyone criticizing GMB?
Are you saying dictatorship is not better? Most projects in d country today is from dictatorship.

This man is a Talkative, can you please explain to Nigeria what GEJ do with Oil boom of $140 when a country like Algeria reserves is $155 Billion and Nigeria $29 Billion with nothing to show.

Russian save $379 billion
Saudi save $570 billion
Algeria save $155 billion
Nigeria (GEJ) save $29 billion.

For 16 years with the Oil boom Nigeria spend most of the foreign exchange financing Oil import. We failed to save, now is the punishment.

Can people like Ben pray for the Military to take over the government and flush d system.

This is our country we have no other place to go. Fuel import killed our economy, not the best solution when you spend most of our foreign exchange on fuel import. Give this government a chance and support them in prayer.

The previous leader failed to meet our local demand with so much resource, the Oil boom @ $140 per barrel now is less then $40.

Congregation of thieves.

Zuma was caught after stealing $22 million of S.A people's money.

Atiku stole Nigeria dry alongside his boss OBJ.

Tinubu is a very smart thief, using cronies like Ashafa, Fashola & Ambode to commit robbery in Lagos.

Saraki's own is in the open.

And Buhari is the hypocritical crook who will pay school fees of his 9 children in forex & will not want other Nigerian parents to do so.

APC is a scam.
Where are people like you when Tinubu is fighting d military for democracy.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria: The Economic Upside- Kemi Adeosun by Deen77: 10:24am On Mar 08, 2016
Simple mathematics for dollar scarcity.

GEJ - 2 Million Crude @$120 = $240 Million

GMB - 2 Million Crude @$30 = $60 Million

Estimates $30/40 Million dollar foreign exchange for importing petroleum products.

GEJ $240 - $40 = $200M excess for other importers

GMB $60 - $30/40 = $20M excess for other importers.

Now for local refinery to produce some percentage, militants blow up d pipelines to supply crude.
