I'm getting more and more scared with this thing.

This is my 12th day in isolation and 13th day since I returned from the UK/France but I'm not feeling any symptoms. But news like this scares me.

Hello everyone,

I've been following this thread since July 2019. Didn't eventually get the APL but I'm very happy to engage the new phase.
Thanks to all the eggheads here. All of you, irrespective of your idiosyncrasies, are amazing. Even without dropping a comment all these while, I've learnt how to respect each person's line of thought and never take anything personal (so many words here were hurting for real )

Anyway, the success story may not come today but will come someday, so we keep hope alive.
A big congratulations to the successful guys.
I wish the EHs too a successful outcome of this effort.

Moving forward: after the release of the APL, many commiserating messages included the need to explore the field of IT and I've decided to embrace one aspect of it.
Among other plans, I wish to learn and become a professional in Data Science.
Please I need direction in this field - free courses to take, materials to download etc.

I will really appreciate anyone who deems it fit to help a brother with the needed guidance.

Panel 4 is Commercial and Investment Directorate, I think. Were you interviewed with panel 4 or 6?

My heart syill skips a beat whenever I recall my interview encounter. The first question threw me off balance the way you feel when you are scored an early goal in a football final. I still have shivers. The chief panelist just held up his book of riddles and asked me one as if we had a personal grudge. I was like " oga, haba mana, youre supposed to ask me to tell you about myself now? this is not how star do!".
Anyways i never really recovered and the interview was over before it started. just 5 minutes or so! I have moved on anyways, but the little faith in me tells me to hang on by a thread: the race is never always to the swift. On the brighter side. I dressed as required, got my HSE and behavioural and situational questions. Lets just wait for August .

This explains a whole lot and should be the yardstick and basic measurements everyone in here should adopt (alongside Grace+God factor) to access their chances. Thanks pal, your insight is a great fit to the different scenarios.

There are many sides to this selection process. I don't think it only boils down to state or village people fight..
They will also consider ones field.

They should have total number of GTs they need in each department.. So Let's say they need 60 ICT Gts, 50 geologists, 100 Pet engineers etc (just assumed figures)

If they should select based on the best candidates per state. They may not meet their desired departmental slots. You may have more science GTs than is needed or more Arts GTs.

So as much as each state is expected to get even slots (except oil producing states) . they also consider the available slots in the department depending on one's course of study.

So ure somehow expected to be among the best in your department.

It's possible that there are some core departments where they will select the best candidates in the interview irrespective of their State of Origin.. And then use other candidates from other departments or states to compensate for this.

At the end of the day, All states are still well represented.

We really do not know what method they will use. But I pray they will use the one that will favour you and I.

What everyone here should know is that, the power conferred on the interviewers are to either recommend or not immediately you done with interview . The power to make final decision on those recommended then conferred on the management. Therefore, you are recommended do not mean you will eventually get APL, just be prayerful to be among God chosen. Presumably, access theory might hold for those that have received ".....". Don't ask for my source ooo because it is too salty .
