Looks like the thread isn't getting as much traction and enough anti-Oduah comments as you had hoped, so you want to help stoke the flames by throwing in a few caustic and snide comments! That should get things moving a bit abi?

You'll find out how she got all these companies, properties and funds just as soon as you find out where Tinubu, Otedola and Jimoh Ibrahim got theirs!

There seems to be a linking thread joining sad gits who create Buhari/APC propaganda threads and chronic Igbo haters! Quite easy to see!
What is this oaf writting about? Trash. Stella Oduah companies and assets has been taken over by creditors, but the dolt is here writing a meaningless drivel. Continue in your delusion.

AMCON takes possession of asset of Nigerian senator, Stella Oduah
May 18, 2018

The Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) on Friday took over the asset of Sea Petroleum & Gas Limited and its affiliated companies.

The company is promoted by former Minister of Aviation and Nigerian senator, Stella Oduah.

A statement by Jude Nwauzor, AMCON spokesperson, said the organisation took possession of the company’s asset around 11:00a.m Friday.

The decision followed a judgement by Justice M.S. Hassan of the Federal High Court Lagos Division which granted an injunction against Sea Petroleum Oil & Gas Limited, on the application of AMCON.

“Princess Oduah-Ogiemwonyi, a serving member of the 8th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has been having a running battle with AMCON over her inability to settle her huge debt of nearly N20billion,” Mr Nwauzor said in the statement sent to PREMIUM TIMES.

“AMCON purchased the Eligible Bank Assets (EBAs) of Sea Petroleum & Gas Limited from Union Bank Plc sometime in 2012. But despite the overtures and genuine efforts made by AMCON to reach an amicable settlement, the Senator and her co-promoters have remained recalcitrant.

“Having exhausted all avenues of peaceful resolution of the humongous debt, AMCON had no other choice than to refer the matter to court. The order also affects Princess Stella Oduah’s other business interests for which AMCON has since appointed Moyosore Jubril Onigbanjo, SAN as Receiver over the assets of Princess Stella Oduah-Ogiemwonyi; Sea Petroleum Oil & Gas Limited; Sea Petroleum and Gas FZE as well as Star Tourism and Hotels Limited.”

The court also ordered the freezing of the funds of Sea Petroleum & Gas Limited and its affiliated companies and principal promoters held anywhere by any entity or persons in Nigeria, the statement said.

It also authorised AMCON and its Receiver, Moyosore Onigbanjo, to take over all assets pledged as collateral for the facility by Sea Petroleum Oil & Gas Limited.

“Justice Hassan specifically ordered Sea Petroleum Oil & Gas Limited and its affiliated companies to hand over the company’s business, which sits on over 9000 square metres of land in the fastest developing area of Lagos State along the Lekki-Epe Express Way; two Tank Farms of 500 metric tonnes capacity; a property at Maiyegun Tourism Zone, Lekki Peninsula Scheme 11, Lagos Island and a filling station complex at kilometre 14, Lekki Epe Expressway, Ikota, Lagos State,” the statement explained.

“The court order also listed a host of other assets across the country including Plot 2,block 12C, Babafemi Osapa Crescent Lekki, Lagos State; Block 5, house 4AMobolaji Johnson Estate, Lekki, Lagos State; Office/filling station at Jakande, Lekki, Lagos State; Office complex 1,2 and 3 km 14, Lekki-epe Expressway , Ikota, Lagos State; Filing station Complex at km14, Lekki Epe Expressway, Ikota Lagos State; Staff residential Quarters, Ikota Lagos State; E25-E36, Gat Oboh Drive, Millennium Estate, Oniru, Lagos State and F3-F5, SPG Road, Millennium Estate, Oniru, Lagos State. The rest include, SPG Agungi 2 Lekki Lagos State; Office/Filling station complex at Funmilayo Ransome Kuti, FCT, Abuja; Gas plant at Karu, FCT, Abuja; Filing station Complex, Lugbe, FCT Abuja and Agriculture Farm at Kuje, FCT Abuja.”

The worst part of it is that the Ijaws who facilitated the stealing from the treasury did not share the loot with the Ijaw down trodden. The Federal High Court in Lagos has dismissed an application seeking to unfreeze a Unity Bank account with a balance of N1,902,673,399.93 belonging to Hajiya Bola Shagaya.

Justice Oluremi Oguntoyinbo, in a judgment on Thursday, threw out Shagaya’s application, declaring that it lacked merit.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had, on December 29, 2016 obtained an interim order to freeze the account.

The anti-graft agency had then told the court that the N1.9bn was the balance of a total of N3,305,150,000, which Shagaya received as “founder fees” on behalf of an organisation, Women for Change, being spearheaded by a former First Lady, Mrs. Patience Jonathan.

Justice Muslim Hassan, who granted the order, had said the account would remain frozen pending investigation by the EFCC.

Shagaya, through her lawyer, Mr. Napoleon Emeaso-Nwachukwu, however, approached Justice Oguntoyinbo, seeking too unfreeze the account.

Emeaso-Nwachukwu contended that his client was not given fair hearing before the account was frozen.
He contended that the freezing order violated Shagaya’s right to own movable property under Section 44(1)(k) of the I999 Constitution of Nigeria.

He urged Justice Oguntoyinbo to declare Justice Hassan’s freezing order as “unconstitutional, null and void.”

But in her judgment on Thursday, Justice Oguntoyinbo dismissed Shagaya’s application, holding that Justice Hassan did not need to hear from her before freezing the account, since it was based on an ex parte application.

“The interim order was made based on an ex parte application filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

“An ex parte application has no respondent and the court is not expected to hear from the other party.

“Even when the other party is around, it can only be seen and not heard. Therefore, the failure of Justice Hassan to hear the applicant cannot invalidate the order.

“The granting of the interim order of attachment is not unconstitutional and does not constitute an infringement on the applicant’s rights to own property,” Justice Oguntoyinbo held.

The EFCC had, in opposition to Shagaya’s application, urged Justice Oguntoyinbo not to allow Shagaya to “use this honourable court as a shield against criminal investigation and prosecution.”

The anti-graft agency claimed that the N1.9bn was part of N3.3bn, which Shagaya allegedly realised through “fraudulent activities in the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation,” where she allegedly “influenced the fraudulent allocation of Dual Purpose Kerosene to Index Petrolube Africa Ltd., with the aid of the former First Lady, Mrs. Dame Patience Jonathan.”

According to the EFCC, the N3.3bn was paid by Index Petrolube Africa Ltd. and its sister company, Autodex Nigeria Limited.

The two companies, it said, belong to one Honourable Ezeani ThankGod, adding that the reason for the N3.3bn payment was to “fraudulently facilitate Dual Purpose Kerosene to ThankGod’s company, Index Petrolube Africa Ltd.”

The anti-graft agency claimed that out of the N3.3bn, Shagaya had “paid a cumulative sum of N1,212,000,000 to the former First Lady, Mrs. Dame Patience Jonathan, through her bank account, ‘Women for Change Initiative,’ domiciled in Diamond Bank, to which the former First Lady is the sole signatory.”

It said that after paying N1.2bn to Patience, Shagaya kept the balance of N1.9bn for herself by “warehousing” same in her personal bank account in Unity Bank.

The EFCC said it was on this basis that it secured an order of Justice Muslim Hassan of the Federal High Court in Lagos on December 29, 2016 to freeze the account.

Inflation drops to 12.48 percent — slightly higher than FG’s 2018 projection

May 15, 2018

Data made available by the National Bureau of Statistics show that inflation rate has again slowed to 12.48 percent in April from the 13.34 percent recorded in March.

This figure is 0.6 percentage points higher than the federal government’s inflation projection of 12.42 percent for 2018 as contained in the 2018-2020 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper.

“The GDP is projected to grow at 3.5 percent in 2018, while inflation is expected to moderate to 12.42 percent,” the document reads.

The 2018 budget also has an inflation benchmark of 12.4 percent.

This is the 15th consecutive month of disinflation since January 2017.

Food inflation, 14.8 percent, is at its lowest in 24 months.

‘The average annual rate of change of the food sub-index for the twelve-month period ending April 2018 over the previous twelve-month average was 18.89 percent, 0.4 percent points from the average annual rate of change recorded in March (19.29) percent,” the report read.

Food items witnessed the most increases in the prices of potatoes, potatoes, yam and other tubers, fish, bread and cereals, oil and fats, vegetables, coffee, tea and cocoa, meat, milk, cheese and eggs.

Godwin Emefiele, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, had expressed hopes that inflation would be in single digit by the middle of 2018.

“We are very optimistic that food prices will come down, and as they come down it will help to complement the reduction in core inflation,” he said in 2017.

“We are hoping that by the middle of next year we should begin to approach the high single digits.”

Addressing journalists at the Spring meeting of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group in April, he said the monetary policy committee will loosen rates as prices improve.

“At this time, yes, we are still in the mode of tightening…but I can assure all of us that we will not tighten perpetually, that at some point, we will begin to loosen and I believe that those financial accommodation period are coming on very, very soon,” Emefiele said.

On a year-on-year basis, food inflation was at its highest in Kebbi (17.92 percent), Bayelsa (17.85 percent) and Nasarawa (17.71 percent), while Benue (10.95 percent), Kogi (12.27 percent) and Gombe (12.46 percent) recorded the slowest rise in food inflation.

On a month on month basis, food inflation was highest in Lagos (2.49 percent), Ekiti and Kebbi (2.0 percent) and Rivers (1.98 percent).
