Politics / Re: Miyetti Allah Praises Tinubu For Establishing Ministry Of Livestock Development by delpee(f): 9:31pm On Jul 10
gracealonev:
Our hardworking poultry farmers, who contribute more to the economy than Miyetti Allah, and have suffered from the APC economic mismanagement more than players from many other sectors, should ask for their own ministry. Simple!

Nigeria is on auto pilot, the handlers are drunk with politics.

So what is the essence of Oronsanye report implementation?

Poultries, piggeries and fish farms should be livestock too...I think.

FULANI KNOW BETTER THAN TO TAKE THEIR COW TO IGBO LAND.

WE SHOOT ON SIGHT.

I ASSURE YOU THEY WILL ALL END UP IN ONDO STATE, HEADING TO LAGOS AND OSUN STATE, LAST LAST.

You're funny. Fidelis Okhiria is Yoruba abi?
I think he means well. It's a way of discouraging grazing through the forests which we all know has been a deadly matter for farmers.

Yes. She is the daughter of Dr Femi and Professor Feyi Adegoke.
She's now British and married to a white British man.

Terrorism and extremism are not tolerated in UAE. That's why they dealt with BH supporters from their side and handed us a list to deal with here. Alas, nothing happened.

He doesn't need any form of intervention if he's not guilty. All he needs to do is to prove his innocence.

Politics / Re: I Finally Found Out The Truth About The January 1966 Coup. by delpee(f): 11:03am On Jul 09
Slytiger:

1. Ibos were not the only people in the army, all the counter coup consisted of Northern military officers 😂

2. Ironsi surrounded himself with his kinsmen after the coup.
At the early stage of his tenure, he appointed a three-man advisory team made up of Chief Francis Nwokedi, a Permanent Secretary, Dr. Pius Charles Nwabafor Okigbo (1924-2000) and Colonel Patrick Anwunah, who later became Chairman and Head of the Orientation Committee at that time.

He replaced the then Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Dr. Taslim Olawale Elias (1914-1991) with Chief Gabriel Chike Michael Onyiuke (SAN), former Director, Public Prosecution, Eastern Nigeria (1960-1965) from Nimo in the present Anambra state.

3. Out of the 22 killed in the coup, only 1 was Ibo. The premier of the eastern region Michael okpara was even spared unlike the premiers of the west and north that were murdered.

4. The handing over of the government to Ironsi by Orizu (the acting president and the senate president who could have called for the formation of another civilian government).

5. The unification decree of May 1966 promulgated by Ironsi, leading to the abolition of regional system of government - Historically speaking, the West and North have always believed in the regional system of government as the best form of government for a multiethnic like Nigeria, however this was taken away by Ironsi, leading to a massive outrage and pogrom in the North. Unification decree favoured the ibos as they don't stay in their region like the others.

6. The coup plotters were kept in Jail but weren't sentenced to death.

You people should stop trying hard to revise history.

That's more like it. Revisionists will always fail.

I've always known that they can be very professional and excellent in their duties when given the chance and necessary support. God bless them for bringing peace to Ladipo, Okota/Isolo and other areas that have been tormented by those criminals.

Politics / Re: Dapo Abiodun And Burden Of Inherited Infrastructural Deficit In Ogun by delpee(f): 10:58pm On Jul 06
So sad that Ogun State with high IGR and potential for more has been so badly run over the years. Ifo and Sango Ota LGs can generate so much more for the state but there seems to be no concerted effort towards physical planning, provision of adequate infrastructure and services in those areas. Ifo extends to parts of Isheri/Ojodu/Berger areas of Lagos just as Agbara is a border town. Akute is another area that has been grossly neglected to the detriment of the state. The roads are terrible with lack of proper drainage in some areas...the CDAs need to wake up too.

It's disgraceful that there are still many villages with no access to potable water, decent schools and functional health centres as seen in a report by a newspaper. Those are basics expected to be seen in a progressive state, moreso, Pa Awolowos place. A man whose focus was the uplifting of the poor unlike today's pretenders.

Anyway, Gov. Abiodun should at least ensure that the Lagos -Papalanto - Abeokuta road is completed before his tenure ends. He should apply the same energy and focus given to the cargo airport.

Culture / Re: Igbos Share Ancestral Links With Yorubas, But Many Don’t Know – Ooni Ogunwusi by delpee(f): 10:49pm On Jul 06
What I know is that we have Ugbos (in Ondo state today) who fought the Ifes. Moremi, an Offa princess married to the Ife king saved the Ifes from the Ugbos. That's how Ife became peaceful and they made progress.

The Olugbo of Ugbo kingdom has stated the history from their own perspective. It's not so different except that they claim to be the original settlers in the area.

Ugbos are different from Igbos. Ugbo is bush in some Yoruba dialects.

Celebrities / Re: Imade: Davido & Sophia's Child Custody Battle - My Candid Opinion By Dele Momodu by delpee(f): 10:03pm On Jul 06
Sophia could as well have taken a mortgage to own a house if she can afford to pay 23m rent p.a. IMO that's not a wise way to spend money except if it's a temporary solution while constructing hers in the same environment. Expecting David to fund that lifestyle is unfair while he too shouldn't have stopped paying her child's school fees which is a fundamental duty.

Words of wisdom. He forgot to mention multi level marketers. They always target retirees with business ideas that quickly nose dive and they become losers.

By the way, he didn't say they shouldn't give at all to the Church/Mosque. Just that they need to apply wisdom.

I believe that he committed suicide and the family is hiding it. How else would you explain to me that he jumped down from the balcony of his apartment if not to kill himself.

Reading a lot of novels (especially on crime) when I was young has made me understand the complex world we live in. How are you sure that it's not a disguised murder?
