Politics‘your Compensation Is Ready’ Amosun Tells House Owners by deesquarediddy(op): 2:45pm On Oct 23, 2013
Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has charged owners of structures affected by the on-going reconstruction of the 32 kilometer Sango-Ijoko-Akute-Alagbole road to come to Abeokuta the state capital to collect their compensation.

He said the fund for the payment is already at the Bureau of Land awaiting collection.

The governor who spoke against the backdrop of outcry by some of those, whose properties were affected by the ongoing reconstruction, noted that the state government is not insensitive not to have made adequate compensation package for the properties affected by the road expansion.

He spoke at the commissioning of a poultry pen built by the Chairman,Ifo Local Government, Chief Oluwole Enilolobo in Ifo Town.

The governor also took time to answer complains that property owners were not given adequate notice before demolition commenced on Monday.

He said that, 'we gave residents of Ijoko-Agbado-Akute-Ojodu areas two years notice of our readiness to construct the 32km highway. 'The compensation has been ready before now but our people need to go pick their cheque up at the state secretariat ( in Abeokuta). And we have paid the Central South Construction Company who we awarded the project to for the past two months and we were waiting for our people to be ready.

'I had to go to those areas on Sunday to sensitize the people myself and let them know that manpower and equipment had been mobilized to site for the commencement of the all-important road the following day’,the governor added.

Governor Amosun stated that light rail would be constructed between the 6-lane road, adding that ‘all roads linking us with our neighboring states would be put in good condition for economic development.'

Senator Amosun further revealed that a shopping complex would equally be built along the axis to take care of the interest of those whose shops were demolished to pave way for the six-lane road.

He expressed the determination of his administration to make Ogun state a model state that will attract attention from others states who would come to copy from.

Senator Ibikunle Amosun affirmed that the present administration is working assiduously to taking advantage of opportunities that abound in the state and bringing its pre-eminent status to limelight.

He revealed that efforts are in top gear to commence the construction of three new towns in different parts of the state, stressing ‘'one of these new towns which is the largest, would be in Ifo here’.

According to him, 'We have done the design and area survey. We are almost through with all necessary things that should be done. These new towns projects which would take-off in earnest are in furtherance of the fulfillment of our 5-cardinal agenda' .

The governor further revealed that spaces where control rooms for security surveillance had been acquired in different parts of the state, noting that, 'additional Armoured Personnel Carriers(APC) would be deployed to strategic points to enhance safety of lives and property of our people'.

Lord_Reed: Well despite that it is working on tablets. At least 2 people here have said it is.
I really hope it works...i just want someone that is using it now to come here now and emphatically tell me it works cos i use a tablet....well, its a phablet anyway.

phantom N9 is a phablet i guess

" Phablet is a combined term Smartphone and Tablet, is a class of smart phones that has a screen size between 5 and 8 inches and is designed to incorporate or complement the functions of smart phones and tablets. Tablet is a gadget that has a touch screen interface, and usually measuring 8.9 to 10 inches. Usually not mepunyai tablet features to call or send sms. Examples such as iPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab, Motorola Xoom and the like.

While smartphone or modern telephone, is to feature a phone call, sms, web browsing and so on. Usually have varying screen sizes, from 3 inches to 5 inches. For example Samsung Galaxy Mini, Motorola RAZR and similar products"

I pray it works.

Aren't u looking at the possibility of being retained after a year? Dat kind of experience would be appreciate in the company afterwards. It would boost ur resume, in case u wanna move on afterwards. Dangote shud pay u transport, at least. Not too sure.

Thanks for your response. I just wish they pay us something even if its not much cos the FG's 25k might not even come regularly. Yea, i foresee the possibility of retention after the 1yr Internship, its why am giving it a shot in the first place. And if they did not retain me after the programme, am sure the 1yr industrial experience will help my career a lot. For guys in UBA...are they planning to pay you guys anything?

For those that have started this Sure-p programme with firms...I'd like to know if any of them is paying, i mean apart from the FG's 25k. I was posted to Dangote group, though i applied the first week the programme started. I have been to Dangote for assessment and they've accepted me already, am only waiting for posting to the plant site cos am a graduate mechanical engineer. Now, i want to know if Dangote will pay extra apart from the FG's 25k cos if its just this 25k, its not worth leaving my biz for considering the fact that i'll have to transport myself to their plant everyday.
PoliticsRe: Your Independence Messages For Nigeria by deesquarediddy(m): 12:16pm On Oct 01, 2013
O God and Heavenly Father,
Grant to us the serenity of mind to accept that which cannot be changed; courage to change that which can be changed, and wisdom to know the one from the other.

God, grant me the serenity
to accept the people I cannot change,
which is pretty much everyone,
since I’m clearly not you, God.
At least not the last time I checked.

And while you’re at it, God,
please give me the courage
to change what I need to change about myself,
which is frankly a lot, since, once again,
I’m not you, which means I’m not perfect.
It’s better for me to focus on changing myself
than to worry about changing other people,
who, as you’ll no doubt remember me saying,
I can’t change anyway.

Finally, give me the wisdom to just shut up
whenever I think that I’m clearly smarter
than everyone else in the room,
that no one knows what they’re talking about except me,
or that I alone have all the answers.

Basically, God,
grant me the wisdom
to remember that I’m
not you.

Amen

For every ailment under the sun
There is a remedy, or there is none;
If there be one, try to find it;
If there be none, never mind it

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY NIGERIANS.

50calibre: But those two dogs are completely different, the first is a Rottweiler, obviously a pic off google images, the second is your basenji/mongrel (or whatever it's breed are called) aka ekuke aka local breed, the type that's skilled in the art of human faeces identification and consumption.
You're saying this cos u let your dog loosed to fend for themselves. As for mine, where e won see the feces self?...has never stepped out of the compound on its own cos the gate is always locked except when its been taken for a walk.

meanwhile am only telling you how mixed the Nigerian breed are...like say u go like dog meat self....lol

This is a picture of him a few weeks to his death. He was very sick here.

O my poor darling... cry sad
and you're comparing my dog with this?.....lol i can't laugh.
Science/TechnologyRe: Top 10 Most Intelligent Dogs In The World by deesquarediddy(m): 11:59am On Sep 05, 2013
50calibre: I'm sorry that dog looks nothing like a Rottweiler, don't be decieved by the black colour, even from a distance, you can tell that dog is a proper Nigerian bingo, the type that can detect human faeces from 10 miles away.
are u high on drugs?....does it look like your bingo?

Science/TechnologyRe: Top 10 Most Intelligent Dogs In The World by deesquarediddy(m): 11:45am On Sep 05, 2013
BOUNTYDOG: It is not proper care but the bloodline of the dog has been touched, most local dogs owners are always wishing for their dogs to be mated with higher breeds, gosh imagine the adulterated rotts! Chaiii!!!
adulterated or not...na you sabi, its an invention if you don't know,,,,lol

And you just said its not proper care?...raise a local dog to be like this and u'll know it not beans.
Science/TechnologyRe: Top 10 Most Intelligent Dogs In The World by deesquarediddy(m): 9:34pm On Sep 04, 2013
Ishilove: Bingo is NOT Basenji. The Basenji, also known as the voiceless dog because they can't bark, is native to Southern Africa. Bingo isn't Mongrel either. Bingo is simply known as the Native West African dog because like canuck has mentioned, they are so mixed that their breed is not recognised internationally
I agree with you....the Nigerian local breed is so mixed that their breed can not be recognised....for instance, my Dog is a product of the local Nigerian Bingo but after adequate care and proper feeding looks more like a rotweiller.....

PoliticsRe: How To Become An Overnight Billionaire In Nigeria by deesquarediddy(m): 6:04pm On Sep 04, 2013
In Nigeria,we have machinery of government than necessary, too many parasites living on the labour of the industrious. We have to urgently reduce the importance of politics and return to governance, its just too bad that the short memories of Nigerian voters keeps those political jobbers in office. We are always afraid to take risks as individuals but the collective and worst risk all Nigerians take is allowing anybody to become president.

It is not only unfair, but obnoxious, bias and myopic to rate Gov. Ibikunle Amosun a 1/10 considering the massive urbanization process going on in all parts of the state.
