OP, this shouldn't be news to you because it is written, "For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.(Romans 8:36), and these signs must happen before the coming of our Lord and Savior

So it shouldn't mean anything to Christians when they're being made widows, fatherless, orphans!? In your opinion Christians are OK to be killed like chickens?..
Unbelievable!! People I share a country with!

Politics / The painful plight of Nothern Christians under Buhari by DefHQ: 1:37pm On Jun 20, 2021
Amidst the violence that is gripping Nigeria, the country’s Christians are being targeted by the terrorist groups Boko Haram, iswap and herdsmen, while Buhari and the rest of the world is largely ignoring the issue.

Christians are being singled out for elimination by Boko Haram and Fulani tribesmen. So far since the last five years, the number of christians killed has reached over 30,000.

Last month, five international aid workers were killed by terrorists from the Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP), more commonly known as Boko Haram. A video of the killings was released by the Islamist group as a warning to “all those being used by infidels to convert Muslims to Christianity.”

While the world has been aware of these atrocities, not much has been done about it.
The Office of the Prosecutor looked into six cases wherein Boko Haram had committed crimes against humanity and two cases where such crimes were committed by the Nigerian security forces.

Attacking and abducting women and girls has been part of the modus operandi of Boko Haram and bandits. They regularly subject women and girls to physical and mental abuse, rape and sexual violence, forced labor, and more.

The Muslim Fulani tribesmen, mostly herders, continue their own brand of genocide against Christian farmers and anyone who stands in their way in central Nigeria, also known as the “Middle Belt.” With climate change, the herders are losing much of their traditional grazing lands. So, they have been taking land by force.

According to a report titled “Nigeria: Unfolding Genocide?“ and prepared for the U.K.’s Parliament, thousands have been killed by the Fulani and many more have been displaced by the violence. It is estimated that between two and three million people have been displaced due to Boko Haram and Fulani tribesmen attacks.

It has been reported that the number of Christians killed in Nigeria has topped 60,000 in the last 15 years.

Former Virginia Congressman Frank Wolf has blasted U.S. efforts in Nigeria to date. He is pushing hard for the creation of a special envoy to investigate the killings which he considers genocide. He said he was appalled “for America to see genocide and not do anything about it.”

But The Nigerian government is denying the occurrence of such attacks. According to a statement by Garba Shehu, the spokesman for President Muhammadu Buhari, the “false allegations of persecution of Christians” are “a most misleading campaign.”

70 percent Of Gunmen Who Attacked Imo Are Not Igbos

The Governor who disclosed this in a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary Oguwike Nwachuku, also revealed that over 400 people who caused mayhem in the state have been arrested and charged to court.

Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma has disclosed that over 70 per cent of those who perpetrated violence in the state are not Igbos.

The Governor who disclosed this in a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary Oguwike Nwachuku, also revealed that over 400 people who caused mayhem in the state have been arrested and charged to court.

Uzodinma warned those planning to carry out more attacks in the state by stating that “government cannot surrender to blackmailers, hoodlums, and perpetrators of violence.”

He Said;

“Over 400 of those who carried out the threats on the state in the past have been arrested.

“The good thing is that over 70 percent of them are not Igbo. We will crush anybody that attempts to cause mayhem or attack Imo people.

Politics / Every ethnic group has right to Rivers governorship – Amaechi slams wike by DefHQ: 11:14am On Jun 14, 2021
Former Rivers State Governor and
Ex Chairman of Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has stressed the importance of rotational governorship in the state.

He explained that apart from the Ikwerre ethnic nationality, any other ethnic group in the state should contest and win next governorship election.

Having himself ruled the state as governor from Ikwerre ethnic group, Governor Amaechi said it would be unfair for yet another Ikwerre son or daughter to continue to aspire to become governor of the state in 2023

He spoke when the chiefs and elders of Ogu/Bolo paid him a solidarity visit in Port Harcourt on Friday.

“Now what I am now fighting for is to give the Okirika man, the Ogu/Bolo man a voice..If Wike is bringing an Ikwerre man to run for governorship when an Ikwerre man has run for 16 years it means that Ikwerre would dominate the governorship of the state. It means that you will never have a chance of being governor again, that’s what it means because the reason for doing that is ‘oh they are claiming we have xyz number of votes in Obio/Akpor, xyz number of votes in Port Harcourt, xyz number of votes in Ikwerre and Emohua, so only Ikwerre people’, if they sit together they can be electing themselves always for governorship and I have told Ikwerre people that that young man whose ambition is blinding him must be thrown out, all Ikwerre people must rise against him and vote for a candidate from another ethnic group.”

“If you people allow them and they succeed, then forget your children, they will never be governor again because all it will take is when he finishes, another Ikwerre man will say I will run o and go and tell Ikwerre people I’m your son, don’t allow these people take it from me and Ikwerre people will back him,
even if you are one ethnic group of 20,000 persons, you have a right to the governorship of the state.”

“So Ikwerre people have had their turn over and over again and I’m an Ikwerre son, my mother is Ikwerre, my father is Ikwerre, I’ve no blood from any other relationship, so Ikwerre people can’t say i am not Ikwerre”.

Politics / IPOB, Not Bandits, Responsible For Security Crisis In Nigeria–miyetti Allah by DefHQ: 2:43pm On Jun 07, 2021
…says only North can find solution to herder crisis

Fulani herdsmen under the aegis of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore on Friday blamed rising insecurity and rampant killings across the country on secessionists in the South.

Without mincing words, Miyetti Allah Secretary-General, Alhasssan Saleh, said the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra should be held responsible for festering insecurity in Nigeria.

“All the noise and cries from Ekiti, Ondo, Zamfara, and South-Eastern states have not solved the security problem. Now that herders have left the South-East, are there still no problems there? Herders are not the country’s problem; they only represent a tiny part of the challenges we have,” he said

Saleh acknowledged that herdsmen were trespassing on farmlands but said they were not responsible for most of the attacks and killings

He said, “In reality, the crisis we have all over the country is not caused by the herders. Yes, the trespass is there, but that is not the main issue. There is a crisis in the land and everybody is looking for who to blame it on. People think the security crisis is caused by herders. But in reality, it is caused by IPOB secessionist elements. The new wave of terrorism in our hands is caused by secessionists, but the security agents don’t want to say the truth.

“IPOB soldiers wear herders’ clothing and attack communities. For instance, in Benue State, it is infighting that is causing crisis there. The people there are the ones killing themselves. There are no longer herdsmen in the state. The security people should arrest those killing people and let’s see if they are herders.”

He added, “There is nothing like foreign herders. We have secessionists in the South-East who want to return to Biafra and they are the ones causing insecurity in this country.

“The herders have moved back to the North because of the crisis in the South. Herders are the least of anyone’s problems. Any cattle you see in the South now are owned by Southern merchants, not Fulani herders.”

Thousands flee Kebbi communities over invasion by armed bandits
By Saxone Akhaine, Kaduna

Humanitarian crisis is brewing in Zuru Emirate, Kebbi State as thousands of villagers have fled their communities following the invasion by armed bandits. Three of the four Local Government Areas that make up the Emirate that are worse hit are Sakaba, Donka/Wasagu and Fakai.

A member representing Sakaba Constituency at the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Salisu Dangoje, lamented the humanitarian crisis in his constituency and called for urgent assistance before it is too late.

Zuru Emirate is said to have a landmass of about 9000kmsq, more than the size of Anambra and Lagos States combined. But banditry, which started as isolated cases in the Emirate some seven years ago, has now become large scale and a daily occurrence between 2020 and this year, getting to the peak in the last one month.

At the time of filing this report, there were reported raids ongoing in rural communities, in broad daylight. The situation is said to be causing a massive influx of villagers, who trek hours to reach the nearest urban or semi-urban areas that are considered safe in the Emirate.

“Right now the number of refugees in Donka town is three or four times the number of residents here,” said Mallam Jibrin Abubakar Danko, the village head of Donka, a semi-urban settlement in Donka/Wasagu LGA.

“I can’t estimate their numbers, but they are in their thousands he explained. “They are still coming each day and feeding them is a huge challenge,” he added.

According to Danko, most of them escaped with only what they had on, carrying not a grain of food. “Some of the women have resorted to begging. I don’t know what will happen in the next few weeks,” he said, “We need urgent intervention,” he pleaded.

The displaced persons are almost everywhere that appears secured in the Emirate, including Zuru town, and its satellite areas such as Sabon Gari and the historically rich Dabai town.

Others places where human misery could be seen are Ribab, Bena, Waje, Ayu, Yalmo and Unashi, which was also viciously attacked last April. The IDPs were also sighted in places like Diri Daji, Dirin Gida, Jan Birni, Beve and other areas in the affected council areas.

“We are hungry all the time and we don’t know how long we can manage it here,” Mariam Bitrus, 50, mother of 11 children putting up at the United Mission Church of Africa (UMCA) in Diri Daji said.

Bitrus added: “My village, Maganda, Adai ward in Sakaba LGA, was attacked by thieves and they stole our cattle and burnt our grains. We had to run for our dear lives last week,” she said.
