With all the comments posted on here, I just cannot fathom how the supposed youths of a country can be so out of touch. The poor man has risked everything to make the country move forward yet you are not satisfied and always complaining about how he is a fraud and what's not. Nigeria indeed is a jungle and maybe Nigerians do not deserve good government after all. With the level of impunity that paraded the 16 years of the political reign of the opposition party, granted the corruption fight seems one sided but we have to start from somewhere. Perhaps the poor man should have just left us at the mercy of the PDP and let them plunder our resources to the stone age. |

murmee: I couldn't agree more. I have not used this site for several years based solely on the number of retarded post on here its is mine boggling. I only blamed the easily accessible internet and a smart device. I have also noticed a lot of well thought out responses to questions and answers not some useless comments like "isokay" or "am watching". We still have the tribal zealots to get rid off and not forgetting the set of users who's judgement is clouded by the fact that the ability to steal from government's purse is being blocked by the incumbent government. So I say Aameen to your prayer too. 1 Like |

Can you give more details. 1. Is this your own watch? 2. How long have you had it for? 3. What is the service history? Service by Omega or Omega Approved dealers? 4. What year was this made? 5. Do you have the original invoice? |

I heard she was granted bail for 2M but still I am angry that she was granted bail at all. Driving while being heavily drunk and committing manslaughter is an office that can send you away for a long time in civilised society but then again we are not a civilised society hence why the likes of this woman will still parade herself on national TV. She should be behind bars !!!!! |

darocha1: No doubt sure. I ll advise 2 option: 1. Sell the existing battery to finance 2 new battery bank. 2. At least get a battery balancer to ensure both battery are charged equally. although more money being spent but well worth it I suppose. 1 Like |
Technology Market / Re: Need Solar Charger For My Inverter by dejavus: 8:15am On Jun 17, 2016 |
Sorry to disappoint you but adding a new battery to the existing old one is not ideal but recipe for disaster, you will end up killing the new battery. So to enjoy your solar panels it's best if you acquire 2 set of battery afresh. My 2 cent. |

Hi All, many thanks for all the wonderful information being shared on here. I am curious though about people buy separate inverter and mppt charge controller when there are Hydrib inverters that does the same job now with probably less or the same amount of both combined, is there any specific reasons for this? example below:

I am sorry for people around you if you can so rude to people you have never met before, I hope you just happen to leave in Ibadan though, because indigenous people from Ibadan are exactly the opposite of what you present yourself as. Also quoting Frank Lloyd Wright..... talking impractical, yet want to import the foreign style at all cost so everyone knows the you are the Sandlapper .... EgunMogaji: Typical. I have not said anything negative about adopting foreign designs neither have I suggested such, I was merely pointing out to easily gullible users ready to adopt a foreign design based on esthetics alone without considering functionality and I had a specific maybe not apparent example in mind when I made reference to the garage scenario but it obviously does not fit every case. Constructive criticism has its merit rather than personal attacks. And I practise in the UK by the way. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Architect here: Hi As much as adopting modern design is good, ensuring the design is functional with respect to the location is very important. A good architect will be able to adopt your foreign design , in terms of form and functionality paying attention to natural lighting and circulation/ventilation. And when I say circulation, I am referring to how we move around the house from our African/Nigerian settings. How many people practically drive into their garages adjoining the kitchen/living room etc. Just food for thought when adopting foreign designs. |

BoiledHead: Actually insurance does cover these type of errors. And I kid you not. There was a time when an atm machine was dispensing £20 for every £10 requested, hence people were getting double their request. Guess what, the people didn't pay it back. Google it. |

BoiledHead: Yes Seriously. What do you think they have insurance for? Perhaps you dont know banks have insurances to cover for errors like this. It was their mistake so why should we pay for it? 2 Likes |
Business / Re: Help GTB Cleared My Account And My Account Balance Is Now In Debit by dejavus: 1:28pm On Feb 29, 2016 |
BoiledHead: In the UK when such occurrence happens, the banks do not take the money back. Infact there was a friend of mine who had money paid into his account in error and he transferred the money somewhere else and the bank had to beg him to pay it back and he paid it back in installment. If you have spent it there was nothing the bank can do because it is their error. 2 Likes |

@Beaf You seem to have avoided answering some of the concerns raised by xwolvrine and you made mention of a framework to be laid on the table by the Finance Minister etc, Come on, lets face facts and reality this is Nigeria we are discussing here and not some Western civilized nations where political and intellectual sanity prevails. You keep mentioning that the long term gains of deregulation will benefit Nigerians but what about the issue of Corruption that Nigeria is wallowing in and the unimagineable salary that the politicians are pocketing, if the Jonathan as intelligent as he is cannot address the issue of corruption but deems it fit to plunge Nigerians into Fuel subsidy trauma amidst the on going bombing issues rampant in the Country , it is not rocket science to say that he has failed. And if I remember correctly you mention that Nigerians should wake up and realise that the oil we have cannot continue to pay for our subsidy but sure it can pay for the extravagance and luxury of the thieving politicians ruling this country? Can you sincerely tell me of one social benefit the citizens of Nigeria enjoy either Old or Young that is not paid for indirectly one way or another, let me give you an Illustration using Kuwait THe image below shows the list of Oil producing countries "the kuwaiti government occasionally disburses a portion of its budget surplus as a grant to all Kuwaiti citizens. In 2006, a grant of (approximately $700) was paid to every citizen who applied. In 2007, the government implemented a debt forgiveness scheme for Kuwaiti citizens amounting to just over $1 billion. In February 2011, the government announced a grant of estimated (approximately $5.3 billion), including (approximately $3,500) to be paid to every citizen along with free monthly food baskets to each Kuwaiti family for 14 months." Also note that "Among the benefits for Kuwaiti citizens are retirement income, marriage bonuses, housing loans, virtually guaranteed employment, free medical services, and education at all levels." Agreed Kuwaiti's Population (by birth) is around 2M and Nigeria 1bout 160M not that I am expecting same amount of grants and aids from the Government but Nigerians are getting a very bad bargain if any at all. Simply put it is just not right on Nigerians no matter what arguement you want to use to support this subsidy removal, there are things that should truely be in place before issues like this should be tabled for discussion at all. |
