By this, the Apostle establishes the instruction of Jesus for believers across generations – preach the gospel everywhere. If we would be called by His name, we must obey His command every day, urging people to come to Jesus for salvation.

Jesus has given all believers the ministry of reconciliation, the task to bring all men to Him. Are you active or dormant in this ministry?

The work of an evangelist is to lead people to Christ through the gospel. Unlike a Pastor, an evangelist does not disciple souls, but a Pastor can be an evangelist. As an evangelist, you are constantly looking for and preaching to the people in the world. After they have accepted Christ, you can then hand them over to a Bible – believing Church where a much mature believer can discipline them.

Evangelism is different from follow-up or publicity. It is bringing people into the love of Christ. Now that you know what it is, can you say you have been doing the work of an evangelist? Are you constantly preaching Christ to people in the world? Are there still people in your vicinity who you are yet to preach to?

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
Mark 16:15

Jesus wants you to do His work wherever you go and whatever you do. He wants us to have compassion for lost soul and draw them into the kingdom.

If I were you, I would obey. Your obedience demonstrates your love for Him and will draw untold blessings to you (John 14:15, Matthew 6:33).

Good write up. But the only issue am having with the write up is the part that says evangelist does not disciple soul. I believe we all through the help of the Holy Spirit are preach and lead people to Christ and also make them grow in Christ by so doing discipling them.

Unbelievers simply seize to exist after death(there is no eternity for them) but anyone who believes but allows self to be deceived by the lies of men will spend eternity regretting it.

The day I told myself I was taking it too far with the things of God. I was doing fine with God. Just gave my live to Christ few months earlier. But things was tough. instead of my to continue holding on to God, I told myself that am taking it too far. That I should slow down. that was how I slowed down and the devil creeped into my life. I backslided. I regret that day. I shouldn't have taken that decision. Though, God has restore me, but I lost lot of things. May help us

You are right , But it is not like that in every case , some people can be gifted the power to speak in tongues, revelation or visions and not have the power of the holy Spirit.
The disciples of Jesus were already assured of the power of the holy Spirit and they spoke in different toungues and healed the sick
