Politics › Re: 2019 General Elections In Jeopardy As Card Reader Loses Out To Presidency by DeepNuggets: 10:11pm On Dec 09, 2018 |
socialmediaman: Let me summarize the electoral bill. 2015 election was a big step forward from previous elections. However, there were some loopholes observed which enabled people to exploit the process. 75% of places where these loopholes were observed were places where Buhari won election in 2015. NASS has decided to seal these loopholes so we can have better credible elections, but Buhari has refused, giving flimsy excuses. He intends to exploit these loopholes again to win re-election. This is crazy! Democracy is supposed to be about the choice of the people, not the wish of the politicians. Buhari is a threat to Nigeria’ Democracy!
Transparency International slammed Buhari’s government as being more corrupt than previous governments before him. Here’s the proof:
https://www.nairaland.com/4883004/transparency-international-shows-corruption-worse How many eligible voters had the smart pvc then and how many has it now? I for one have a laminated provisional pvc and with elections fast approaching restricting voting to only smart card holders means I and a host of others can't vote who we want. I think this electoral bill issue now is just a charade by the opposition party seeing as they've been losing and will keep losing elections. Talking about Buhari winnig in 75% of states loopholes were recorded is just insane from a party well know for their recklessness with public funds and gross abuse of power. Like someone rightly said Buhari's frying pan is way better than Atiku's fire. Matter of factly we can vote anyone else in apart from these two but that's not possible because it's about money and power...it's always been that way, now that APC has the power i don't see them losing out to PDP's monies |

However, the guy was a bastard cracko (very intelligent). While in KC, he went for an international competition and was adjudged the 4th most compassionate speaker in the world. Also, while in in Law Sch, Cobhams was signed by Sony Music.
Cobhams was a bully in KC and there's nothing KC boys do that he didn't do. However, he's still one of the shining examples of Kingsmen we have today. Is Kings college a primary school?? |

awelekiti: God bless Nigeria, amen. Let me quickly remind you of this...whether naira or dollar is shared in any election ( which our politicians always do, anyway), it still goes back to the circulation . It remains in Nigeria and spent in Nigeria by Nigerians. The only effect it could have is inflation, period...and that doesn't cause forex to be scarce rather , forex would experience what's called a glut. You have dollar, I have dollar and everybody has dollar. It would become surplus but in case of capital flight, everything is mopped up and taken back to their home countries by investors. Had those dollars you mentioned still remained amongst us, our naira wouldn't have been so weakened. Thank God we all agreed on the fact that there are cabals so that points to the fact that there are very powerful people in the country almost more than the presidency who may even belong to the major opposition party that control the economy. What really irks me is that we all can't focus on making this country better we just want to vote in a party we voted out cause they didn't offer much for 16 years i don't see anyone actively campaigning for moghalu or many of the sensible others we just want a "magic" this said party can offer. Even when you're building a house you don't just close your eyes and open it to it's completion, it takes steps and stages. |

awelekiti: baba ni mo dibo fun.Only God can bear me witness on that. But I deeply regretted doing so. You wont understand. I'm a business man so I understand better. Im not a politician. But whatever decision we take in any election would affect the economy, positively or otherwise. In 2015, we wanted to pay one of our manufacturers in euro. That was early 2015. Before I knew it, exchange rate of 245 naira to 1 euro had jumped to 450 naira to 1 euro. Many of my colleagues had laid off their staff due to the economic woes unleashed on us by buhari and his bad economic policy . Some myopic people said Jonathan and his people looted Nigeria into recession and some gullible minds stayed glued to that bunch of lies. Corruption became the order of the day under the, agreed . But the situation we are in today wasnt brought about by corruotion . Theres always corruption in every govt in Nigeria. Even in this govt, there's massive corruptiom going on. What happened after gej handed over was called a capital flight. The momemt buhari won election, many investors took their dollars and euro away because they lost trust in his govt. Foreign airlines left. I remember Delta airline very well. Abeg don't feed us we can feed ourselves, no matter what you say the dollar change was caused by jonathan's administration they were busy spending dollars like naira, so someone that looted money in dollars tell me if they're not happy about the hike in exchange rate. Let's not talk about whatever we assume please. The same investors you claim left with their monies is still politically motivated to frustrate the new government...but what do i know. Whatever is the outcome of the elections life goes on, it would just be funny if PDP do y'all like they always do...loot the treasury dry. Nobody is talking about the genius of the TSA and how there's such a huge difference in what is being remitted to the government by the likes of JAMB but no na dollar wey una spoil una still de use campaign. God bless Nigeria. |

kahal29: National leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has restated the support of South West for President Muhammadu Buhari.
He spoke after the swearing in of Chief Gboyega Oyetola as the new governor of Osun State.
“We are solidly behind President Buhari. No shaking. We are not going back to the past years of greed.
“There is no room for any other party in the South West,
” Tinubu stated adding that if the PDP government laid a good foundation, there would have been no need for the rebuilding programmes by the Buhari administration.
He saluted the new governor and urged him to build on the achievements of his predecessor.

To use light you need to pay, to use generator you need to buy fuel. You see, no difference You would have made a point but you obviously have no serious point to honestly make. The only thing that raises eyebrows here is who will take care of connecting and wiring the said transformers to the grid to light up the areas, that actually costs loads of money and may see several of these transformers not getting past this stage of the commissioning and distribution. |
