The rich men sensing their plot has succeeded decided to start campaigns, telling the villagers how Chopwitme and his generals are corrupt, evil and powerless to protect them. They asked the people to kick Chopwitme out and put them in his place. They promised the people less tax, better roads, easy life and above all electricity. The villagers cheered and jumped happy to have relief, dreaming about how soon their lot would change.
The day of election came, Chopwitme was removed and the rich men produced their man to sit on the throne. His name was Chopalone.
Months after chopalone entered office, he did not do much, he still took the people's yams and this time, he took more than Chopwitme ever took. He raced them more too. Everything they cried to him, he would blame his action on what Chopwitme did in the past. He wanted more and more yams because Chopwitme ate plenty yams, he wanted more tax because Chopwitme took plenty tax, he would not protect the people from his mercinaries because Chopwitme was the one in power when they first struck, he would not restore electrical type because Chopwitme tilled in the past,
Although the people are still loyal to chopalone, oneday, they will wake up to his tricks and welcome someone who would offer them a better deal. They would kick out chopalone and crown a new king in his place. I only hope the new king lives upto his promises
